- The money is there, you just need to look for it. The PiS government proves this to us. The same was accused of PiS, and today the Law and Justice party is transferring these funds for its promises in a chaotic, strange way, but it finds the money, so you can't keep telling people it's impossible - said Robert Biedroń in an interview with Karolina Lewicka on "Poranek TOK FM".

"PiS has taught us to wait until the very end and look at the fine print. It's hard to support something blindly. If it's 500+ for every child, we've been saying for two years that the most important decision for a family is about the first child and that this decision is worth supporting, so we will likely vote 'for'. However, what PiS will put forward in the end, what the catches will be, it's hard for me to say" – said Tomasz Siemoniak, Vice-Chairman of Civic Platform (PO), in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

"What PiS is proposing is not a thirteenth pension, but a one-off bonus two weeks before the elections" – he added. 

“You always deflect the question, I am asking you Mr. Chairman,” Karolina Lewicka said on TOK FM’s “Morning Show”. - “You’re cornering me like a schoolboy and asking if I will thank [someone]”, Robert Biedroń replied. - “Yes, because you say it is for you. No, not that you will thank [someone]. Will you support [LGBT+ in Warsaw - editorial note].” - “Will politicians support marital equality?” - “You’re getting nervous, Mr. Chairman…” - “No, this is not fair.” - “…Which means you feel some remorse. I am asking you why…” - “You’re getting nervous, and I have the impression that you feel that every politician who doesn’t agree with your views, meaning supporting the European Coalition, shouldn’t speak at all.” - “That is an argumentum ad personam.” - “No, you are making that argument.” - “You are suggesting what my political views are, and I am asking you why you didn’t support a person who implements your values.” - “And why doesn’t the European Coalition support me when I talk about equality between women and men? “Today, what happened to those three MiGs must be explained. We have an aviation accident investigation commission, and there isn’t even a report for the first MiG accident in 2017. That is why Minister Błaszczak is nervous, because three MiGs were lost during the PiS government’s tenure, commissions were unable to determine the causes, and hence this rush forward” – said the Vice-Chairman of Civic Platform, Tomasz Siemoniak, on ‘Rozmowa Piaseckiego’ on TVN24 – “Błaszczak has no idea about the military.”

“The responsibility for what has been happening in the military for the last 3 years lies with PiS, and ministers Macierewicz and Błaszczak. Explain this catastrophe not for the satisfaction of the opposition, but for the pilots and for the military” – he added.

- Today we want to register an electoral committee with the National Electoral Commission. We have reached an agreement, this coalition also relies on trust. It has been built for a long time from five entities, plus supporting environments, so it's quite a large puzzle - said Sławomir Neumann in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM's "Morning Interview".

- We don't hide it, it's a problem for our partners. Not just our partners. Some people within our own ranks have different opinions too. We will discuss this with Ryszard Petru and Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus. It's a topic for discussion and it won't be resolved quickly or easily, I believe - said Sławomir Neumann in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM's "Morning Interview".

- Undoubtedly, he is a person with considerable experience, as he was Prime Minister. However, today Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz also carries a certain baggage of unresolved private issues. I do not think that his candidacy makes sense, or would be effective, without resolving these problems. If a person who was Prime Minister is to run, they must have at least minimal chances to fight for a mandate - said Sławomir Neumann in a conversation with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM's "Morning Interview".

"The only bond that EU politicians talk about is removing us from power. It seems to me that this is definitely too little. If you are running for the European Parliament or for power in Poland, you need to present a coherent program" - said Deputy Marshal Adam Bielan in "Political Quarter of an Hour" on TVP1.

"PO has been outbidding Robert Biedroń on leftist demands for several months now. We see what Mr. President Trzaskowski is doing in Warsaw. All this turmoil is related to the introduction of sex education for the youngest children, even those of preschool age. This is a truly leftist turn, and the PSL, by joining this coalition, is endorsing such a policy, signing up for it," said Deputy Marshal Adam Bielan in the program 'Political Quarter of an Hour' on TVP1.

„I think the [government] reshuffle will happen after the European Parliament elections. It is natural for ministers to participate in an election campaign. We need to wait for the electoral verdict. I believe that around May and June, the Prime Minister will make decisions on who will replace those ministers who are elected to Brussels” - said Deputy Speaker Adam Bielan in „Polityczny Kwadrans” on TVP1.

Fundamental changes have occurred in the past year, both within the Polish armed forces and in our country's international environment. These changes have had a direct impact on our security situation and required us to face emerging challenges. This was a year of catching up by the Polish Army on serious, years-long deficiencies that we inherited from our predecessors. We have taken six steps towards a more modern and effective Polish Armed Forces. It was a demanding and challenging path, but I can state with full certainty that we have achieved all the goals we set for ourselves. We ensured funding at the level of 2% of GDP. In 2018, at my request, we secured an additional PLN 1.6 billion from the budget for modernization. Last week, I signed the technical modernization plan with the highest projected expenditure in history. We will allocate approximately PLN 185 billion for modernization. With these funds, we will purchase, among other things, 32 modern, fifth-generation multi-role fighter jets – stated Mariusz Błaszczak during the management briefing of the Ministry of National Defence and the Polish Armed Forces leadership.

- Our predecessors kept post-Soviet machines alive for many years, pretending there was no problem. I do not sweep things under the rug. I spoke about the necessity of changing post-Soviet equipment as early as August last year during the 100th anniversary of Polish aviation in Dęblin. I am determined, I will implement the HARPIA program and sign an agreement for the purchase of new fighter jets - stated Mariusz Błaszczak during a briefing of the leadership of the Ministry of National Defence and the Polish Armed Forces.

- Our predecessors stopped in the times when Poland was behind the Iron Curtain, failing to notice that the threat for nearly 30 years has been from the eastern, not the western border. I will ensure that an appropriate number of soldiers also defend areas east of the Vistula River - he added.

- We want to very clearly declare that the board will return to the Sejm, as we announced. Today, we are showing you an electronic board. A board in the form of an animation, which will also be sent to all members of Civic Platform and will also be placed on our websites. So that everyone can see what the network of connections looks like between PiS politicians and people associated with the Srebrna company - said Cezary Tomczyk during a press conference in the Sejm.

- Last year I was demanding towards you, and I will remain so this year. I will expect primarily an acceleration of armament and equipment purchases that will go to the Polish Armed Forces. We must also maintain the stability of financing for tasks carried out within the framework of the technical modernization of the army - stated Mariusz Błaszczak during a leadership briefing of the Ministry of National Defence and the Polish Armed Forces. As he emphasized, in 2018 we took 6 steps towards a more effective and modern Polish Armed Forces: appropriate financing, an effective command system, increased troop numbers, modernization of the Polish Armed Forces, cybersecurity, and allied cooperation.

Morawiecki (PMM): I spoke on the phone with Prime Minister May. Once again, she received assurances from me that Poland will support any solution beneficial to the EU and the UK. A no-deal Brexit is the worst possible solution, also for the EU.

"Kukiz'15 is the third political force in Poland, in the Polish parliament. We strive to honestly and diligently work for the mandates that citizens have entrusted to us. We perceive this role not only in terms of Poland's security, but also that of the entire Eastern flank and the Baltic Sea basin, and consequently, of all of Europe - stated President Andrzej Duda during a briefing with the management staff of the Ministry of National Defence and the Polish Armed Forces.

Bearing in mind the needs for the development and modernization of the Armed Forces, I intend to continue advocating for gradual increases in defense spending. At my request, the government has prepared a draft law increasing the defense budget to 2.5% of GDP by 2030. Considering the assumptions of the current technical modernization plan and the needs of the Armed Forces, I maintain my postulate to reach this level as early as 2024. I hope this will be possible – stated President Andrzej Duda during a briefing for the management staff of the Ministry of National Defence and the Polish Armed Forces.

'We will have parity [on Wiosna's lists]' - stated Robert Biedroń in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet. He added:

'These are personnel matters. I don't want to talk about personnel. Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus has the qualifications to sit in both the Polish Sejm and the EP. She knows languages, she is very hardworking, she is not afraid of Europe.'

- 'We are in discussions. It is highly probable that [Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus] will be one of the leaders on our lists for the EP, because it is precisely this format and quality that will change Polish politics' - emphasized the leader of Wiosna.

- It is very important that all these actions we take at the European Union level, that we are involved in at the European Union level, are complementary to the North Atlantic Alliance. The point is that it is absolutely not in our interest for some European competition to NATO to emerge. Absolutely not. Quite the contrary. We would like, just as the actions of the Bucharest Nine strengthen NATO by having Central and Eastern European states speak with one voice, so too would we like, because the absolute majority of EU member states are NATO members, to do everything within the EU framework regarding military security, simultaneously within the NATO framework - said President Andrzej Duda during a break from the briefing of the management cadre of the Ministry of National Defence and the Polish Armed Forces.

- We should start working on a national security strategy. Last year, I asked the National Security Bureau to prepare recommendations for a new national security strategy. I hope that the results of this work, which were sent to the Ministry of National Defence (MON), will be something we can jointly process with the MON into concrete solutions; I am thinking of legislative projects. I hope we will be able to prepare such a strategy by the end of the year - said President Andrzej Duda during a break at the operational meeting of the leadership of the Ministry of National Defence and the Polish Armed Forces.

- I took [the plaque with 'Kaczyński's Deal'] to a side corridor on Sejm grounds. There's a question of whether MPs are allowed toBaselessly accuse other MPs, and since they have immunity - no one else could do it - one has to defend oneself, simply by oneself. - They have immunity, they think they can do anything - so I also used the protection of immunity and took their plaque away. And so be it. I will not allow anyone to slander me baselessly - he continued.

"Earlier, there was a convention of seniors and the Marshal asked them to remove it, and they said: let's wait, give us time. A representative of Civic Platform told me: in a few more months, your insolence will end. I asked: what is it about? Meaning, what, you'll lock us up in prison, or you'll throw us out the window, like during that coup, when they said we would jump out of windows. Besides, at that time, one of the MPs attacked me in the corridor, knocked me down onto the floor, and I filed a report with the prosecutor's office, and 2.5 years have passed with no reaction."

- Pensions are a special group for us. From the very beginning, we have been creating various solutions and programs to alleviate the sometimes difficult lot, the very often difficult fate of pensioners. That is why we have prepared, in line with our promises, the restoration of the retirement age for those who no longer wish to work, who physically cannot cope with longer work, and we have given them the right to choose. This is a promise that has been kept. I am also particularly pleased that, compared to 2015, according to broad CBOS surveys, there is now the largest percentage of pensioners who are relatively satisfied with their lives. This is a very important measure for us, a litmus test, and this is what we want to be guided by. This is 74%, but we also want to be guided by the remaining 26%, those who are still in need. They still have many needs, and this is also what "Emerytura plus" will serve - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a briefing at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. He added:

"The opposition criticizes us for these ideas, calling it handouts. For me, it is a fight for a dignified life for pensioners. This is not handouts at all. This is money that we have effectively obtained by fighting VAT mafias and tax criminals, and we are transferring it to society. To the young through PIT reduction, 500+ for children for families, and also "Emerytura plus" for pensioners."

- Some also say it's a gift. I don't like that phrasing. It is, in essence, primarily an expression of respect and gratitude for pensioners who have worked very hard all their lives for their modest pensions today, after the PRL and the Third Polish Republic. Everything needs to be fixed, and this is also the first clear proof, which did not exist before. In the years of Civic Platform and PSL, there was no such proof, no such thirteenth pension, no "Emerytura plus" - emphasized PMM.

- We can say, to sum up, that this is also how we differ from the opposition: it seeks dictatorship in Poland, while we support pensions - the prime minister concluded.

- Today is Thursday, we are ready. The "Emerytura plus" (Pension Plus) project will be sent for inter-ministerial and social consultations, to social partners, after the press conference today - stated Elżbieta Rafalska during a briefing at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. As the Minister of Family announced, the implementation of the entire program will cost PLN 10.7 billion.

- I recall that in the face of the great tragedy that was the Smolensk catastrophe, the then Sejm authorities did not even allow an exhibition prepared by PiS, concerning precisely the Smolensk catastrophe, which was so important for understanding the truth and respecting the victims. Meanwhile, now the opposition is trying to use these Sejm corridors for purely propaganda purposes. The Sejm is our extremely important place for public debate, for clashing, and not a place for conducting certain strictly propaganda activities, and those below the belt - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a briefing in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

At the upcoming session, on Friday, March 15th, in the morning, a motion to supplement the agenda with an item regarding the consideration of a draft amendment to the law on limiting Sunday trading is scheduled for a vote – according to the preliminary schedule seen by 300POLITYKA.

The motion was submitted by the Law and Justice (PiS) parliamentary club – this information is listed next to this item. It is not specified whether it concerns the draft submitted by the ruling party at the end of last year (which was, incidentally, frozen), as the print number has not been provided, unlike in the case of the Modern (Nowoczesna) draft.

As I announced, Warsaw teachers will receive salary increases funded by the city budget. This is not only about the teachers, but also about the students and their future. We are investing in education, in the people who shape the next generation. These funds will allow for better working conditions and greater motivation for our educators. This is a step towards a stronger, better educated Warsaw.

The draft bill announced today at a press conference at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister has just appeared in the RCL. It has been sent for consultations and public dialogue. The act is to enter into force on May 1, 2019.

The planned date for the government to adopt the draft is the second quarter of this year, so it can be assumed that the government's proposal will be adopted by parliament in April – perhaps at an additional session, which Michał Dworczyk spoke about.

This concerns the introduction of a solution whereby, among the candidates of a committee that has been allocated a mandate corresponding to the 52nd electoral quotient, the candidate whom the legislator considers least legitimate to take the mandate is the one who obtained the fewest votes - according to the description on the Sejm's website. The representative of the initiators is PiS MP Anna Milczanowska.

"Minister Zalewska is chasing illusions and thinks that if she says 'Abracadabra,' the problem will be solved. She said the same about the double cohort not being an issue, about there not being double shifts in primary schools, about bilingual classes not being a problem. Her regulation concerning individual student education was also supposed to be a non-issue. The Minister always insists there will be no problems, and then problems arise afterwards" – said the leader of Nowoczesna, Katarzyna Lubnauer, in a conversation with Karolina Lewicka on TOK FM, referring to the planned teacher strike.

„Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus is a person who could easily find herself on the European Coalition's lists, but since this is an agreement of 5 groups, the principle is very clear that all groups must express consent for the presence of another group on the electoral lists, and it must be a unanimous decision” - said the leader of Nowoczesna, Katarzyna Lubnauer, in an interview with Karolina Lewicka on TOK FM’s “Political Interview” - „There would certainly be no blockade from Nowoczesna”. 

- We discussed making NATO forces mobile. We are also talking about this in relation to our armed forces in Poland. Today, we also had a management briefing of the Ministry of National Defence and the armed forces. “Teachers' salaries are insufficient. I can promise that as long as we are in power, we want to increase teachers' salaries year after year. A teacher's salary must be dignified. I would like the total gross salary of a certified teacher to be PLN 6,000 next year, with all allowances” - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in an interview with Anita Werner in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24.

- Morawiecki is elegant, but the author of countless lies. He says our opponents think ideologically and morally want to imitate the West in its depravity, while we are calm. These insults and twisted faces are not us. We want Poles to enjoy their standard of living. Morawiecki knows languages and understands the concept of fake news, that with the current power of social media, one can say whatever they want, and supporters will believe it anyway - said Aleksander Smolar on TVN24.

„All such matters should be investigated down to the smallest detail. I think this case will also be clarified very quickly. Baseless suspicions can be easily cast upon anyone. Someone can be slandered, usually to leave some dirt on their suit. In this case, I hope that Minister [Andruszkiewicz] will be cleared of these suspicions very quickly” – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in an interview with Anita Werner on „Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24.

„I believe in [Andruszkiewicz's] innocence. I haven't spoken to him recently, but I believe in his innocence. I wasn't aware of these types of matters [when appointing Andruszkiewicz to the government]” – he added.

- PiS may face disappointment. There was reportedly surprise and unpreparedness in the Ministry of Finance regarding such a level of redistribution. After all, this wasn't prepared by professionals. Where are the things he talked about when he arrived, modernization, a million electric cars? I don't know his qualifications as a leader, but as a storyteller, they are excellent – added Aleksander Smolar on Kropka nad I.

Our government is the only government that has introduced pay rises for teachers. We must remember the many, many years when teachers received no pay rises. However, these increases are now happening in real terms. As far as I recall, these pay rises will currently range depending on years of service. Teacher salaries are complex, and local governments also play a significant role here. For example, local governments determine various types of bonuses, so this pay rise will currently range between PLN 380 and PLN 508. Of course, we would like teachers to earn more. As I said, various proposals to ensure this profession has the appropriate reputation and standing will continue to be undertaken. However, we cannot do everything at once – said Beata Szydło in an interview with Dorota Gawryluk on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" on Polsat News.

“Everyone is now surprised, and perhaps this is astonishment from circles that are against us or very deeply against us, by how honest President Jarosław Kaczyński is and how difficult it is to find fault. When I look at the whole matter, more and more suspicions are directed at Mr. Birgfellner” – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in an interview with Anita Werner on “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24.

- It is being destroyed every day. In that deepest sense, what lawyers say about destroying an institution like the Constitutional Tribunal is important. But the underlying soil is more important than the norms; they are destroying the possibility of dialogue, mutual trust. They are destroying that. Today, they put on a show, acting as if they are the most agreeable people in the world - said Aleksander Smolar in Monika Olejnik's program.

„In Poland, economic evolution during the Third Republic has led to non-Polish shops and large shopping malls de facto dominating. Sylwia Spurek, head of Wiosna's social policy advisors, is launching her program tour across Poland. As we hear, on Friday in Wrocław, she will present a package of laws concerning women's rights, the so-called Women's Constitution.

The Women's Constitution encompasses 10 postulates, within which Spurek's team will prepare several dozen laws that will be submitted by Wiosna in the first weeks of the new Sejm term. Next week, Spurek will visit the Silesian and Opole voivodeships.
