At 11:00 AM, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Minister Mariusz Błaszczak will participate in the signing of a contract for helicopter deliveries to the Polish Army in Mielec.

At noon, President Andrzej Duda will meet with journalists from local and regional media. The discussion is expected to focus on raising awareness of the free legal aid system.

At 3:30 PM, a meeting is scheduled in the Sejm between Prime Minister Morawiecki and representatives of parliamentary clubs and groups. A very good conversation, if I may say so, with Tim Cook. Recently, the company with the largest market capitalization in the world, now perhaps second, after Microsoft, so a giant, of course. I urged CEO Cook to open an interesting research and development center in Poland, because that is what I care about most. He was very interested. Poland is associated with economic success for him. Now, as in many places in Davos, I must say that this is how they think of us. We already have a good, established reputation, both in terms of budget parameters and public debt to GDP, but also, of course, economic growth. At the same time, these various company leaders realize that Poland is a very rapidly growing market, and it is good to be in such a market - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in an interview with 300POLITYKĄ and WP.

- I approach the program extremely seriously, deadly seriously, and I must honestly say that it is currently in the analysis phase. We don't have a complete program yet, we're calculating various things, we're thinking about 2020, 2021, and it would be premature today to honestly say we have something prepared from beginning to end. Various issues, variants are currently being calculated - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in an interview with 300POLITYKA and WP.

"I have a fairly well-formed opinion regarding the behavior of individual actors on the political scene. Let's put it that way. First and foremost, it seems to me that mature states, and Poland has been maturing for 30 years, if we can and should accept the beginning of the Round Table talks as a caesura for the start of our path to freedom, in a free Poland – and I was opposed to it then, but later, through the elections of June 4th, we moved towards freedom, ever faster – then, by learning democracy, freedom, and the principles of cooperation in society, it is worth reaching for new methods, and this meeting is such a new opening, a mutual outstretched hand on this particular matter, which does not mean that the opposition will stop criticizing us, nor that we will stop fighting for our positions.

- I must emphasize once again that I genuinely and authentically do not watch television. So, for me to have some very personal, well-formed opinion here, I would have to watch several, or even a dozen, of these programs and form such an opinion. However, I must state with full responsibility for my own views that I am convinced that in our Third Republic, in recent years, over the last 20-30 years, we have witnessed an enormous, at times gigantic, bias in the media in a completely different political direction than the one I represent - Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stated in an interview with 300POLITYKA and WP.

- I have a genuine conviction, when I watch some programs on so-called private stations, indeed private ones, which fortunately I don't watch too often, someone shows me bits and pieces from time to time, it makes my hair stand on end and reminds me of Jerzy Urban's propaganda in all its splendor, or rather, in all its ugliness - added PM.

- We have not yet made a final… Perhaps differently: today we will have a press conference, together with Kosiniak-Kamysz, the leader of PSL, and then I will state what Nowoczesna's decision is. As Nowoczesna, after receiving the first invitation, we asked for more specifics. And we received that yesterday, with information about what the meeting is supposed to be about. Other opposition clubs also received this, by the way. We discussed it yesterday at a club meeting. I certainly wouldn't want to participate in anything that is political theatre, but one can also take a stand at any meeting. There are arguments for attending, and there are also arguments against attending. We will announce the final decision at a press conference – stated Katarzyna Lubnauer in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

- I don't believe that TVP is responsible for inflaming emotions. If anyone were to be held responsible, it wouldn't be a single medium. I am convinced that all these outlets, including all those places where negative emotions arise, should be considered, but I wouldn't point to just one medium. I am convinced that all those media outlets that stir up emotions should think twice before showing certain materials. I believe that materials of this kind that stir up emotions appear in many media outlets. This is what we need to pay attention to. Of course, in a situation where it is public television, it also has a different character and a different weight for public opinion. It is not a private medium where the owner can decide whether something should be broadcast or not. Therefore, it is subject to greater social control, greater state control. Those who are making these programs today should demand more from themselves, and society should also demand more from them – said Paweł Szefernaker in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Siódma9's "Poranek" (Morning Show).

- But God forbid, I don't think it's a matter of one medium being responsible right now. Because it's simply unfair to frame it that way. Many materials that shouldn't appear are present in many media outlets, and I am convinced that there are many media outlets with many more sins on their conscience in this regard than public television. Public television should be particularly sensitive on this point, and I think Poles today demand this sensitivity from all those who create public television. But I'll repeat myself. I am certainly convinced that there are many more media outlets that are not subject to such social control because they are private media, and they do much more harm to raise emotions during public debate, and I repeat, it serves no purpose – Szefernaker added.

“I have the impression that if we had Civic Coalition at this moment, I think we would be stronger in the current situation. As the opposition, we should be like one fist, cooperating. I am having many conversations with the SLD, with Mr. Włodzimierz Czarzasty, and with the PSL. I am convinced that PO, as the largest opposition party, has a special responsibility for building a coalition” – said the leader of Nowoczesna, Katarzyna Lubnauer, in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- I wouldn't say it hinders work in the Ministry of Finance, because the work is proceeding as it should, but the turmoil surrounding the central bank, or whatever else you call it, editor, certainly doesn't benefit any central bank. It's an institution commanding the highest trust in any country, so naturally, this is not a desirable situation for an institution like a central bank - stated Teresa Czerwińska in a conversation with Marcin Fijołek on the morning show Siódma9, when asked if the situation at the NBP, the turmoil surrounding President Glapiński, somehow affects the daily work in the Ministry of Finance.

• - We want to declare, because such questions are appearing, on behalf of Nowoczesna, that we will participate in today's meeting with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. Paweł Pudłowski will participate, as the club's leader. We believe it is worth talking, but this conversation must be about specifics, not political theatre - Katarzyna Lubnauer said during a press conference in the Sejm.

Information on the conduct of the police and the prison service before this tragic event. We expect this information to be presented at the next Sejm session - added the PSL leader.

- The matter is serious, and therefore we want to participate in this discussion with all seriousness. We can talk about future solutions, changes in the code, the mental health act, but that can be done in parliamentary committees; it doesn't require such a specific meeting as between the head of government and parliamentary faction leaders. Therefore, we hope that the Prime Minister will begin our meeting today by presenting a report on the investigation into the murder of Paweł Adamowicz, on the actions of the services, the prosecutor's office, the Prison Service, which so far have only reached public opinion through leaks, as well as perhaps omissions or lack of reaction from the special services when many people informed either the Prison Service or the police, because the perpetrator's mother, his accomplice in attacks, guardians, psychologists, all informed that there was a person who was a political extremist, had extreme political views, and threatened those on the other side of the political scene, and the lack of reaction to such behavior causes enormous concern. We want to start this calm, closed conversation from this point, in order to address the causes, not just fight the consequences. That is why I will go to this meeting [with Prime Minister Morawiecki], but counting on it having a broader scope than what the Prime Minister is proposing - stated Sławomir Neumann at a briefing in the Sejm.

- We expect three things from this meeting. Firstly, the reinstatement, the reopening of all investigations discontinued by the prosecutor's office related to acts of hatred in Poland. Secondly, the admission of the auxiliary prosecutor's representative, who was present and observed the proceedings in this investigation. Thirdly, the absolutely swift dismissal of the management of TVP, which has a huge role in creating this atmosphere of hatred in Poland, this hate speech and slandering people, and stripping political opponents of the PiS government of their dignity - he added.

- There is no sign of reflection. Even yesterday's events in the Senate showed that they disgracefully amended, in my opinion, the resolution commemorating the tragic death of Paweł Adamowicz. The behavior of Professor Gliński, who cut the subsidy to ECS and shows no reflection on this matter, demonstrates that PiS has drawn no conclusions. TVP also shows that this language of propaganda, hatred, and aggression persists, as best exemplified by "Wiadomości" immediately after the president's death - stated Ryszard Petru at a briefing in the Sejm.

- Actions first, then meetings. I do not expect revelations from this meeting. I believe it will either end in an argument or nothing. Therefore, I have decided that there is no point in attending a meeting outlined with such an agenda today. Consequently, I will not participate in this meeting - he added.

- I am pleased with this purchase. It testifies to the efficiency of the Polish state, its financial strength, the fulfillment of NATO allied commitments, and its budgetary capabilities. Let these black hawks – the Black Hawks – guard the Polish skies. In Mielec's coat of arms is a black visor. I believe that somewhere in our consciousness, in our minds, there is also a black hawk, which, together with the white eagle, will defend Polish skies - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the signing of the contract for Black Hawk helicopters for the special forces.


- I am very pleased that the Polish Army, and especially the special forces, will be equipped with this state-of-the-art equipment. This is a new design. This is a helicopter that guarantees an increase in the combat capabilities of our soldiers - stated Mariusz Błaszczak.

„We want to talk about the act on free legal aid, free civic counseling, and legal education, an act that is intended to deepen legal knowledge among the public, but above all, to ensure that people who are or will be in legal trouble in the future find legal assistance, even if they are in a life situation where they cannot afford to use the services of a professional lawyer,” said President Andrzej Duda during a meeting with local media journalists.

„It turned out [with Dudapomocy] that the demand for such legal aid across the country is enormous. The demand far exceeded the capabilities of the Dudapomocy office. It became clear that this assistance should be extended to the whole of Poland,” he added.

“There is a lack of understanding of what is happening in Central Europe among our Western European friends, because after World War II, they were on the right side of the Iron Curtain, and we were on the wrong side, and for that reason, we suffered greatly. We are now cleaning up what was not right in the judicial system, but of course, 80%, even 90% of judges are decent people, who are very good people. Perhaps even 99%” – Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said in an interview with The Express.

“Several months ago, and in May of last year, we introduced changes that we agreed upon with Brussels. So now it is the European Commission's turn, but some European commissioners may be trying to politicize it” – he added.

The Prime Minister's Office (KPRM) is currently hosting a meeting of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki with the ministers responsible for justice, interior affairs, and health. This high-level gathering indicates discussions on critical government policy areas and potentially coordinated action on pressing national issues.

- The meeting with the chairpersons of parliamentary clubs and caucuses has concluded. It's very good that this meeting took place. I would like to sincerely thank all representatives of the parties and clubs who accepted this invitation and in a substantive, calm manner, as it should be in such a situation, we discussed topics related to the matters concerning the dramatic crime that occurred on January 13th. This matter primarily concerns the following question: how to prevent such incidents in the future, when a person who is mentally ill, a repeat offender, a criminal, is released into freedom after serving a prison sentence, and society wants to have assurance that this person does not pose a threat to security. Therefore, I first asked Minister Szumowski to propose solutions, to present what has already been worked out in the Ministry of Health regarding such situations. Then I asked the Minister of Justice, Zbigniew Ziobro, to also present possible solutions that could contribute to preventing such situations in the future. I also asked Minister Joachim Brudziński to present a detailed timeline of events that led, according to the services under the minister's command, to this tragic event on January 13th and which also took place after this event until today. This was very important information that also formed the basis for our discussion - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a briefing in the Sejm.

- In the context of proposals, very concrete legislative proposals that have already been worked out and presented in the initial phase. We have also asked representatives of the opposition, parliamentary caucuses and clubs, to also propose their experts, and we will also invite non-governmental organizations dealing with this issue, and opposition parliamentary clubs and caucuses can also propose such organizations with whom they cooperate - he continued. - I assure you that we will work out, and I hope after this meeting, that we will work out together with the opposition a joint version of appropriate legal regulations that will prevent such situations in the future, thus leading to an increase in the level of security - added the Prime Minister.

– We have responded to several requests from the opposition, whether from Civic Platform, Kukiz'15, or Chairman Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. These requests primarily concerned having detailed information presented on the [investigation into the murder of the Mayor of Gdańsk] and a debate during the upcoming Sejm session. It's important that such information is indeed presented and that individual parliamentary clubs discuss it and adopt a stance – Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stated during a press conference in the Sejm.

- I want to emphasize the good atmosphere of this meeting and my opinion on this matter, which I believe is shared by the participants of this meeting, that after all, a political competitor, a political opponent is not an enemy. That one must know how to talk, both in the political world, as well as in the world of media, in the sphere of opinion formation, and thus opinion leaders too, should certainly not only take great care of all the words they utter, check them thoroughly, think about them, but also tone down public debate, where possible - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a briefing in the Sejm. As PMM emphasized, they managed to reach an agreement on many issues, while in some they stuck to their own opinions.

To start with, the Prime Minister and ministers presented the situation, how they acted after the murder, and what recommendations they have regarding legal changes, asking for support from the opposition and expert work, particularly in the Ministry of Health, related to the treatment of mentally ill individuals leaving prison,” said Sławomir Neumann after the Prime Minister’s meeting with the leaders of parliamentary clubs.

The second part of the discussion concerned what Platforma raised. We have absolutely no certainty today that the person who committed this political murder is mentally unbalanced. Three points are important with which I went to the meeting. We have full agreement from the Prime Minister and the Minister of Justice. If a family requests a representative in the investigation, we have the Prime Minister’s declaration that such a positive decision will be made, and it will be possible to have someone who will oversee the investigation,” he added.

The second matter relates to the resumption of proceedings upon the request of victims of various incidents and events related to hatred. This issue has no clear resolution, as Minister Ziobro is not very keen on resuming these proceedings. A clear rift between the Prime Minister and the Minister of Justice is visible,” Neumann explained.

The third thing is TVP and the dismissal of the authorities of public television, which we hold enormously responsible for raising the level of aggression in political debate, a level no longer accepted by the majority of the political class. There is absolutely no cooperation or agreement. The Prime Minister sided with TVP, and the matter was concluded on behalf of PiS by Marshal Terlecki, who believes that this television is exceptionally pluralistic, and everything shown there accurately reflects reality,” he added.

- The Polish People's Party achieved its goal because we postulated that at the upcoming Sejm session, there should be a debate and government information regarding the investigation that is ongoing in connection with the murder of the late President Adamowicz. This was placed on the agenda for today's meeting and was announced at a press conference by the Prime Minister - said Piotr Zgorzelski in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the Polsat News program "Wydarzenia i Opinie".

- This is an attempt to create a bad atmosphere, but I understand it stems from anger. Gazeta Wyborcza is politically engaged. I regret this – said Mariusz Błaszczak in an interview with Michał Adamczyk on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości" program.

- There is one thing that was not accepted, in fact, there was a sharper exchange of words. This is fatal behavior for a television that should be civic, public, universal, not unilateral. Here, Chairman Terlecki expressed a very sharp opinion, stating that he sees nothing wrong, no need for changes, and a question arises for the Prime Minister, which we also asked: who can make this change? We know that only President Kaczyński can make it, but who will win in PiS? Will the hardliners, who see no need for reflection, win, or will the Prime Minister show?
