Lubnauer:

The European Coalition is Not Enough. We Need a Polish Coalition, Meaning a Coalition for the Entire Year 2019

- Everyone learned about the European Coalition practically from the media, apart from the participants. I understand that this is not yet a coalition, but rather an appeal to create one. The European Coalition is not enough. We need a Polish Coalition, meaning a coalition for the entire year 2019, because the most important things will happen in the autumn - said Katarzyna Lubnauer in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on the program "Graffiti" Polsat News.

08:08

Lubnauer:

Spring's proposals are not for working, active people. They will necessitate higher tax burdens because it's unfeasible and doesn't add up.
"These proposals that are being put forward by Spring are not proposals for working, active people who, when running their own businesses, have to pay ZUS [Social Insurance Institution], which is increasingly high. These proposals will bring even greater burdens related, for example, to ZUS. They must bring higher tax burdens because it's unfeasible, it doesn't add up," said Katarzyna Lubnauer in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on Polsat News's program "Graffiti".

Spychalski Asked About President's Meeting with NBP Governor: "I Think So. It's Completely Natural for Him to Want to Meet the President."
- I saw that such information appeared from the NBP Governor that he would seek a meeting with the President. I think so. It is completely natural for the NBP Governor, constitutionally mandated, to want to meet with the President, to discuss various issues. So, I think so - stated Błażej Spychalski in an interview with Marcin Zaborski on RMF FM. The topic would be the amendment to the Act on the NBP, currently being processed in parliament.

08:17

Spychalski on NBP Salaries: President is in Favor of Full Transparency

- The President himself, when asked if he would accept such a solution, replied that yes. That he is in favor of full transparency [regarding earnings] being introduced here, because the NBP is a public institution - stated Błażej Spychalski in an interview with Marcin Zaborski on RMF FM.

08:30

Spychalski on Middle East Summit: PAD's Participation Planned. President to Welcome Participants and Hold Bilateral Meetings, Including with US Vice President and Israeli Prime Minister

- This is an intergovernmental conference [the so-called Middle East summit] organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and of course, the President's participation is planned. We have it here, in Warsaw, in Poland, so the President will certainly welcome the conference participants and, if necessary, will also hold bilateral meetings. Several such meetings are planned. Certainly, there will be a meeting with the US Vice President and the Prime Minister of Israel - stated Błażej Spychalski in an interview with Marcin Zaborski on RMF FM.

Kosiniak-Kamysz on GW Publication: "These Invoices Must Be Paid"

These invoices must be paid. I understand that an agreement was not reached. Preparing documentation, gathering investors – not everything in business has a positive outcome, but the services were rendered and payment is due. I understand it will likely end up in court. We will not resolve this” - said the leader of PSL, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

08:58

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

PiS's Scandals Will Finally Spill the Beans

The number of these scandals will finally spill the beans. There have been very many in recent months, and this electorate, perhaps not the hardcore base, but those in the center who gave them victory in the last election, may say that it was supposed to be so good, with humility and work, but instead there are rewards and bonuses. It was supposed to be crystal clear and honest” – said the leader of the Polish People's Party (PSL), Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

09:02

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

The European Coalition is Just a Spring Plan. It's Not Enough
"The European Coalition is just a spring plan. It's not enough. Spring is very important, but autumn is the most important," said the leader of the PSL, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

09:18

Zybertowicz:

The Kaczyński Brothers Were on a Different Side at the Round Table. They Were on the Side of Independent Poland

"The Kaczyński brothers [at the Round Table] were on a different side. They were on the side of independent Poland" - stated presidential advisor Prof. Andrzej Zybertowicz on TOK FM Radio's Poranek. He was responding to Karolina Lewicka's question about the Round Table deliberations in the context of Andrzej Gwiazda's opinion that communists and their agents sat down together in February 1989.

"With the exception of Lech Wałęsa, who is very deceitful, who allows himself to be reduced to the role of a puppet in a certain political game, I do not condemn other individuals [participants of the Round Table deliberations] by name" - he added.

09:29

Zybertowicz:

Perhaps 'Bolki', opposition activists who secretly collaborated with the political police, are a price worth paying for a bloodless revolution

"Perhaps without 'Bolki', meaning opposition activists who secretly collaborated with the political police, many revolutions would have had a bloodier course. Perhaps 'Bolki' are a price worth paying for a bloodless revolution, but one should not deceive oneself with romantic visions that on one side there were angels and on the other devils" - said Prof. Andrzej Zybertowicz in an interview with Karolina Lewicka on Radio TOK FM's Morning program.

09:34

Zybertowicz on GW Publication: There's a Problem Assessing the Legal Status of This Invoice

Even this morning I read an analysis stating that from a formal point of view, this invoice shown in GW is flawed because it lacks signatures. Perhaps these were documents that did not meet appropriate business standards. There's a problem assessing the legal status of this invoice” – said Professor Andrzej Zybertowicz in an interview with Karolina Lewicka on Radio TOK FM's morning program.

09:52

Miller:

It Would Be Good If the Peasants' Party Also Ran Together with the European Coalition

The leader of the Peasants' Party says that the fundamental difference between the two concepts is that the European Coalition is meant to be a creation built for the EP elections, while his coalition is also for the Sejm and Senate elections. It would be good if the Peasants' Party also ran together with the European Coalition, because it is a party that, like the SLD, has made a significant contribution to Poland's accession to the European Union” – said former Prime Minister Leszek Miller in an interview with Karolina Lewicka on TOK FM Radio's Poranek.

09:56

Miller:

It turns out the invoice existed, but the issuer didn't receive their money. This is inexcusable.

It turns out the invoice existed, but the issuer didn't receive their money. This is inexcusable. I know how this situation is being explained, because Jarosław Kaczyński does not hide from his associates, including the investor, that if all of this comes out before the Warsaw local elections, the situation will worsen, because a political party is not established to, and here Kaczyński is right, build skyscrapers” - said former Prime Minister Leszek Miller in an interview with Karolina Lewicka on Radio TOK FM's Poranek.

10:01

Konwiński:

Today I'm filing a request for a tax audit of Srebrna company, as this contributes to the grey economy and the VAT gap.

- The gap is made up of, among other things, such untaxed, non-VAT transactions in which President Kaczyński and the Srebrna company participate. Today I am filing a request for a tax audit to be conducted at the Srebrna company, because this is what, among other things, constitutes the grey economy and the VAT gap. Were the services that Srebrna company used fiscalized, taxed, or was at least VAT paid. I will submit such a request for a tax audit - said Zbigniew Konwiński in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski in Radio Plus's "The Heart of the Matter".

Lichocka:

Nothing Indicates Kurski's Term Will Be Interrupted

- Public Television will survive and it is very important that public media exist. Jacek Kurski still has a year until the end of his term as CEO of TVP and nothing indicates that this term will be interrupted - stated Joanna Lichocka in an interview with Marek Kacprzak on the WP program "Tłit".

10:40

Lichocka:

The European Solidarity Centre (ECS) Makes No Mention of Lech Wałęsa's Collaboration with the Security Service

- Lech Wałęsa is not an unambiguous figure, as is known from the findings of IPN scientists. He was a long-term collaborator of the Security Service. He is unable to explain this 'Bolek-ness,' as Professor Andrzej Zybertowicz puts it - stated Joanna Lichocka in an interview with Marek Kacprzak on the WP program "Tłit." She added:

"No one denies Lech Wałęsa's historical role and that he was the leader of 'Solidarity,' and that he led 'Solidarity' in a way that is debatable and worthy of discussion. He is not an unambiguous figure, but it must be remembered that he collaborated with the Security Service for many years."

- The problem with the elites of the Third Polish Republic system is lies. Therefore, it has never been possible to have an honest conversation about the role of Lech Wałęsa and other Solidarity elites who made a "pact with the devil" at the Round Table - she continued. - The ECS is an institution that has been seized by one political environment - Civic Platform and individuals associated with PO, who then collaborated with President Adamowicz - added the PiS MP.
"In the ECS, there is nothing about Lech Wałęsa's collaboration with the SB. There isn't much, if anything, about the role of Andrzej Gwiazda and Anna Walentynowicz. There is some kind of fabrication by one party and political environment that does not want to acknowledge in any way that this history needs to be discussed honestly and reliably."

Civic Platform Files for Tax Audit Regarding Srebrna. Konwiński: For two to three years, we've heard how the PiS government, how Prime Minister Morawiecki, fights the VAT gap. We have a classic example of a VAT gap emerging.
- Services, preparatory work performed de facto for Srebrna, as indicated by Jarosław Kaczyński himself, constitute its revenue and, according to regulations, should be taxed with both income tax and VAT. The beneficiary of the preparatory work is Srebrna, as admitted by Jarosław Kaczyński in recordings. It is the owner of the land for construction, so it should pay CIT. The preparatory work has increased its assets. Services for Srebrna, in accordance with the VAT Act, are subject to this tax. However, the tax was not paid. We have been hearing for two years, three years how the PiS government, how Prime Minister Morawiecki, fights the VAT gap. We have a classic example of a VAT gap emerging. This is a model example. A service was performed, but VAT was not remitted. Therefore, we are filing, together with Ms. MP (Marta Golbik - ed.), for an appropriate audit - said Zbigniew Konwiński in the Sejm.

The invoice reported by Gazeta Wyborcza today is not a basis for payment as it's unclear what it concerns. Anyone can issue such an invoice to anyone.

Civic Platform: ABW Attempts to Intimidate Opposition MPs

- We have just received a summons from Piotr Pogonowski, head of the ABW, demanding that we cease violating his personal rights and offer an apology. Interestingly, this pre-litigation summons is on ABW letterhead. It is signed as the head of the ABW. We are therefore in a situation where the head of the ABW wants to assert his personal rights using state services. In this notification, this request, Mr. Pogonowski very clearly states that his personal rights have been violated. However, this does not prevent him from using the service subordinate to him. Another appointee of PiS treats the state as their property. Another appointee of PiS believes that their personal rights are identical to the personal rights of the institution they head. Of course, we do not intend to apologize to anyone in this matter, as our questions regarding the connections of important politicians associated with PiS to the Srebrna company are entirely natural - stated Marcin Kierwiński at a briefing in the Sejm, "ABW Attempts to Intimidate Opposition MPs".

Jackowski on Glapiński's Statement: Irony and Petty Malice Speak Poorly of Him. He Doesn't Understand the Essence of Democracy or Parliament's Functioning. He's Signaling He Has Something to Hide.

I don't see this in personal terms, because I believe that treating voters, in whose name I made this intervention, with disrespect, and resorting to irony and petty malice, speaks poorly of the President of the National Bank of Poland, as he seemingly doesn't understand the essence of democracy and the fundamental workings of institutions like parliament, nor the control mechanisms that parliament possesses. From this perspective, I regret that a state official of this rank behaves in such a manner: unprofessional and emotional. I believe he is thus signaling that he has something to hide in this matter. He emphasizes this in his statements, and on the other hand, he shows that he cannot reconcile himself with the fact that as a result of his actions, the Sejm had to adopt a law on the transparency of salaries in management positions at the NBP” – said Senator Jan Maria Jackowski in an interview with journalists in the Sejm, published by wyborcza.pl.

13:47

Jackowski on Glapiński's Statement: I Understand It's Praise for Being a Proponent of Freedom. Unlike the Governor, I Apparently Have Nothing to Hide

Very kind words. I understand it's praise for being a proponent of freedom. Unlike the Governor, I apparently have nothing to hide” - said Senator Jan Maria Jackowski in an interview with journalists in the Sejm, published by wyborcza.pl.

PM during the V4+Germany Summit in Bratislava: The European Union and the United States are Pillars of Peace and Democracy. We Want to Cooperate as Closely as Possible
“Thank you for organizing an interesting meeting and for the constructive talks. We also focused on the international dimension, on EU-United States relations, on transatlantic relations. We agreed that we may differ slightly within this transatlantic family, but the European Union and the United States are pillars of peace and democracy. We want to cooperate as closely as possible with each other,” said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the V4-Germany summit in Bratislava.

Pogonowski:

Opposition Presents Theses and Claims. I Strongly Protest Against the Slander Contained Within These Theses and Claims

- The opposition presents theses and claims. I strongly protest against the slander contained within these theses and claims - stated Piotr Pogonowski in an interview with the media.

- Could this lead to a lawsuit? - Justyna Dobrosz-Oracz inquired.

- It depends on the reaction of the addressees - replied the head of ABW.

- If there are no apologies - the journalist clarified.

- Let's wait and see - Pogonowski responded.

19:39

Schetyna:

Biedroń is a Populist. It Was Very Clearly Visible During His Convention. These Announcements, These Promises Are Classic Populism
I am the leader of the largest opposition party, which today must fight for absolutely fundamental things, meaning fighting against PiS, which is leading to Polexit. Fighting for Poland's position and reputation in Europe and the European Union. Fighting against populists, who are everywhere and are a threat to Polish politics - said Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" on Polsat News. - Robert Biedroń is a populist - the journalist pressed. - Well, yes, it was very clearly visible during that convention. Those announcements, those promises are classic populism - Schetyna replied.

19:49

Schetyna:

After the election, we will definitely establish an investigative committee regarding Srebrna

- This matter will certainly be addressed. It's not just a matter for the prosecution and services, who should be working very intensively on this issue. There should be an investigative committee. We will definitely establish (after the election - ed.) an investigative committee to initiate such a process in parliament, so that it can be shown. Absolutely pathological behavior - said Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

Biedroń on Political Rivals: "They're All Scared. Poor Things. 14%. If I Were Them, I'd Be Scared Too."
"They're all scared. Poor things. 14%. If I were them, I'd be scared too" – said Robert Biedroń in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

20:21

Biedroń:

For years, neither PO nor PiS did anything to prepare us for adopting the euro. Ultimately, Poland must have the euro.

- For years, neither Civic Platform nor PiS did anything to prepare us for adopting the euro. Did you know that for over a decade we had a plenipotentiary for the introduction of the euro in Poland? Civic Platform had a man on a salary, a quite decent one, almost ministerial. Do you know what his name was? Does anyone know the name of the plenipotentiary we all paid for? - said Robert Biedroń in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" on Polsat News.

- Ultimately, Poland must have the euro. If we want to integrate with the European Union, and we are EU fundamentalists, Poland's place is in the European Union, our raison d'état is to be in the European Union, but today Poles, and Poland, because of the neglect of previous governments, know very little about the euro - Biedroń added.

Biedroń on European Parliament Elections: At Least 10 Seats. But This is Just the Beginning, the Thaw. In May, We Will Prove We're Not Just on the Podium, But Will Be the Leading Political Force in Poland
- At least 10. Today, with this poll at 14%, we have 10 seats. But this is just the beginning, the thaw. We are still just getting started. In May, we will prove that we are not only on the podium, and all polls from recent months show that we are already permanently on the podium, but we will also be the leading political force in Poland - said Robert Biedroń in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" on Polsat News.

Strzembosz:

Tuesday's ECJ Ruling is Much Needed. I Await the Ruling on the KRS Even More

- This ruling [ECJ on the Supreme Court] on Tuesday will be much needed. I await the ruling on the KRS even more, because among various preliminary questions, such a problem was also raised - stated Adam Strzembosz in an interview with Monika Olejnik on "Kropka nad i" on TVN24.

20:41

Strzembosz:

I'm Waiting for Spring, Whether it's Necessarily Robert Biedroń's - We Could Discuss

- This is already a strictly political matter. I am generally waiting for spring, whether it's necessarily Mr. Biedroń's, we could discuss – stated Adam Strzembosz in an interview with Monika Olejnik on "Kropka nad i" on TVN24, when asked if he smiled at the sight of Robert Biedroń's Wiosna (Spring) party.

However, if I were a politician, I wouldn't do it' - stated Adam Strzembosz in an interview with Monika Olejnik on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" (The Dot Above), when asked if the Concordat can be renegotiated.
