- I said that there is a clear conflict within the Supreme Court. Because it's not like all judges. There is a group of judges who behave in an undignified manner. Let's call it that. That's what the President was talking about - stated Andrzej Dera in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

- The government is responsible for the budget. It has always been, is, and will be the case that the government is responsible. The government plans expenditures, and this is something that the total opposition cannot understand, because they have defined their manifesto that there is no money and will be no money for various things, and then it turns out that through good management, money from the budget can be allocated not at the expense of increasing the budget deficit, as the Civic Platform did, but by saving, by sealing things up in general. It turns out that through honest state functioning, revenues increase and these revenues can be allocated to social goals, and the PiS government is doing this - stated Andrzej Dera in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego". - This is not a draining of the budget. It is a redistribution of funds - emphasized the presidential minister.

I haven't heard [about the PAD-PiS agreement on the Swiss franc loan bill and compensation for public media]. I don't know because at this moment... The President has constitutional time now. I won't tell the media what the president should do [regarding compensation for public media] because that is the president's competence - stated Andrzej Dera in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego". "You said clearly that if there are funds for social programs, the president will sign it. I replied that he will sign it, because there are funds. [Injecting money into TVP] is necessary due to exemptions – I say this as a lawyer – from paying the license fee, and the principle until now was that these expenditures, which involve exempting a part of society from paying the license fee, are then compensated."

- All actions in politics should be understandable to voters, because that is ultimately the goal of politicians, to achieve their objectives by being elected. Therefore, if we want any actions to be accepted by voters, we must finally make them understand. And it would not have been understandable if Ryszard Petru, who, I will remind you, left Nowoczesna of his own volition, incidentally criticizing it quite harshly, to put it mildly, causing us considerable damage, were now to suddenly form a federal club. Unfortunately, no one has done more to weaken this liberal milieu than Ryszard Petru - stated Katarzyna Lubnauer in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM. - I do not think this is a good idea [a federal club]. - However, it is also a fact that we are currently in a time of creating a bloc like the European Coalition, and I believe it will be completely natural if Ryszard Petru's 'Now' is also part of the European Coalition - stated Katarzyna Lubnauer in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

- We were quite clear. We were against [the 500+ program] at the time it was introduced. Now we believe it has also brought many good effects, and besides, there is such a thing as continuity of the state and acquired rights. Therefore, within the framework of these acquired rights, we signed a declaration in the autumn during the local government campaign that we will not abolish the 500+ program - stated Katarzyna Lubnauer in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

 - Instead of the thirteenth pension, we would prefer a higher tax-free allowance for everyone. This would mean exactly the same improvement in pensioners' situations, but in a systemic and lasting way, not at the whim of a leader who will choose which voter groups they deem electorally necessary or not. I stated this clearly. We oppose this formula; we are in favor of increasing the tax-free allowance – stated Katarzyna Lubnauer in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

- It is already known that there will be no majority in the next Sejm that could raise the retirement age. This is because the largest opposition party, Civic Platform, has unequivocally stated that they will not raise the retirement age, and other solutions will need to be created... This is a very serious topic, linked to the future of finances and the dignity of future pensioners. The truth is that we are living longer and longer, and consequently, we are in retirement for longer periods. Currently, these pensions will fall to even around 20 percent of our last salary. This means we will truly have very meager pensions. Therefore, we must work longer. This can be achieved in two ways: either by mechanically raising the retirement age or by creating other incentives for longer work. Nowoczesna has always been in favor of a higher retirement age and the abolition of pension privileges. However, while simultaneously realizing that there will no longer be a majority to raise the retirement age, we believe that a program must be created, we must act based on reality, which in other ways activates employees towards longer work, incentivizing longer work – stated Katarzyna Lubnauer in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

"One can say that the social programs prepared by Law and Justice have been mocked. We proposed that further social groups should receive increases. We want all Poles to benefit from economic growth," said Deputy Prime Minister Beata Szydło on Radio Jedynka. “What evacuation? Donald Tusk evacuated when he saw his support dropping, yes, that’s how it was. Yesterday at a press conference, one of the journalists asked what would happen with our lists for the Sejm and the Senate, because all the heavy artillery is heading to Brussels, to Strasbourg. "[The so-called Kaczyński's 'fifth'] is covered in the budget. We discussed this yesterday at the Council of Ministers. The Prime Minister will present a roadmap in the near future and, step by step, consistently, as we have done so far, we will implement these projects. Today, I have a specific question for the politicians of the European Coalition, for all those who have mocked these programs, who speak of handouts, who paint a delusory vision of a second Greece before the voters. I ask for specific answers from the politicians of the Democratic Left Alliance (SLD), Civic Platform (Platforma), Polish People's Party (PSL), and Modern (Nowoczesna), all those who march side-by-side in the European Coalition today. Will you support the 500+ program for every child? Will you support the thirteenth pension for disability pensioners and retirees? Will you support zero personal income tax (PIT) for people up to 26 years of age? Have the courage to stand before the Polish people today and answer these three very simple questions. If you ever had the opportunity to govern Poland, would these programs be maintained" - she added.

- I would like, in connection with the questions arising from the media, journalists, and also political commentators regarding the program proposals that PiS presented last Saturday, to say and repeat, because we have already presented this message once, that all the details, the so-called roadmap, which will very precisely show how all program proposals will be implemented, Prime Minister Morawiecki will present within the next 7 days. Subsequently, in further time, we will precisely present all the details and information about each of our five proposals - stated Michał Dworczyk at a briefing in the Sejm.

- Today, the question is much more important, whether the questions already asked by Prime Minister Szydło and MEP Poręba, and I would also like to ask this question as a government representative. We are currently finalizing the laws that will allow the introduction of these five programs, which are important from the perspective of Poles. Today, the most crucial question is for the representatives of the opposition, the leaders of political formations. I would like to ask Mr. Schetyna, Mr. Kosiniak-Kamysz, and Ms. Lubnauer: can we count on you to vote for the law that will allow 500 PLN to be granted for every first child in every Polish family? Will you vote for the amendment to the law, through which the so-called 13th pension will be paid out? Will you vote for the regulations, through which young people up to 26 years of age will be exempt from PIT? Will you support the legislative proposals, through which labor costs will be reduced and we will be able to restore bus connections? This is a moment of truth, this is a question of the "checking" nature. So far, you have spoken very differently on this topic. Some of you have contested these ideas, some have claimed that we took them from your programmatic proposals. Today, we are asking you a question, and I very much ask that the opposition leaders respond to these questions - stated Michał Dworczyk at a briefing in the Sejm.

- We have only just seen the formation of the European Coalition, which comprises five parties and is open to other entities. There will still be time to make decisions regarding the [EP] lists. I won't hide the fact that, as observed in recent months, the center of the fight for the independence of Polish courts is shifting, and I see it moving towards EU institutions. If such a discussion is raised with me, I will certainly not shy away from it - stated Kamila Gasiuk-Pihowicz in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- I don't know what [President Duda] meant, what cases of this aggressive behavior from colleagues who previously sat in the Supreme Court – stated Małgorzata Gersdorf in an interview with TVN24. She added:

"I haven't heard of such cases. No one came to me to complain. But [the President] also said that it concerns high-ranking individuals in the Supreme Court who are also behaving badly. Since I was at that ceremony, I believe it was addressed to me, and I am outraged, because I try to be polite and I try to somehow function with these two chambers, although of course, this has not met with our great applause."

According to the First President of the Supreme Court, the President's words "certainly do not contribute to building bridges".

„Deputy Prime Minister Beata Szydło, a candidate for the European Parliament, posed questions to the European Coalition at a press conference, thus inaugurating the Law and Justice (PiS) election campaign. Interestingly, the face of this campaign is a person who today questions opposition politicians, yet for a year could not explain what she was doing as Deputy Prime Minister and for what she was taking taxpayer money. She could not answer why she did not find time to come to the Sejm and meet with protesting individuals with disabilities. She also could not state what happened to the bonuses she unlawfully awarded to ministers in her government, where those sums went, and why they were not returned to the budget. Beata Szydło was the first prime minister to award herself a bonus she was not entitled to. It is difficult to find a better example of the political formation's embarrassment” - said PO spokesperson, Jan Grabiec, at a press conference in the Sejm.

„The European Parliament elections are something much more serious than evacuating discredited PiS politicians. This is a matter of fundamental importance for Poland, which is why we are formulating questions that PiS will have to answer during this election campaign and from which they will certainly not escape” - he added.

„One could say that the campaign slogan that will appear on PiS billboards is the famous 27:1. This is a symbol of PiS's European policy. It must be stated very clearly that without being in the European Union, any Polish initiative is threatened” - said Cezary Tomczyk from PO. „One fundamental question must be asked: Does Poland want to be in the European Union, or does it want to leave? This is the fundamental question in the European Parliament campaign. These elections are about this. Today, PiS stands at the head of the anti-European bloc, together with nationalists”.

„We are formulating five questions for Jarosław Kaczyński and the PiS government:

1. Are you in favour of Poland leaving the European Union? Do you support Polexit?


2. Will you apologize for calling the EU flag a rag?


3. Will you ensure Poles an EU budget of 400 billion PLN? One that was negotiated by the PO government.


4. Will you promise Poles that you will not cooperate in the EU with anti-European groups supported by Russia, led by Le Pen and Salvini?


5. Will you restore the rule of law in Poland and end the dispute with the European Commission, which could result in Poland's expulsion from the EU?” - Tomczyk asked.

- For five days, the 'Kaczyński's Five' has been the main topic. The ruling party imposed that narrative. And please look at what came before. There were issues related to Srebrna, there were questions concerning Mr. Kujda, matters with Israel. So, at every turn, a difficult situation requiring explanations. Now, once again, the ruling party is setting the tone. PiS has started setting the rules of the game - stated Krzysztof Łapiński on Onet Rano.

„We have concluded our first meeting with President Trzaskowski. It was our initial conversation. It proceeded in a very good atmosphere, we presented our concepts, doubts, and ideas regarding the possibilities of reconstructing and rebuilding the Saxon Palace. A discussion with the participation of experts who presented a catalogue of issues that need to be discussed and resolved. „I confirm that the talks took place in a very good atmosphere. It was important for me to meet with the Marshal and discuss the concepts. There are a lot of questions. We need to sit down and talk about this topic, which is why we agreed to a meeting of experts. The most important thing is whether to rebuild the palace and what functions it would serve. We agreed that certainly, if this were to happen, they would have to be open functions that would serve all Varsovians, Polish women and men. We have decided to entrust the matter to experts” – explained the Mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski.

- One can never rule out such a situation, although I see that at the moment PSL is burning bridges that somehow still existed between us. I once spoke with President Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, and he said it would be good to build and preserve these bridges, but I see that they are being demolished by the PSL. And I don't know if the PSL will be in parliament. It seems to me that if they continue on this path, as a classic once said, they probably won't get into parliament - stated Stanisław Karczewski in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet, when asked if a scenario where the PSL could be a potential coalition partner for PiS would be considered after the parliamentary elections.

- This is certainly an outrageous piece of information for the public. As 300POLITYKA has learned, a meeting of the PiS Political Committee will be held on Friday afternoon. The main topic of the ruling party's leadership gathering is expected to be the lists for the European Parliament. Our sources do not rule out the possibility that the lists could be adopted on that very day. A week ago, Civic Platform (PO) MPs (Tomczyk, Brejza, Witczak, Kierwiński) presented the "Kaczyński's Arrangement" board, illustrating connections between politicians and the "Srebrna" company. The board is located in front of the PO caucus. Today, the Head of the Sejm Chancellery attempted to have the board removed, requesting the Marshal's Guard to do so. However, PO MPs appeared on the scene and did not agree to the removal of the board.
