The main commemorations for the National Day of Remembrance of the Cursed Soldiers are scheduled for today. At 7:00 AM, Minister Mariusz Błaszczak will lay wreaths at the Pantheon - Mausoleum of the Cursed and Unbroken Soldiers, and at 4:00 PM, ceremonies will be held at the Museum of the Cursed Soldiers. At 11:00 AM, President Andrzej Duda will present state decorations, and at 6:00 PM, he will participate in the Roll Call of Remembrance on Piłsudski Square.

At 10:40 AM, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will lay flowers before the Monument to the Victims of Communist Terror, and at 10:45 AM - before the plaque commemorating the visit of the late President Lech Kaczyński to Ostrołęka. This afternoon, as we reported on 300POLITYKA, the Political Committee of the Law and Justice (PiS) party will convene. The primary topic of discussion for the ruling party's leadership is expected to be the European Parliament election lists. Our sources do not rule out the possibility that the lists may be adopted today. The Committee has already met regarding the lists; at that time, the first and second positions in individual constituencies were presented.

- Today we have a political committee. This political committee will actually be related to organizational matters. We will appoint a financial spokesperson connected with the elections, we will appoint a campaign staff, and we will also finalize the lists - said Beata Mazurek in a conversation with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały Dnia" on Polish Radio Channel One.

- We have discussed all the lists, but I also haven't hidden the fact that we have more candidates than available spots and we still needed some time to conduct final talks with some individuals. Today, we will likely find out the outcome of these discussions - added Mazurek.

- For now, no [I am not joining any party]. They [PSL] have now veered towards LGBT. I won't find myself there - stated Patryk Jaki in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM. - I don't know 100% [from which constituency I will run for the EP], but much indicates that it will be Lesser Poland and Świętokrzyskie - added the Deputy Minister of Justice.

- Constituencies for the EP are almost like national elections, the constituencies are wide, Lesser Poland and Świętokrzyskie. Apparently, the party has decided that I will help win a fourth seat there, because there is a very good chance for it and they want to strengthen the list there - he argued.

[I mean] all those during whose tenure unimaginable things happened, during whose tenure the President of the Republic of Poland died, and who today are healers, have hundreds of ideas on how to heal the SOP" - said the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, Minister Joachim Brudziński, in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet. 

„What is this really about? Who is trying to destabilize the state? [The Head of SOP] resigned, and I accepted his resignation. Let's keep quiet about this topic. Let the officers work in peace. What has been happening for the past few days, involving former, compromised BOR commanders, is a scandal. An attempt is being made to destabilize a strategic service that protects the most important people in the state and does so exceptionally well” - said Minister Joachim Brudziński in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet. 

- The European Parliament, in my opinion, unfortunately passes many absurd laws. I don't know if the editor is aware, but it hasn't been tallied for this term, yet in the previous term, the European Parliament spoke out on LGBT issues almost 250 times. Gigantic resources are being invested in something that I fundamentally disagree with and want to fight against - stated Patryk Jaki in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

- Some salaries at the National Bank of Poland (NBP) for individuals who earn as much as they do in public administration may raise, to put it euphemistically, doubts - stated Patryk Jaki in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

- I would really like to, but I cannot defend it. This is because I am honest with you and the listeners, but I know that if I manage to get into the European Parliament, I know that I will be able to defend Polish interests - added the Deputy Minister of Justice.

„After consultation and a conversation with the Prime Minister, if the situation in the state and the ministry allows, I will ask to use my accumulated vacation days to take advantage of them during the final, intensive days of the campaign” – Minister Joachim Brudziński said in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet. 

“PiS has survived so many ‘dolphins’ and so many ‘number twos’ that I am truly very pleased. If I wanted to enrich my family, I wouldn't be a Member of Parliament; I would have gone to the management of a large State Treasury company. I feel like a politician, a person absolutely loyal to my leader. The Political Committee made such a decision,” said Minister Joachim Brudziński in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet. 

- Up to now, today I don't see a list I could identify with or run on with conviction, and I told Paweł Kukiz that. Of course, I will support all actions of the Right of the Republic, but these attempts to build, first, a broad Catholic camp, and then a Catholic current within such a broader republican camp, have not succeeded. Today, unfortunately, I only see particularistic projects. I could not identify with any of these lists to the extent of giving them active support and representing them - Marek Jurek said in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus's "Sedno sprawy" (The Core of the Matter).

- I tried to create a broader agreement that could play a positive role, including in the upcoming parliamentary elections, and build a majority. This has not succeeded so far, so in these elections I don't see my place on any of the lists being formed - Jurek added.

This marks the first interview on this radio station with the PiS president in two years; the ruling party leader was last a guest of Marcin Zaborski in March 2017. The end of World War II did not bring Poles the longed-for freedom. German occupation was replaced by Soviet occupation. Soldiers of free Poland resisted it with arms in hand. Łupaszka, Zapora, Lalek, Ogień, Klamra - these are the pseudonyms of some of them, which have become legendary. But behind these pseudonyms were people of flesh and blood, heroes of Polish freedom, who proved with their lives that Poles never give up. That freedom is the highest value for them. Although they made the ultimate sacrifice, they were not defeated, because they bore witness to unwavering resolve. This testament to unwavering resolve and loyalty is the foundation upon which an independent Poland can and should be built today and in the future. That is why, on the National Day of Remembrance of the Cursed Soldiers, we commemorate these Polish heroes who first fought against Nazi evil and then fought against communist evil. Who valued independence above life. Łukasz Ciepliński, pseudonym "Pług" (Plough), commander of the Home Army, did not surrender, knowing that it was his duty to fight for Poland regardless of the cost. And he had to pay the ultimate price. He was murdered in the Mokotów prison with a shot to the back of the head, like many other patriots. The communists wanted him to be swallowed by oblivion. But his smuggled letters from prison to his wife and son survived. This is the testament of a new Poland, the testament of a free Republic. "Pług" asks in them, "will unfulfilled dreams rise from the grave"? He asks: "will our sacrifices not be in vain"? Every Pole must carry these questions in their heart and prove every day that the dream of a great Poland is coming true, that heroic sacrifice was not in vain. Without the Cursed Soldiers, there would have been no social resistance that took place in the subsequent years of the Polish People's Republic. There would have been no great Solidarity movement, thanks to which we have a free and independent Poland. The Republic must be worthy of its sons. Poles must be worthy of their ancestors. May this day always remind us how much we owe Poland. May it remind us how much more we can do for Poland," says Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in a spot published by the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

- Another installment of the Peasants' Social Package, a package that is a response to the most important social problems in our country. This week we spoke about teachers and raises so that schools can function better, so that local governments can maintain them, and children can have good care, education, and upbringing. We spoke about healthcare and the allocation of 6% of GDP next year, not in a few years, increasing access to doctors, shortening queues, and better salaries for nurses, midwives, paramedics, and physiotherapists. Yesterday, we discussed the need to support people with disabilities, proposing 500 PLN for rehabilitation for disabled individuals. Today, the final element of the package, in which we address public sector employees, inspectors, social workers, and various professional groups working for the state and citizens, who earn scandalously little - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a briefing.

- Salaries in the public sector must be increased to improve the quality of services, to ensure better social safety and nutrition in various areas. We are proposing a 12% increase, which will cost approximately 8 billion PLN - added the PSL chairman.

During a special press conference, Rafał Trzaskowski outlined the municipal programs implemented over the past 100 days:

- We have allocated eight times the budget for this purpose (fighting smog - ed.), primarily to eliminate the so-called "city smog emitters." Air quality has radically improved during these winter months. We have purchased equipment, including drones for the city guard.

- We have completed the Green Wall project along Wawelska Street, right at the beginning of our term. The changes will encompass a vast majority of districts and 42 streets are nearing completion.

- Warsaw Air Quality Index. We want everyone to have information about the air quality in Warsaw. We are currently announcing a tender for the purchase of three reference measurement stations.

- Warsaw for the Youngest. Primarily, free nurseries. We have prepared a comprehensive plan and are already beginning its implementation. All municipal nurseries will be free from September.

- Flu vaccinations for children, more funding for in vitro fertilization. The funding has increased by 90%, and we have allocated PLN 10 million for this purpose.

- Primarily, metro and tram lines. We have accelerated and carried out specific work. It will be possible to take the metro to Targówek this year.

- Warsaw for Seniors. Primarily, assistants for seniors and more free travel for Warsaw Uprising veterans. We are introducing the 70 and 80-year-old health check-up. The first senior screenings will begin this year.

- Warsaw for Health. We have managed to introduce better dental care for children.

- Warsaw for Women. Free vaccinations against the HPV virus. Flu vaccinations for pregnant women and gynecological care without the conscience clause.

- Warsaw for Culture. Yesterday, we successfully signed the agreement for the construction of the Museum of Modern Art at Defilad Square.

- Warsaw for Safety. Primarily, we have subsidized additional police patrols.

- We are building new municipal apartments. Investments already started amount to 1200 apartments.

- We are renovating old tenement houses and vacant properties. We have allocated PLN 150 million for this purpose.

- I have signed the LGBT+ declaration. This is a clear signal that Warsaw will be an open, tolerant city. Despite the outcry and misrepresentations, we will ensure that no one in Warsaw is discriminated against.

- 'Warsaw for Everyone' is the slogan that guided us during the election campaign, throughout these past 100 days, and it will continue to guide us. I count on the cooperation of Civic Coalition councillors – concluded the Mayor of Warsaw.

- This new 'Five' from PiS, which was presented last Saturday, is another commitment made to Poles. Just like Morawiecki's 'Five', presented 300 days earlier and fulfilled, this one too will be implemented 100% on every point. This will be easy to verify because, unlike our political competitors, we do not promise that if we win the election, we will do something or not do something. We say: in the coming months, we will introduce new program proposals, for which you, the citizens, will be able to hold us accountable later. We do not make empty promises, we keep our word, and this will be another example of such action - stated Michał Dworczyk at a briefing at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. He added:

"The question often arises about the costs of these programs. It must be clearly stated: PLN 800 million annually will be the cost of rebuilding local bus connections. Regarding the exemption from PIT tax for individuals up to 26 years of age, this will amount to PLN 2 to 3 billion. Higher revenue-generating costs and lower PIT mean taxpayers will pay approximately PLN 7 to 10 billion less to the budget, meaning the budget revenue will be lower by that amount. 'Emerytura plus', or the so-called thirteenth pension - PLN 9 to 10 billion annually, and the last issue, the supplement, the completion of the 500+ program, meaning 500+ for every child, is about PLN 18.5 billion annually."

- We will keep you informed about the timing of the laws, because each of these programs requires legislative amendments. We do not rule out that we will request additional Sejm sessions, because to meet the established schedule and to have these benefits launched in May, July, and then in September, we really need to conduct the legislative process efficiently - stated Michał Dworczyk at a briefing at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM). 

- If you ask whether this benefit, the 'Emerytura plus' pension, will only be paid this year - we can only speak for the parliamentary majority created by PiS, and we are determined that if the voters entrust us with the responsibility of forming a new government this autumn, and if PiS has a majority in the next term, then we will want this special pension benefit, here named 'Emerytura plus', to be paid in subsequent years - stated Michał Dworczyk at a briefing at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM).

The European Parliament elections are not about whether Kaczyński gives more to one social group or another social group. They are elections that will decide whether Poland stays in the EU or not - stated Ewa Kopacz in an interview with Marek Kacprzak on the WP program "Tłit".

“For several days now, there has been a heated discussion about the credibility of promises made by politicians, about the credibility of what PiS politicians say. Especially regarding the credibility of the PiS leader's promises, it is worth asking Mr. Birgfellner.
