„Pracujemy nad tym, pracujemy w ramach UE, pracujemy w ramach kontaktów dwustronnych, tak żeby ten Brexit nie był twardy. Jest to w interesie Polski, jest to w interesie Europy, jest to w interesie Wielkiej Brytanii” – podkreślił.

W południe w piątek w Brukseli w Dworze Europejskim odbędzie się szczyt przywódców państw UE.

Premier Mateusz Morawiecki zapowiedział, że Polska będzie starała się na szczycie o „jak najlepsze warunki” dla Polaków mieszkających w Wielkiej Brytanii po Brexicie.

W piątek w Londynie premier Mateusz Morawiecki spotkał się z przedstawicielami polonijnych organizacji.

Szef rządu zapowiedział, że „wszystkie siły polskiego państwa” są skierowane na zapewnienie, że polscy obywatele „będą mieli jak najlepsze warunki, żeby żyć i pracować w Wielkiej Brytanii po wyjściu z UE”.

„Stawiamy na to, żeby obywatele polscy nie byli pokrzywdzeni przez Brexity” – powiedział.

O wyjściu z UE zdecydowali mieszkańcy Wielkiej Brytanii w referendum 23 czerwca 2016 roku.

Brytyjski parlament nie zgodził się na umowę wyjścia z UE.

W tej sytuacji wielu polityków wzywa do ponownego głosowania w parlamencie w sprawie umowy wyjścia z UE lub do przeprowadzenia drugiego referendum.

W ostatnich dniach zwiększyły się znacząco liczby zwolenników twardego Brexitu w wielu krajach europejskich.

Prezydent Francji Emmanuel Macron ocenił w piątek, że „nie ma możliwości cofnięcia decyzji o Brexicie”.

„Jest tylko jedna droga do realizacji tej decyzji” – podkreślił.

Na tle zwiększonej liczby zwolenników twardego Brexitu w wielu krajach europejskich, polski premier Mateusz Morawiecki zadeklarował, że chce „rozmawiać z każdym, kto jest gotów rozmawiać o tym, jak zapobiec twardemu Brexitowi”.

Premier podkreślił, że „Polska jest otwarta na dialog i współpracę z każdym państwem członkowskim Unii Europejskiej”.

A court has ordered a three-month pre-trial detention for Bartłomiej M., a suspect in the murder of 15-year-old Bartek. The suspect was apprehended on Tuesday evening.

Krystyna Skowrońska has been occupying the rostrum in the Sejm's plenary hall for approximately 20 minutes. The Civic Platform (PO) MP claims she wanted to submit a formal motion during the second reading of the bills concerning salaries at the National Bank of Poland (NBP), but deliberations on the matter had already concluded.

Ryszard Terlecki announced a 5-minute break and stated that due to it, the Sejm would be working until morning. Skowrońska continues to occupy the rostrum, demanding that her formal motion be submitted.

After the break, Marshal Terlecki announced the exclusion of the MP from the Sejm session, but she still continues to occupy the rostrum.

- Anyone observing this in Poland, even if they don't understand the legal intricacies, even if it turns out the law wasn't broken, though in my opinion it was, lawyers will judge... I believe the law was broken, but lawyers and courts will judge that. However, certainly, even if someone doesn't understand that, they understand the unprecedented arrogance, the stunt, and the brazenness of the ruling party, which contradicts all the ideals it has held high until now – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in an interview with Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".

It is now certain that MPs will not vote on the bill concerning compensation for public media during this session. The PiS proposal was originally scheduled for consideration in the morning, then the time was changed to 10:45 PM, and now it has been moved to 1:30 AM, crucially, after the night voting block.

In theory, the bill could have been passed with express speed, without referral to a committee – this has happened before in this term. However, in the current situation, it is impossible because the first reading will only take place after the voting block, which, according to the current schedule, is planned to start at midnight.

The next Sejm session – a continuation of the current one plus the next – is only scheduled for February 20-22. Moreover, the Senate will not convene again until a month later, on March 20-22. If PiS does not decide on an additional Senate session after March 22, or another additional Sejm session before February 15, the issue of public media financing will be prolonged until the end of March/early April.

Just a moment ago, another modification was made to the Sejm's session schedule. The first reading of the PiS bill concerning the introduction of compensation for public media will take place before the voting block, in a few to a dozen or so minutes. Theoretically, this revives the scenario of the bill being passed in an expedited procedure, without committee review. Otherwise, the work will drag on until the next session.
