I have no desire for a trial [with Anna Zalewska]. I believe it is the moral duty of citizens to also speak about what power truly looks like, and it looks like PiS members are stealing from PCK containers – stated Barbara Nowacka in a conversation with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

“The PSL has been behaving exceptionally nervously of late. First, it became the rainbow PSL, and now it wants to do something that is absolutely unacceptable. It cannot be the case that a state's membership in any international organization is a fragment or part of the constitution. The constitution is a manifesto of sovereignty, internal organization, and the internal system. The constitution cannot be dependent on any other international organization or community, because that undermines the very essence of the constitution” – said MEP and EP candidate, Ryszard Legutko from PiS, on Radio Jedynka – “This is a complete grotesque”. 

I have no objections to Ms. Zalewska running for the European Parliament. It only shows what kind of person created such a mess, a terrible mess, in Polish schools. Polish education has never been in such chaos. And at the moment when the biggest crisis arrives, the confluence of cohorts entering secondary schools, Ms. Zalewska will no longer be minister. She lacks the courage to meet with teachers, she cancels meetings. A few days ago, she cancelled a meeting where it was known that teachers would come, and it turns out that instead of facing the problems she herself caused, she is choosing to evacuate to Brussels. It looks ridiculous and pathetic. I hope she isn't elected - stated Barbara Nowacka in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego". - Ms. Zalewska should cease to be minister as soon as possible. But this should be the government's decision, not her escape to Brussels for a good position. I don't object to her running, although I don't rate it highly in terms of moral standards - she added.

- I believe the government will do everything to reach an agreement with teachers, and I think they will be able to concede a great deal to teachers. I believe the government has retained a remnant of sanity and will reach an agreement with teachers, which I wish for the teachers - stated Barbara Nowacka in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

“This is not a coincidental convergence [of CJEU opinions' deadlines concerning Poland before the EP elections]. These elections are being watched with great attention, especially in countries like Poland, where a threat to the existing political monopoly in the Union is perceived. Representatives of the elite will do everything to hinder the governing party's victory in Poland” - stated MEP and EP candidate, Ryszard Legutko from PiS, on Radio Jedynka.

- Civic Platform has such views, I have slightly different ones, which is why I am in the Inicjatywa Polska association. I believe that these are not topics at all today [adoption of children by same-sex couples]. There is no such topic, it does not exist in public discourse today. If we are to talk about anything today, the priority today is civil partnerships, still unregulated in Poland - stated Barbara Nowacka in a conversation with Konrad Piasecki in TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

- I believe it is not fair to say that this election result shows any pro-Russian tendencies in Ukraine. Rather, it shows fatigue with the current government, with the current president, although he still has a chance to win - said Ryszard Czarnecki in an interview with Beata Lubecka on the program "Gość Radia Zet".

- Our primary concern is what happened in the European Parliament, meaning unfavorable legislation was adopted that compels Poland to implement it. Therefore, we will prepare a law that will bring the EU directive into life in Poland. We will strive to construct the prevailing Polish law in such a way that it does not restrict the use of and access to the internet - stated Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM. - Articles 11 and 13 of the adopted provisions allow for the introduction of preventive censorship. In creating the implementing provisions, we will strive to rectify the poor solutions that were adopted in the European Parliament by Civic Platform MEPs - added the head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery.

– Let's just draw attention to what happened. These controversial articles – 11 and 13 – could have been removed. Five votes were missing to achieve that. And four Civic Platform deputies voted in favour, and five abstained. So they contributed to its implementation – stated Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

– Not [not Tusk's fault], the blame lies with the Civic Platform deputies, who also deceived Poles by saying they would vote against ACTA2 just months ago – added the Head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

Minister Czerwińska was invited to the government, having previously served as Deputy Minister of Finance under Minister of Finance Mateusz Morawiecki. The Minister of Finance's cooperation with the Prime Minister has been excellent so far. - From our perspective, the most important thing is that regardless of who wins these elections, Ukraine's pro-Western course is maintained. - Let's be fair. Minister Zalewska managed a difficult reform. Let's recall, today it is parents who decide whether a 6-year-old should go to school or perhaps start school at the age of seven. We abolished junior high schools. Many times the minister herself said: she could have left back in 2016. She gave up that trip to Brussels to become a minister. She carried out a difficult reform, the term is ending, so she plans to pursue her further development in the European Parliament - stated Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

- I expect the government to present a program to achieve what the social side expects. Naturally, this cannot happen overnight. It must be a process. There is no doubt about that – said Błażej Spychalski in an interview with Marcin Wikło on TVP1's "Political Quarter Hour".

Exams will take place this year. I am convinced that teachers are responsible. They will not undertake actions that would expose children to additional stress - stated Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

“If PO governs after winning the autumn elections, it will responsibly take from those who can be taken from today, namely the Chancellories of the Sejm, Senate, and President, and administration. The scale of money is such that it will be enough for the raises PO has announced, i.e., 1000 zlotys gross [for teachers]” – said former Prime Minister and European Parliament candidate for Civic Coalition, Ewa Kopacz, in an interview with Dominika Wielowieyska on Radio TOK FM’s morning program.

- The First Lady works very intensively, she has numerous meetings. Including with teachers, and also with students. However, the nature of the First Lady's activities is such that the First Lady does not comment on social issues. That's how it is, there is a lot of this work - said Błażej Spychalski in an interview with Marcin Wikło on TVP1's "Political Quarter of an Hour".

- I believe there are arguments for both reconstruction and waiting until after the elections. I think there are many premises that still need to be discussed, and the right people for this discussion are the Prime Minister and the leader of our party. In my opinion, there are a number of arguments for both solutions. If I were to express my opinion, I would lean towards reconstruction before the elections - stated Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

- Certainly, in this social area, these are programs that, yes, clearly fit [within Duda's agenda]. If on one hand we have assistance for pensioners. Please remember that pensioners are the people who have definitely suffered the most from what happened in the 90s. - I am glad that various political circles are returning to the President's idea, because I would like to remind you that one of the questions the President wanted to ask in the referendum was whether Poles are in favour of enshrining Poland's membership in NATO and the European Union in the constitution - said Błażej Spychalski in an interview with Marcin Wikło on TVP1's "Political Quarter Hour".

“On the other hand, a partner is needed. We will reach an agreement if both sides desire it. I am ready to discuss various solutions. We are presenting our proposals, but the fundamental condition for the government is that the exams proceed as normal, so that young people and children can take the exams according to the rules they have prepared for. We are waiting for this, and we will see how these talks unfold. I hope we will reach an agreement” - said Deputy Prime Minister Beata Szydło before talks with teachers within the framework of the Social Dialogue Council (RDS).

This coming Saturday, a convention of Law and Justice (PiS) will be held in Przysucha. The information was confirmed by Minister Marek Suski, head of the Prime Minister's political cabinet. Therefore, one can have this or that emotional attitude towards him, let's call it that, but it is an objective fact that Grzegorz Schetyna, without his determination, this coalition would not have happened. I don't attach importance to good or bad polls; the polling effect, and even PiS politicians admit this, is that while before this opposition unification the gap between PiS and the opposition was very large in the polls, now, without arguing, because in some polls the opposition is winning, and in some [not], but at least it's neck and neck. If we are dealing with a situation a few months ago where the opposition was far behind PiS, and today we have a situation where the opposition is neck and neck, then from the opposition's perspective, this is progress. - In the face of unprecedented, false, and disgusting insinuations that have appeared in the public sphere, I inform you that the Marshal of the Sejm will vigorously defend his good name, the dignity of the office he represents, and his loved ones. Slander and libel, disseminated particularly on social media, are a matter of the highest scandal, towards which one cannot remain indifferent or defenseless. - President Andrzej Duda, by decree of March 26th, appointed Judge Grzegorz Jędrejek of the Constitutional Tribunal to the National Electoral Commission, effective March 30th - informed the Chancellery of the President. The instrument of appointment was presented by the Head of the Chancellery of the President, Halina Szymańska, during a ceremony held today at the Presidential Palace.

"We are constantly talking about salary increases, what kind of raise it should be, what the systemic form should be, because Solidarity consistently emphasizes that it would like to see a resignation from certain allowances, so that these funds are included in the base salary. There is talk that Solidarity wants it to be a 15% increase [in salary], ZNP speaks of a thousand zlotys to the basic salary, so there are discrepancies here from the trade union centers. We want to prepare full calculations, information for our partners, so that we can discuss this tomorrow" - said Deputy Prime Minister Beata Szydło after the meeting of the Social Dialogue Council.

"I regret to say that there are no grounds to go to the Presidium of the Main Board tomorrow and discuss the strike itself or its potential suspension, which Deputy Prime Minister Beata Szydło expected. The demands we put on the table, along with the demands regarding the method of achieving these results, have not been absorbed by the government side. We can only count on a breakthrough tomorrow. I hope that the government side recognizes the seriousness of the situation, its complexity, and the complicated matter, and stops making remarks about it being a protest with political undertones" - said the head of ZNP, Sławomir Broniarz.

The Forum of Trade Unions is scheduled to decide tomorrow at 1:00 PM whether it will join the nationwide strike organized by ZNP, which is set to begin on April 8. Solidarity, on the other hand, is waiting solely for the fulfillment of the 15% pay rise demand (so far, the government has declared 10%) and is prepared to sign an agreement with the government.

- Today I sent a letter to the Pomeranian Voivode, Dariusz Drelich, asking him for what I requested on Friday via the media, to all of you, to reconsider the decision granting permission for cyclical gatherings of the factory commission of NSZZ "Solidarność" of the Gdańsk Shipyard on several days each year. Naturally, we are most concerned about the date of June 4th. In the letter, I write, among other things, that Solidarity Square is the very core of our citizenship. On one hand, the essence of our memory, and on the other hand, a very strong and deep identity. Not only for the people of Gdańsk, Poles, but also for Europeans. Regarding memory, I believe each of us remembers. If not, they have heard from historical accounts that the erection of the monument to the fallen shipyard workers of December 1970 was one of the main demands of the striking crews united in solidarity in August 1980. An act was carried out, which seems heroic today, because in a very short time, just a few months, it was possible to erect a great monument with donations from all Poles. A monument that stands there to this day, it is sacred. I also treat it as such. The place, Solidarity Square, and the European Solidarity Centre, established five years ago, are precisely for the purpose of nurturing this memory - stated Aleksandra Dulkiewicz at a briefing in Gdańsk.

- I am puzzled, how, when we have been speaking very loudly for months that the holiday of freedom and solidarity, including June 4th, is for everyone, for Karol Guzikiewicz, for Voivode Dariusz Drelich, for everyone, for families with children, for grandparents who want to come and show their grandchildren, perhaps tell them about their own history, of which they were a part, how can this holiday be so divisive. I wonder what means the Voivode or the shipyard Solidarność would want to use to block Solidarity Square from June 4th to June 22nd. I don't know what means, but I have a historical image in my memory. Do you remember June 12, 1987, when the state authorities gathered representatives of the party and services from all over Poland to fence off Solidarity Square, and John Paul II knelt alone at this monument. Do Voivode Drelich and his followers want to resort to such means today? Is this how Solidarity Square should look on June 4th? I think not - added the Mayor of Gdańsk. As she emphasized, she is asking the Voivode for a conversation and to reconsider his erroneous decision.

The Council of Ministers will address the draft amendment to the Road Transport Act, commonly known as 'Lex Uber', at its session tomorrow. This item was not included in the agenda published this morning but was added during the day.

As stated in the description, the proposal aims to "regulate the activities of entities mediating the ordering of road passenger transport services, ensure equal competitive conditions on the market and opportunities for conducting business activities in passenger transport, and guarantee passenger safety."

"The draft meets expectations arising from the need to liberalize certain conditions related to obtaining a license authorizing the performance of domestic road transport services as a taxi, passenger car, and motor vehicle designed to carry more than 7 and no more than 9 people, including the driver. Such a solution aims to facilitate entrepreneurs in starting business activities related to the commercial transport of people by the aforementioned vehicles. The proposed solutions take into account significant aspects of the organization of the road passenger transport market, including the functioning of new business models. The obligation for all intermediaries to hold a license for mediating passenger transport and the resulting conditions are intended to introduce fair and equitable principles for conducting business activities in this market segment."

„Ms. Czerwińska, if she resigns, it will mean that she has a strong enough backbone that she doesn't want to bend enough to ruin state finances, lending her face to be responsible for the destruction of the state budget. A wise government acts in such a way that when there is a boom, they have higher revenues, so they save them for the future. They have a budget surplus, not a deficit” - said the leader of Nowoczesna, Katarzyna Lubnauer, in a conversation with Karolina Lewicka in the „Political Interview” on TOK FM.

The goal of these elections is clear. The autumn elections are most important now. We believed it would be best if there was [at least one candidate from Modern] in every electoral district. - An extremely dramatic event occurred today. This morning, the former mayor of Siedlce, an elderly gentleman, was stabbed by an attacker who has been apprehended. We do not yet know the motive. Mr. Mayor Wojciech Kudelski is feeling better and better. I am immensely grateful to the doctors at the Mazovian Provincial Hospital in Siedlce for saving his life - said President Andrzej Duda during a meeting with residents of Gorzów Wielkopolski.

- I hope the negotiations will be successful, meaning an agreement that both sides can accept, which will signify a true success for all of us – for politicians and for teachers alike. I will not hide from you, ladies and gentlemen, that I empathize with teachers, especially with those who expect their financial situation to improve and who live and teach in large cities where the cost of living is higher – said President Andrzej Duda during a meeting with residents of Gorzów Wielkopolski.

- Today I spoke with the Minister of Finance; she visited me at noon, and we had a nearly two-hour conversation. We discussed the situation of teachers and the situation in the country. She told me that, for now, what has already been promised will be fulfilled and the funds are available. However, naturally, there is a problem with what comes next and how to provide further assistance. I do not conceal that I made such a proposal to the minister regarding teachers. I asked her to consider, and also to discuss with the Prime Minister, the possibility of applying the same income expense rules for teachers as are currently applied to university academics, meaning research and teaching staff of higher education institutions, and to creators – a 50% income expense deduction – the President added.

- First and foremost, I need to speak with Minister Czerwińska to ascertain the Ministry of Finance's stance. This is likely one of the ideas to solve the problem. I will repeat once more: I believe we should reach an agreement now, that the five postulates prepared by the government should be accepted. We can still potentially discuss certain changes, adjustments. We are scheduled to meet tomorrow morning, after which the exams should take place, and then we will sit down at the table and discuss systemic changes. - stated Beata Szydło in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News' "Events and Opinions".

- Today's changes announced by Mrs. Szydło, although they are very general, lack any detail. Five proposals, four of which concern, three concern Minister Anna Zalewska. This is a peculiar vote of no confidence in Minister of Education Anna Zalewska, because all these proposals that Prime Minister Szydło spoke about today represent a complete backtrack on the changes introduced by Minister Anna Zalewska - said Sławomir Broniarz in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Wydarzenia i opinie" on Polsat News.

I try not to comment on information regarding changes, reshuffles, and resignations in the government, as there are always a lot of various rumors in this area. The Prime Minister has the decisive and final say here - stated Beata Szydło in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News' "Wydarzenia i opinie". She added:

"Such a matter [government reshuffle before EP elections and departure of minister candidates] can be considered, but on the other hand, ministers, many ministers will also participate in the parliamentary elections in the autumn, which would mean, if we applied that logic, that the entire government should probably be changed before the elections. This is primarily the Prime Minister's decision, because he works with the ministers. The Prime Minister creates the team and the crew, and this must be the Prime Minister's decision above all."

- If a PiS MP cannot say that burning books in the 21st century is abnormal, it says a lot about the party's condition. My son loves Harry Potter and attends religious education, it's not right towards him - Cezary Tomczyk said in Kropka nad I, commenting on Zbigniew Gryglas's refusal to comment on a matter he had not heard of before the program.

- We will never allow June 4th to be erased from Poland's history. Jarosław Kaczyński became a politician with Lech Wałęsa's support. The Tuesday session of the Sejm's Committee on Social Policy and Family, where the first reading of the bill on a one-time monetary benefit for pensioners and annuitants in 2019, i.e., the so-called "Emerytura plus" program, was to take place, has been cancelled.

At the same time, the first reading will be held in the plenary hall on Wednesday, during the two-day Sejm session. The consideration of the government's proposal – after the first reading – is scheduled for the same day at 1:00 PM. There is a strong indication that the bill will be voted on in Thursday's morning voting block.

It is not yet known at what time the first reading will take place – the new version of the schedule is not yet available – but it can be assumed that it will occur at the beginning of the session after 10:00 AM, given that the committee is to convene at 1:00 PM.
