Zgorzelski:

The King of the Podium in the Polish Parliament is the PSL Chairman

- The king of the podium in the Polish parliament is the PSL chairman, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. His speeches are always emotional, substantive, and above all, cultured (...) Of course, he is the best candidate for prime minister, I don't think anyone has any doubts about that anymore - stated Piotr Zgorzelski in Dariusz Ociepa's "Breakfast on Polsat News."

Kierwiński:

SKOKs Invested Too Much in the Broader Environment Now Associated with PiS to Not Feel Protected

- Regarding these words [about Wojciech Kwaśniak being beaten], scandalous words, they truly show what kind of people we are dealing with. We are dealing with people who will stand by bandits simply to defend the interests of their own political environment. Because SKOKs invested too much in the broader environment now associated with PiS to not feel protected - stated Marcin Kierwiński in Dariusz Ociepa's "Breakfast on Polsat News".

Skurkiewicz on Pawłowicz's Decision: 'A Surprising Piece of Information for Me. I Hope It's Just an Emotional Outburst'

- A surprising piece of information for me, because the professor is a person who has truly brought a lot to politics. And I am convinced that it would be a great loss and also detrimental, because I assess her substantive level, her work in parliament very highly (...) I hope this is just an emotional outburst - stated Wojciech Skurkiewicz in Dariusz Ociepa's "Śniadanie w Polsat News", commenting on Krystyna Pawłowicz's announced departure from politics.

Kierwiński on Pawłowicz's Decision: This Seems Like Another Chapter in PiS's Renewed Love for the EU

- This seems like another chapter in PiS's renewed love for the European Union. If yesterday at the PiS convention Europe was mentioned in every possible way, after three years of dismantling Poland's position in Europe, after three years of war with Europe, and then in the evening we learn that a person who was always critical of the EU, who was the most anti-European member of PiS, is withdrawing from politics, then this is a maneuver - stated Marcin Kierwiński in Dariusz Ociepa's "Śniadanie w Polsat News".

Czarnecki:

PiS Was, Is, and Will Be a Euro-Realistic Party

- PiS was, is, and will be a euro-realistic party. We want to talk pragmatically with our partners - stated Ryszard Czarnecki in TVN24's "Kawa na ławę".

- Of course, our relations with the EU should, on the one hand, involve firmly asserting Polish interests, and on the other hand, finding common ground - added the PiS MEP.

Leszczyna:

Everyone outside the Eurozone is Doomed to Failure and Slower Development
- This slogan [regarding the Eurozone] was of course announced by Grzegorz Schetyna. He said that Poland will do everything to be ready to join the Eurozone as quickly as possible, in the nearest perspective. To want to join, one must first be ready. We will see what the state of finances will be after PiS loses the autumn elections, and we will do everything to ensure it is good enough relatively quickly so that we can join the Eurozone, because everyone who remains outside it is doomed to failure and slower development - stated Izabela Leszczyna on TVN24's "Kawa na ławę".

Government on Foreign Policy. The next Council of Ministers meeting will be held on Wednesday – not the usual Tuesday – at 10:00 AM. Petru:

I have an appeal to the entire united opposition, let this be our unifying slogan. We will abolish the Sunday trading ban.
It took me 15 minutes to find a free parking spot in the mall. This situation will unfortunately repeat itself. This year there were 23 Sundays free from trading, next year there will be 37. That is, 37 with a trading ban. In two years, according to the law passed by PiS, all Sundays will be subject to a trading ban. These crowds in shops, especially before holidays, show that Poles need to have the opportunity to shop on Sundays. I have an appeal to the entire united opposition, let this be our unifying slogan. We will abolish the Sunday trading ban. There is no reason to limit the freedom of Poles; shopping in shopping centers has shifted to gas stations on Sundays - stated Ryszard Petru at a briefing.

Tusk on PiS Convention: "The most important thing is to take care of lungs. I want Poland to become the lungs of Europe."
Today is a special day also in my biography, it is December 16th. I will always remember the year '70, because I lived through it alone as a 13-year-old boy, and 11 years later, also on the same December 16th in Gdańsk, the first victims of martial law. I cannot abstract from this in any way. Even more so, because I will be convincing this afternoon's audience that the lessons we have drawn, and I personally from Polish Decembers, are very important lessons for all of Europe and that it is worth remembering how much undemocratic power costs all people, what unchecked power can do to an ordinary person, and how important it is that we remember today in Europe that human rights are not some abstraction, that freedom of the press, assembly, the right to strike are things for which people died and today it sometimes seems like an empty slogan, but it is not. And I want to remind everyone of this. In general, in Europe, we are dealing with the questioning of these fundamental values, throughout Europe, without exception. More and more such voices are appearing that are questioning what people fought for, also then, in December 1970 and in December 1981. I have no doubt that we need to talk about this very loudly and remind people, because sooner or later something like our tragic Decembers will happen again. In Europe, in the world, in Poland, if power, wherever it is, does not feel limited, if it does not serve people, but only itself, and it is worth remembering this - stated Donald Tusk in a conversation with journalists. As he continued, when asked about yesterday's PiS convention:
"I haven't seen the [PiS] convention. But anatomically speaking, I think the most important thing today is to take care of the lungs. I want Poland to become the lungs of Europe. I am referring here to the recently concluded climate summit in Katowice. We all heard how impatient Poles are that, as if, particularly intensive actions are not being taken for the protection of health and life, de facto. This also concerns the heart here. 11,000 more people died in just one month in Poland than the previous year and this is directly related to smog in Poland. I have the impression that climate and environmental protection will cease to be a pipe dream for greens, ecologists, and some politicians, and that this need will reach, I think it has actually reached all people, at least in cities that are threatened by smog. It is worth starting to draw conclusions from this. When talking about the heart or lungs, it is probably worth starting to talk about it seriously."
- Measurements are absolute. I do not particularly want to pay too much attention to words and declarations, especially from those in power today, because there is little truthful information to be found there. This will also be the second topic of my speech. How threatened we are in today's world by lies and manipulation in public space and that restoring some elementary truth in politics seems to be a very urgent matter at this moment, and I dedicate this to everyone, of course, not only Prime Minister Morawiecki - added PDT.
