Leszczyna:

The Meeting with the Prime Minister Turned Out to Be a Meeting of Hypocrisy and Duplicity

- If this had just been political theatre, I might have considered politics to be theatre, that's its charm. But this meeting [on Friday with Prime Minister Morawiecki] turned out to be a meeting of hypocrisy and duplicity – stated Izabela Leszczyna on "Breakfast at Polsat News".

Schreiber:

We are the first team to decide to lower our earnings
- We are the first team [who, knowing what pensions are like] decided to lower our earnings. Of course, we would like to reach 100% and not 30% of free medicines for people over 70. But for years, nothing was done, this program was not in public debate at all. We increased social spending by 70 billion. An inflation of 1.1% with such an increase is the dream of every economist. Increasing this spending means returning to the inflation that was under the PO governments - said Łukasz Schreiber on TVP Info.

Raising Penalties Won't Help If Prosecutors Drop Cases at the Outset

- As it happens, I am the only person [in the studio] who attended the meeting [with Prime Minister Morawiecki]. It's not that the table is groaning with proposals, because there are no proposals. There are ideas for various types of solutions, for the future, and that's what I told the Prime Minister and the ministers. It's something we can and perhaps should focus on. I wouldn't be looking for the entire spectrum, a wide range of solutions today, so as not to fall into legislative diarrhea. We promised to direct our experts to this work, but that's not what I went to that meeting for - stated in "Kawa na ławę" on TVN24, hosted today by Krzysztof Skórzyński.

- No future solution will make sense if we don't diagnose what happened and find the cause. Raising penalties won't help if prosecutors drop such cases at the very beginning - added the head of the Civic Platform club. As he emphasized, there are a dozen or so, perhaps a few dozen such investigations.

What's the Deal with Electricity and Draining Poles' Pockets?
- What's the deal with electricity and draining Poles' pockets? It's the same sham as the hugely deceptive 70 Plus Drugs program. The law we passed is not being implemented - Paweł Bejda said on Woronicza 17.

We Will Vote for the "Mama 4 Plus" Project. It's a Good Project
- We will vote for the "Mama 4 plus" project. It's a good project. Just as we voted for "500 plus" - said Paweł Bejda from PSL on Woronicza 17.

Hetman:

Not Every Political Dispute is Hate Speech

- We're about to fall into a trap. Not every political dispute is hate speech. Soon, it will be impossible to criticize a bad bill because its author will claim it's hate speech - stated Krzysztof Hetman on TVN24's "Kawa na ławę" (Coffee on the Bench), hosted today by Krzysztof Skórzyński.

Dolniak:

At This Stage, We Should Not Render a Final Verdict

- We here at the table, we politicians, regardless of our profession, should not render a final verdict at this stage. That can only happen when the facts are established, and they will be established not even during the prosecution process, but by a final court decision. Then we will talk about whether there was a mistake, who made that mistake - stated Barbara Dolniak on TVN24's "Kawa na ławę" (Coffee on the Table), hosted today by Krzysztof Skórzyński.

Morawiecki:

The Holocaust was perpetrated not by Nazis, but by Hitler's Germany
The Holocaust that was happening then was not carried out by any Nazis, but by Hitler's Germany – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the commemorations of the 74th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. – It was Hitler's Germany that fed on fascist ideology, which later, even today, all historians refer to as such. But all the evil originated from that state, and one must not forget this, otherwise, evil will be relativized – he added. – The Polish state stands guard over the truth, which cannot be relativized in any way, and I want to make such a promise of full truth about those times here – the head of the Polish government continued. – We must look truth straight in the eye, so that this terrible, cruel death that befell everyone imprisoned here and in other German extermination camps does not happen again – he stated.

Party Promotion Campaign to Seamlessly Transition into European Parliament Campaign", Biedroń's Plan Includes Convention, Poland Tour, EU Campaign Launch Around March 5th, and Women's Projects

On Sunday, February 3rd, at Warsaw's Towar, a convention will be held to inaugurate Robert Biedroń's new political project. During this event, the name and faces of the grouping will be presented, along with a package of programmatic proposals. As we hear, among these are three important projects: a bill on women's reproductive and sexual rights, an amendment to the Patient Rights and Patient Advocate Act, and an amendment to the Act on Counteracting Domestic Violence.

Following the convention, Biedroń will embark on a tour of Poland – he plans meetings in 13 major cities, with a briefing and a micro-convention featuring him and two deputy leaders in each. Additionally, in each city, a meeting with a different interest group is scheduled. From February 4th to March 4th, as part of the promotion of the new party, Robert Biedroń aims to meet with 20,000 people during open gatherings.

As 300POLITYKA learns, Biedroń will commence his campaign around March 5th, and in mid-March, he will announce the lead candidates for the European Parliament. There are many indications that Biedroń's spring party promotion campaign will precede his competitors' campaigns for the EU elections – PO politicians mention April, and PiS has not yet revealed details. Biedroń will visit, among other cities, Łódź, Zielona Góra, Poznań, Katowice, Bydgoszcz, Kraków, Gdańsk, and Wrocław. "The party promotion campaign will seamlessly transition into the European Parliament campaign," our interlocutors emphasize.

The aforementioned reproductive rights bill is intended to be a special act and will encompass comprehensive guarantees for the right to sex education, modern, free contraception, and abortion on demand up to 12 weeks. It will also introduce changes to the infertility treatment act by removing the provision limiting in vitro fertilization solely to couples and will guarantee a firm – statutory, rather than through a regulation as during the PO government's tenure – funding for infertility treatment.

The draft amendment to the Patient Rights Act is expected to include, among other things, a provision guaranteeing anesthesia during childbirth, as well as other perinatal care standards currently defined only by regulation. The amendment to the anti-violence act, on the other hand, will include a mechanism – rejected for years – for the immediate isolation of the perpetrator from the victim in the form of an order issued by the police. As part of this amendment, a definition of economic violence will likely also appear, which neither PO nor PiS has introduced since 2012, despite it being clearly stipulated in the signed Council of Europe's anti-violence convention.
