In the morning, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will meet with Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel. The welcome is scheduled for 8:30 AM, the meeting will begin at 8:35 AM, and working breakfast at 8:40 AM.

The government session will commence at 10:00 AM. The agenda includes, among other items, an amendment to the Value Added Tax Act and a draft of a new act on healthcare for students.

Also at 10:00 AM, the commission on Warsaw reprivatization has scheduled its closed-door deliberations. At 11:00 AM, the team is expected to present its decision regarding properties at Senatorska 9 and Morszyńska 27.

At 1:00 PM, the VAT investigative committee will question former head of the Internal Security Agency, Krzysztof Bondaryk. An hour earlier, at 12:00 PM, the committee will convene for a closed-door session. This is the only interrogation scheduled for this week.

President Andrzej Duda, along with the presidents of Czechia, Slovakia, and Hungary, will participate in ceremonies marking the 20th anniversary of NATO enlargement, which will take place in Prague. The official ceremonies are scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM, participation in the Presidential Debate at 11:30 AM, and a meeting of the presidents with media representatives at 12:35 PM.

- As long as PiS is in power, everyone can certainly rest assured that such experiments on children will not be conducted. But if representatives of this very European Coalition were to win elections, for example, parliamentary ones, then you must admit that such certainty cannot be guaranteed – stated Łukasz Schreiber in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

– What we are observing today on this matter [of LGBT declarations] is a very sharp, indeed brutal, battle between the European Coalition and Mr. Biedroń's party for the far-left voters. I see this battle precisely in the exchange of such ideas – stated Łukasz Schreiber in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Piasecki's Talk".

– In my opinion, this [LGBT] card and what has been signed contradicts Article 48 of the Constitution, which clearly states that upbringing rests with the role and discretion of parents – added the PiS politician.

I don't have that impression [that the Minister of Finance has disappeared]. I have spoken with the minister several times since [the announcement of Kaczyński's "Five"]. Of course, we are prepared to implement this program - stated Łukasz Schreiber in a conversation with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Piasecki's Talk".

I have absolute conviction that this 500+ program for every child is actually a program of radical tax cuts, and in fact, even their abolition for all those raising children. This program is universal, it is not social in nature, and frankly: spending money on an administration that would now have to count who is not entitled to it, check if that person has not exceeded a certain threshold, instead of spending it on Polish families and de facto reducing taxes for Polish families, I see no reason or sense in such an action - stated Łukasz Schreiber in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

- I am tired, I have a lot of work, but I chose this myself. The cuckoo's egg is the wrong term, since if the party recognizes that I can add results everywhere, then it's quite the opposite. One could refer to the famous saying of the late Józef Oleksy [that they need me everywhere]. Of course, the most important thing is to achieve the best possible result in the EP elections - stated Patryk Jaki in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

- Politics is about seeking what is possible. I asked [why not Warsaw]. I cannot answer that [what they told me]. I also cannot say [who I asked] - added the Deputy Minister of Justice. - I am counting primarily on strengthening the list. Secondly, let's remember that the constituencies are nationwide [in EP elections]. Yes, I expect to win a mandate. [If not] one is never satisfied with defeat, but I believe that I will win a mandate and achieve a very good result on the list - he emphasized.

Currently, a very serious discussion about the justice system is underway in Europe. I believe there is a lot of misinformation regarding how the reform related to this area is being conducted in Poland, and I still have a lot of strength and determination to show what the [reform of the justice system in Poland] truly looks like in Poland – stated Patryk Jaki in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

The first thing I will do [in the EP] is organize an exhibition on how privatization in Warsaw looked, how properties were handed over to 140-year-old individuals, so that people in Europe understand that it's not like some Civic Platform politicians are telling them, that courts in Poland are actually working excellently, and PiS politicians have nothing else to do but deal with court reforms. The problem is that the quality of many rulings in Polish courts leaves much to be desired – he added.

- I am not familiar with that statement [by Marek Suski about teachers], but I do believe that teachers in Poland should earn more. In my opinion, there's a difference between 5 and 8 [thousand zlotys] - stated Patryk Jaki in a conversation with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet. He emphasized that he doesn't know the full context of the statement, and therefore he wouldn't want to pass judgment.

- It is absolutely certain that teachers earn too little, and they earn too little because since 1989, the Third Polish Republic has been robbed of money by various criminal groups, and of substantial amounts of money – stated Patryk Jaki in a conversation with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet. - This is precisely why, for many years, we have had neglect regarding ensuring teachers earn more – he added.

- I encourage everyone to read it [the LGBT+ declaration]. Then it will be easier to talk. For example, it contains fragments stating that entrepreneurs who share the catalog of values contained in the declaration will be preferred in dealings with the city. This is simply a scandal, it is unconstitutional - stated Patryk Jaki in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

- I'll say this: if LGBT circles are to teach our children about sexuality, I will not agree. Over my dead body – stated Patryk Jaki in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

- [Rafał Trzaskowski] broke 10 of his most important promises, and I can list them right now. That's why he cannot be trusted. Even more so because I, as Patryk Jaki, warned you, Varsovians, that if you chose Trzaskowski, money wouldn't be pumped into residents' quality of life, but into ideology. Unfortunately, I was right - stated Patryk Jaki in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

"Rafał Trzaskowski, immediately after becoming mayor, backed away from PO's flagship social proposals. This concerns the notorious abolition of discounts on the purchase of apartments for ownership. This caused a huge scandal across the entire country. After a few weeks, Rafał Trzaskowski had to change his decision. This is very symptomatic, because it shows what awaits Poland if the Civic Platform takes power throughout the country," said the Deputy Marshal of the Senate, Adam Bielan, in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News.

"Regarding the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender charter, I am strongly against it. This is an excessive ideologization of schools. This charter violates constitutional provisions which clearly state that it is the family that raises children. Parents have the right to raise their children according to their worldview," said Senate Vice-Marshal Adam Bielan in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News.

"Introducing activists, lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transvestites into schools, introducing the sexualization of young people. They talk about introducing sex education at the age of 0-4, at preschool age. When you read these guidelines, the WHO recommendations, it makes your hair stand on end. I don't want this kind of leftist organizations to have any influence on my children's upbringing. I won't allow it" - said the Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Adam Bielan, in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News.

“We need to purchase modern weaponry. Of course, there is a gigantic financial problem. If you don't look for this money and don't make decisive decisions, then there is no modernization. When I hear the complaints of the previous Minister of Defence from the previous government about the MiG-29s, I ask - what were you thinking in 2011 when you decided to extend the operational life of these aircraft? That is the question. Was there no problem then? Did you not foresee then that it would become dangerous and that the issue of their further repairs would be questionable?” - President Andrzej Duda asked on Radio Szczecin. “Minister Błaszczak has declared clearly and unequivocally that he wants Poland to buy fifth-generation aircraft. We will strive for this. We have already initiated talks with the American side,” he added.

- In a democratic state, everyone has the right to protest and express their opinion. This is also the case for the teaching community, but a responsible state must ensure the safety of children. Those children who experience the consequences of the teachers' strike will not learn certain parts of the curriculum, for example, about powers. This should not happen because a child will not return to this stage of their education. They will also not return on the day of an exam that was supposed to be cancelled. Therefore, the Ministry of National Education and the PiS government assure that these exams will take place. Everyone has the right to protest and express their opinions, but let's not involve children in political conflict. This should not happen, and it cannot happen. This is an absolutely consistent stance of PiS, which is why the exams will take place, and of course, expressing one's will in one form or another is a privilege of democracy – stated Joanna Kopcińska in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- Exams will take place, children cannot participate in protests, especially political ones – the government spokesperson added. 

- Dialogue is ongoing. We are the first government to acknowledge that teachers' salaries are too low. We agree with that. That's why we've started to raise them. The first government in decades. Because of years of neglect and inaction. If our predecessors had started raising teachers' salaries, we would be in a different situation today and would be discussing an increase from a different level. What happened, happened - stated Joanna Kopcińska in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

In your opinion, can a local government, which is indeed the founding body for schools, go against the core curriculum, approved by the Ministry of National Education and consulted primarily with parents, by introducing provisions that are met with such strong opposition? I believe parents and common sense on the city authorities' side will block this, because please listen to the parents' voices. Parents are primarily responsible for upbringing, schools educate and bring up, but local governments cannot conduct certain kinds of experiments on children, because these provisions that parents do not accept should not appear when the opposition, our political competitors, have no program. This is an attempt to redirect, to divert attention from our program, which we are consistently implementing, the changes we are making in Poland, and to shift the conversation towards ideology and worldview – stated Joanna Kopcińska in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

PiS and the PiS government have been supporting Polish citizens, Poles, and Polish families since they took power. They always stand by the family, and these solutions we have adopted are meant to attest to that. These proposals also met with criticism from our political opponents, politicians. They accused us and continue to accuse us of corruption, of handouts. The most important thing in all of this is that these are unreliable people, because I dare to say that during the election campaign they are capable of promising Poles anything, and after the election campaign it will be or could be as our chairman said: not as it is, but worse. Because there is no money and there will be none, and this will not work - stated Beata Mazurek at a press conference.

• First and foremost, children will not be left without care. I want to assure all parents that children will be safe, and exams will take place. I believe this deeply; I am convinced, knowing that teachers are one of the most responsible professional groups. I cannot imagine teachers not being with their students during exams. And I deeply believe this will happen. We will do everything we can to find a solution to this difficult situation through dialogue. We are aware that teachers' salaries are very low. My husband is a teacher, I know perfectly well what hard work it is, I have many other teachers in my family, I have teacher friends. When I was the mayor, I was responsible for shaping educational policy, also within my municipality. I am aware of all the challenges and problems that this group has been carrying on its shoulders for many years. But our appeal and our request to the teachers is this: please give us a chance and a little time now to simply fix these long-standing neglects. We are at the first stage of introducing beneficial changes regarding the salaries of this professional group. These increases have begun. Personally, with Minister Zalewska, in 2017, I announced a multi-stage, multi-step project for teacher salary increases – stated Beata Szydło at a press conference.

However, we are also aware that we cannot do everything at once to the extent that would be expected. So our request to teachers today is this: please give us a chance, let us sit down at the table, let's talk. Perhaps some of the demands you are making today are achievable. The last raise was in 2012, actually from local government funds. - In reference to today's statements by politicians at a press conference in the Sejm, I wish to draw attention to the fact that the Central Anticorruption Bureau has verified the information that appeared in a document belonging to one of its former officers. The verification proceedings have shown that there are no grounds confirming the described events - said the Director of the Sejm Information Centre in an interview with 300POLITYKA, referring to today's press conference of opposition MPs.

- What is more - as the CBA emphasized - the author of the letter also failed to provide evidence confirming the circumstances indicated in the correspondence. At the same time, in light of insinuations and slander appearing - especially on social media - it should be recalled that there is criminal liability for the offense of defamation under Article 212 of the Penal Code - he stressed.

At a press conference following a meeting of the Visegrad Group presidents, Andrzej Duda was asked about the government's stance on his proposal to increase defense spending to 2.5% of GDP. In response, Andrzej Duda - quoted by the Chancellery of the President - pointed out that a law was recently adopted, according to which defense spending is set to increase to 2.5% of GDP by 2030.

- Indeed, I appealed for this to be 2.5% by 2024, but it must be clearly stated that this is conditional on Poland's economic situation being at least as good as it is now. That is, that we will have economic results that are as good, or even excellent, as we are experiencing at this moment - the president explained.

- What we have adopted into law is mandatory, while what I am appealing for is non-mandatory, meaning optional - he emphasized. He added that there has been no clear answer from the government, neither positive nor negative. Consequently, the matter, in his opinion, is open.

- If such possibilities arise, I am convinced that the government will implement spending in such a way as to achieve these higher spending levels (on defense) as quickly as possible, as much as the state's wealth and the budget's capacity allow - PAD stated.

- I am only appealing to remember that in a very good economic situation, we can increase our defense spending levels faster than we anticipated when introducing the new law - Andrzej Duda reiterated.

In an open letter to the President of the Polish Teachers' Union (ZNP), Robert Biedroń, the leader of the Spring party, assured that his group supports the salary demands of education employees. He also criticized the actions of the Morawiecki government. The content of the letter is presented below:

Dear Mr. President,

On behalf of Spring, we wish to express, through you, our solidarity with the female and male employees of Polish education who are demanding decent remuneration for their difficult and responsible work.

Spring supports the salary demands articulated by the Polish Teachers' Union because – as we clearly stated at our party's founding convention – the teaching profession must regain its prestige and cease to be perpetual volunteer work.

We consider increasing the salaries of female and male teachers as an investment in the development of Polish education and a good future for young generations.

Responsible authorities, aware of the challenges of the 21st century, should treat education as a priority of their policy. A responsible government should conduct a substantive social dialogue.

We note with regret that Mateusz Morawiecki's government is failing the responsibility exam for the future of our children and the successful development of our country.

We wish to assure you of Spring's support for your demands and declare our readiness to cooperate in efforts towards necessary changes in Polish education.

Spring Plenipotentiary for Social Partner Cooperation

An extra session of the Sejm, initiated at the Prime Minister's request to implement the so-called "Kaczyński's Five" legislative package, will most likely take place on April 3-4, according to information obtained by 300POLITYKA. Additionally, the "normal" session scheduled for April 10-12 will be shortened to two days, April 11-12, but will be continued on April 25. The changes to the schedule are expected to be approved tomorrow morning.

A motion to supplement the agenda with the consideration of a draft amendment to the law on limiting Sunday trading was to be voted on Friday morning. However, this proposal is not included in the new schedule – only a proposal from Nowoczesna is listed.

As we wrote on 300POLITYCE, the motion was submitted by the PiS club – this information was indicated next to the item. It ultimately turned out that it concerned a draft submitted by the ruling party at the end of last year (which, incidentally, was frozen).

However, the new version of the schedule indicates that the PiS draft concerning the filling of European Parliament mandates in the event of Brexit will be passed this week – the second reading is scheduled for Thursday at 6:30 PM, and the first reading for Friday morning.

- Yes, there is a decision. Today I signed a letter that will be sent to the President tomorrow. In this letter, I nominate Judge Grzegorz Jędrejek as the candidate for the President of the Constitutional Tribunal in the National Electoral Commission - stated Julia Przyłębska in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News, when asked about Wojciech Hermeliński's successor in the National Electoral Commission.

- The judge is an extremely active, extremely dynamic person. Furthermore, I will not hide that I asked various judges if they saw themselves in the National Electoral Commission, and he expressed his readiness, as it entails additional duties. Unfortunately, some said: unfortunately, I cannot accept, because I have so many commitments related to, for example, university work or I am in the process of preparing some scientific dissertation and therefore I cannot cope with such a duty. However, Judge Jędrejek agreed, which I am very happy about, because I consider him an excellent candidate - added the President of the Constitutional Tribunal.

- After three governments in education, the education reform, the ruined part of junior high school closed, two age cohorts being squeezed into schools this year, a teachers' strike, and a lack of pay raises, this is all the 'achievements' of Anna Zalewska, who has a different plan for herself. She packed her bag and wants to go to Brussels - said Sławomir Neumann in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" on Polsat News.

- I believe he (Jarosław Kaczyński - ed.) went one step too far. When we talk about signing documents or wanting to work with children in schools, discussing how they should react to inappropriate touching, how to protect themselves from pedophilia, how to react to such behavior. The fact that Kaczyński associates everything with sex or masturbation is not my fault. That's his problem, not ours. If we talk about equality, about tolerance, about the need to care for people who have a different skin color, a different faith, a different sexual orientation, and these people need not so much support and some extraordinary privileges, because there are none, but protection so that they are safe - said Sławomir Neumann in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" on Polsat News.

- As of this moment, nothing has changed. A date has been set [for the KRS case] to announce the ruling. To be clear, this is not a secret session. Asked about the Ombudsman's opinion that the ruling might be invalid: - Allow me to respond with a ruling on Thursday. This is because the Constitutional Tribunal, a judge of the Constitutional Tribunal, and equally its president, speak through rulings. A ruling will be issued on Thursday. A television studio is not a place where the President of the Constitutional Tribunal, the presiding judge, will engage in debate. I will not respond because even every word I say will be used in the context of a previous ruling.

“Behind this campaign [against the LGBT community] is the fear of losing the European Parliament elections, and the lingering 'two towers' scandal that has been dogging Jarosław Kaczyński. „Jarosław Kaczyński, even when he says fundamentally absurd things, says them with fire in his eyes. I was really waiting for the entire European Coalition to symbolically stand as a wall behind Rafał Trzaskowski and say: 'Yes, let's be proud of this. Warsaw is the first city.' No harm will come to you because it's solely about equality and education. Meanwhile, from Civic Platform, individual but significant members, voices of certain doubts emerged regarding this declaration, regarding the WHO, as if suddenly members of Civic Platform, individuals like Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, believed that the WHO is an organization of deviants. „We are dealing with such a clear social evil, and there is no courage to say that it is evil, that it is not allowed to do so. What the Mayor of Warsaw has done is the norm of the modern world. Nothing bad will come of it” - said Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz in an interview with Justyna Pochanke on „Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24.

- He signed a declaration of intent containing such ominous announcements as protection against intolerance, or following WHO recommendations and suggestions while respecting local specifics and sensitivities. On the other hand, we are dealing with a man who cynically scares his disoriented supporters to trap them in his political net. We must support the man who did a decent thing, and tell the other one that he is a liar - said Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz when asked by Monika Olejnik if he was furious with Rafał Trzaskowski.

- By signing the Technical Modernization Plan, I created the financial and legal basis for this transaction [the purchase of new fighter jets] to be carried out, and we have already begun negotiations regarding the purchase of these aircraft, these fighter jets - said Mariusz Błaszczak in an interview with Edyta Lewandowska on the program "Gość Wiadomości" on TVP Info.

- As long as we have a high percentage of gullible people in society who are unable to independently assess this scaremongering, this is how it will be. Those who vote for it are the implementers, and this is a regrettable matter for our society - said Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz on Kropka nad I.

- The takeover of the judiciary not only served to repress or torment opponents, but above all to protect themselves.
