- I don't entirely disagree with my colleague [Bartosz Arłukowicz] regarding President Andrzej Duda's lack of reaction. In my assessment, given the conditions and possibilities, it was an adequate reaction. However, there is no real reaction from the West. There is no strong reaction from France, Germany, or Italy; they are doing business with Russia (...) The problem is that the National Security Council won't solve anything in this conflict, because broader European forums aren't engaging with this issue – stated Marek Sawicki in Dariusz Ociepa's "Breakfast at Polsat News," commenting on the failure to convene the National Security Council.

- This is a kindergarten, not politics. You don't understand the principles of politics, diplomacy, or how to behave with our key partner, the United States. For the sake of your own petty party interests, someone has leaked this letter to the media, it's circulating, and the discussion in Poland continues, and you're even calling the ambassador a celebrity. This shows that you are in kindergarten, not in politics - stated Bartosz Arłukowicz on Dariusz Ociepa's "Breakfast at Polsat News," referring to Ambassador Mosbacher's letter.

- Please tell your colleagues [Jarosław Sellin] to primarily prepare for the investigative committee concerning the KNF. Morawiecki must answer a few questions instead of talking nonsense on television about freedom. Let him prepare to answer why he appointed a lawyer, a 'mecenas', to the Supervisory Board of the WSE. Glapiński will have to answer what happened in his office after the conversation with Czarnecki. The Prime Minister will have to answer why she nominated Chrzanowski to the KNF. These are the questions you will face in the investigative committee, before which you will stand, because this matter needs to be clarified – stated Bartosz Arłukowicz during Dariusz Ociepa's "Breakfast at Polsat News".

"There is no reason to seek those politically responsible [for the scandal surrounding KNF], because we are rather dealing with the downfall of a specific individual who held an important public office and morally collapsed. Although this is, of course, a matter that will be investigated by the prosecutor's office" - said Deputy Minister Jarosław Sellin on TVN24's 'Kawa na ławę' program.

“This is a systemic issue. I even called it Kaczyński's affair in the sense that it is an affair related to the fact that a certain state system is being allowed, where all state institutions are taken over by party hacks” – said the leader of Nowoczesna, Katarzyna Lubnauer, on TVN24's "Kawa na ławę".

“The Central Bank is an independent, central bank of our country. The President recommends, presents a candidacy to the Sejm, and it is the Sejm that appoints. As for Mr. Chrzanowski himself – I believe state organs acted quickly. Of course, the entire matter needs to be clarified. There is no doubt about that. President Glapiński is primarily responsible for ensuring that our deposits and money are safe. As we can see, he does this very effectively. Objective rankings made in the EU, the three best banks in Europe – two of them are Polish banks, and that is the most important thing” – said Minister Błażej Spychalski on “Kawa na ławę” on TVN24.

"The amendment [to the amendment of the act on supervision of the financial market], which the so-called 'total opposition' is talking about today, concerned something completely different. The amendment, which in fact talks about small banks that might indeed have problems, which fills a certain gap that has arisen in the entire financial model, I don't quite understand what you're aiming at," said Minister Błażej Spychalski on TVN24's "Kawa na ławę" program.

The Sejm convenes in the first week of December. Lawmakers will address, among other things, a draft amendment to the law restricting trade on Sundays, as well as a motion to grant consent for the criminal prosecution and pre-trial detention of Stanisław Gawłowski. Meanwhile, Ryszard Petru's party congress will take place at the end of the week.

Gawłowski's Immunity. On Monday at 12:00 PM, the Sejm's Committee on Rules of Procedure, Deputies' Conduct, and Parliamentary Immunity will consider Stanisław Gawłowski's statement regarding the Sejm's consent to his criminal prosecution. The committee will also examine motions concerning Sławomir Neumann and Andrzej Halicki. Originally, the Sejm was scheduled to vote on the motion to grant consent for criminal prosecution and pre-trial detention during the previous session, but Gawłowski waived his immunity almost at the last minute. Consequently, the motion has been returned to the committee for an opinion.

COP24. On Monday, President Andrzej Duda will participate in the 24th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP24). The agenda includes, among other things, the official opening of the summit, the presentation of the "Just Transition" declaration, and a meeting between the President of the Republic of Poland and the UN Secretary-General with media representatives. Additionally, on Monday and Tuesday, as part of the summit, President Duda will hold a series of bilateral meetings.

Sejm on Sunday Trading. At its first session this month, the Sejm will address a bill amending the law on restricting trade on Sundays. The new regulations, proposed by the Law and Justice party (PiS), will prohibit, among other things, the opening of shops with postal services. According to the preliminary schedule seen by 300POLITYKA, the second reading is scheduled for Wednesday at 6:45 PM. This strongly suggests that the bill will be voted on as early as Friday morning. Furthermore, on Wednesday at 8:30 AM, an extraordinary Sejm committee for deregulation will provide its opinion on the bill.

PAD in Brzeszcze and Racibórz. On Tuesday at 12:00 PM, President Andrzej Duda will attend the Tauron Group's Barbórka Academy in Brzeszcze. On Friday, President Duda will visit Racibórz, where he will meet with residents at 4:30 PM.

Verdict in Kaczyński-Wałęsa Trial. A verdict is expected on Thursday in the defamation lawsuit filed by Jarosław Kaczyński against Lech Wałęsa. The case concerns statements made by the former president claiming that the PiS leader was responsible for the Smoleńsk plane crash.

Petru's Party Founding Congress. On Sunday, the founding convention of "Teraz" (Now), the new party of Ryszard Petru, Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus, and Joanna Schmidt, will take place in Warsaw. "Let's meet on Sunday, December 9th, let's talk about Poland, about our economy and future. Let's start changing Poland. Now!" announce the organizers. "We will show what our values are, what we want to fight for. For example, the issue of lifting the ban on trading on Sundays. I can say this: I believe that Nowoczesna is leaving this space and it is to be managed, when it comes to the electorate," Petru said on RMF FM.
