At 9:30 AM, Minister Mariusz Błaszczak will hand over archival documents concerning the Saxon Palace to the Chancellery of the President. Andrzej Duda will be represented by Minister Wojciech Kolarski.
At 11:30 AM, at the Bemowo airport in Warsaw, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Minister Joachim Brudziński will participate in the ceremony of handing over two S-70i Black Hawk helicopters to the Polish police. Later, at 4:00 PM, the head of the Polish government will attend the ceremonial Mining Festival (Barbórka) of Polska Grupa Górnicza S.A.
Piotr Misiło from Nowoczesna has announced a press conference at 11:00 AM in the Sejm. It is highly likely that the management board of Nowoczesna will also decide today to remove MP Misiło from the party.
At 2:00 PM, SLD politicians and representatives of the European left - Aleksander Kwaśniewski, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, Bogusław Liberadzki, Marek Belka, and Marosz Szewczowicz - plan to hold their press conference. All of them will be participating in a scientific conference organized by the Group of Progressive Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, and the Ignacy Daszyński Center.

Petru:
Nowoczesna is Abandoning a Certain Electorate, Which is Why I'm Forming a New Group with Scheuring-Wielgus
- Personally, I am saddened. I invested a lot of time and effort, but from the moment I was no longer the leader of this party, for about a year now, the people leading Nowoczesna are adults, they make their own decisions, and that's how it is - Ryszard Petru stated in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM. He added:
"I see a space on the political scene after Nowoczesna. It is abandoning a certain segment of the electorate, which is why I am forming a new grouping with Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus that focuses on the economy and social issues. On December 9th, we have a congress. There, we will demonstrate what our values are, what we want to fight for. For example, the issue of lifting the ban on Sunday trading. I can say this: I believe that Nowoczesna is vacating this space, and it is ripe for cultivation when it comes to the electorate."
08:21
Petru:
A Good Coalition is Either Everyone Together in One Big Formula, e.g., for Europe, or We Will Go Separately
- The experiences of the recent local government elections showed that if the PSL had been in the Civic Coalition (KO), PiS would have ruled the entire country in the regional assemblies. The fact that the PSL ran independently meant that thanks to this, the KO has a coalition partner. Secondly, a coalition should be good, not bad. A good coalition is one in which people can vote for the groupings they identify with. A good coalition is either everyone together in one big formula, for example, for Europe and for the European Parliament elections, or we will go separately. Especially since the electoral system for the EP elections is the most proportional of all - stated Ryszard Petru in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.
08:25
Petru:
PO is becoming increasingly socialist economically
- The Civic Platform is changing its views, it is becoming increasingly socialist economically and holds very similar views to PiS regarding pensions and the 500+ program. Meanwhile, the group we are forming with Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus is unequivocally liberal economically, advocating for flat taxes, the abolition of the Sunday trading ban, for instance, and is also unequivocal in its worldview, not on the basis of fighting institutions, but, as Joanna did, by mapping pedophilia in the Church. She is the first person in Poland who was not afraid of this topic - stated Ryszard Petru in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.
08:30
Petru:
Nowoczesna has disappeared as an independent entity, it has dissolved into Civic Platform
- If there isn't a broad bloc, in which I would see the PSL and SLD, then I don't see the point of a narrower coalition, because in my opinion, that narrower coalition did not prove itself in the local government elections. Nowoczesna has disappeared as an independent entity, it has dissolved into Civic Platform, while the result for the regional assemblies is known - stated Ryszard Petru in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.
08:30
Lubnauer:
I believe I made one mistake: not taking this action six months ago, because Mr. Misiło's actions were regular
- I believe I made one mistake: not taking this action six months ago, eight months ago, because Mr. Misiło's actions were regular. It's not as if something appeared for the first time suddenly. Perhaps it should have been sorted out earlier, because it would have caused less damage than we have at the moment - said Katarzyna Lubnauer in a conversation with Bartosz Węglarczyk in the program 'Onet Rano'.
08:32
Petru:
I'm Planning for the 'Teraz' Party to Run Alone in the Elections
08:37
Lubnauer:
We Must Build the Broadest Possible Agreement. This is What PiS Fears Most. PiS's Dream is to Fight the 2015 Platform. That's Gone. Now it's Civic Coalition.
- We must build the broadest possible agreement. This is what PiS fears most. PiS's dream is to fight the 2015 Platform. That's gone. Now there's Civic Coalition, and there's another entity that still has the possibility to expand to include PSL, in my opinion, SLD, and I hope Biedroń's movement as well – said Katarzyna Lubnauer in an interview with Bartosz Węglarczyk on the program „Onet Rano”.

Wójcik:
The European Commission Should Withdraw its Case from the ECJ
- As many times as it is necessary; we are unable to say regarding any act how many times it should be [amended], depending on various circumstances (...) There are acts that are amended multiple times - stated the Deputy Minister of Justice, Michał Wójcik, in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News' "Polityczne Graffiti," when asked how many times the Supreme Court Act can be amended.
The Deputy Minister of Justice emphasized that the Supreme Court Act had to be amended once again because it is the "path" that Poland has chosen to implement the "provisional measure of the ECJ."
- What is interesting is that there may still be a final ruling, because this was only preliminary, and the ECJ's judgment may come in many months, so actually everything can change. However, the other side of the coin is that there is no real dispute, and the European Commission should withdraw its complaint from the [EU] Court of Justice - said Wójcik.

Jaki:
"I wanted to win the elections in Warsaw, although everyone said it was a mission impossible, and so it turned out."
"I did not win these elections, but undoubtedly few people said that these elections could be won, and this result is not bad. This is the best result that a PiS candidate has achieved in Warsaw since 2006. This is a result nearly 40,000 better than President Duda's in Warsaw. I wanted to win these elections, although everyone said it was a mission impossible, and so it turned out" - said Deputy Minister Patryk Jaki in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- If Germany hadn't initiated this whole affair, we would be in a decidedly better position. I don't think Russia would have resorted to actions like those on Sunday in the Sea of Azov and earlier in Donbas. Germany and some other countries, by entering into such a project, are sending a misleading signal to Russia that we are cooperating despite everything - stated Bartosz Cichocki in an interview with Beata Lubecka on the program "Gość Radia Zet".
10:30
10:33
- We are crossing another barrier. The Polish Army is entering another stage of development, another stage of modernization. HIMARS missiles, with a range of up to 300 km, will be added to the equipment of the Polish Army. This is modern weaponry. This is weaponry that is essential for the Polish Army, weaponry that deters a potential enemy, a potential adversary - said Mariusz Błaszczak.
10:35
Jaki:
My Diagnoses Were Correct. Trzaskowski Lacks Competence, Determination, His Ideas Are Moonshots, and He Lies
“I regret to say that my diagnoses were correct. I regret to say this because I would wish it were otherwise. I stated that [Trzaskowski] is a person who lacks competence, determination, his ideas are moonshots, and that he lies. Unfortunately, today I would wish I were wrong, because that would be good for Warsaw, but unfortunately, it turns out I am right. He said there would be no increases in ticket prices or waste disposal fees, and he promised raises for teachers. It turns out that teachers will not receive the raises he promised, but there will be increases in waste disposal fees and ticket prices for public transportation. He is backing away from key investments like the investment in Skra, even though he promised it during the election campaign. It turns out that the metro is not what he promised. It turns out that he lied. I said during the election campaign that this would happen because he is poorly prepared for this role [Mayor of Warsaw]” – said Deputy Minister Patryk Jaki in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.
10:37
Jaki:
I would like to reach an agreement with the City Hall on fundamental matters
"I would like to reach an agreement with the City Hall on fundamental matters. Even if this City Hall is very distant from me. [Paweł Rabiej] is the only element in the City Hall's puzzle that I hope will allow something good to be done. Whether this will happen, time will tell" - said Deputy Minister Patryk Jaki in a conversation with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.
10:38
- With great joy, I recently learned that the government plans to lower VAT on bread and children's clothing. This is important. This is important for Polish farmers. This VAT reduction, even if only by 3%, from 8% to 5%, if it becomes a reality, will be very significant. But at the same time, I want to say one thing very strongly. Voices are emerging that VAT on veterinary medicines is to be increased. From 8% to 23%, thus by 15%. I appeal for such ideas to be withdrawn. I will not agree to an increase in VAT on veterinary medicines, because this will harm Polish agriculture, animal breeders, and also ordinary people - stated President Andrzej Duda at the opening of the National Agricultural Exhibition in Poznań.

Misiło:
I'm an Independent MP. I Was Hoping for a Collegial Court Trial, But as I Heard from Colleagues, Katarzyna Was Afraid I Might Convince the Court with My Arguments
- I am an independent MP. As this is a completely new situation for me, which, I must admit honestly, I did not expect yesterday, because I was hoping for a collegial court trial, but as I heard from colleagues, Mrs. Katarzyna was afraid that I might still convince the collegial court with my arguments and I might not be expelled from the party, so it's better not to risk and she made the decision for the board to expel me - said Piotr Misiło in the Sejm.
11:50
Wójcik:
Jaki Has the Right to Return to Solidarna Polska. He Gained Better Support Than PAD in Warsaw
- Patryk Jaki always has the right to return to Solidarna Polska. After all, I have been cooperating with Patryk for several years, I value him very much, truly. He even gained greater support than President Duda when he ran for president in Warsaw – stated Michał Wójcik in an interview with Jacek Nizinkiewicz on Rzeczpospolita TV.
12:24
„We are striving to ensure the police are as well-equipped as possible, that they are equipped with helicopters of Polish production, which were manufactured in Mielec by a plant with very long traditions, by a company that has produced many helicopters and sells them worldwide, by a company that cooperates with dozens of Polish suppliers. This particularly pleases me, especially from an economic perspective. These helicopters are, above all, the safety of Poles. I am glad that Poles feel safe” - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the handover of Black Hawk helicopters to the Polish police.
13:47
Duda:
"Polexit" seems to be the only known element of PO's agenda. They repeat it like a mantra and are clearly heading in that direction. Does PO want to push Poland out of the EU?

13:57
President Andrzej Duda, referencing his tweet about Civic Platform (PO) allegedly aiming for Polexit, stated: "Your persistent propaganda and twisting of facts is exhausting me. I'm disgusted, even a saint wouldn't endure this... so sorry."
The President's statement was made in response to a tweet on November 30, 2018.

- There are two paths, according to the statute. Of course, he can appeal, and then the collegial court will consider it. However, according to the statute, [Piotr Misiło] was expelled by the board at the request of the chairperson - informed Adam Szłapka.

15:37
President Andrzej Duda today signed nine laws, including amendments to certain acts aimed at strengthening supervision over the financial market and protecting investors within it. This is the so-called bank takeover act.

Czarzasty:
SLD Open to Pro-European Bloc with Parties We Haven't Always Agreed With, Including PO, Nowoczesna, and PSL. Decisions by Late January/Early February.
- We want to create a progressive bloc of left-wing parties in Poland. We are in talks with the Razem party, the Greens, and with the group around Robert Biedroń, whose direction is not yet clear. For the first time, I want to say, on behalf of my party, the Democratic Left Alliance (SLD). We resonate with the thinking of Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz, who rightly argues that the European Union is a value that must be defended with all our might. As the SLD, we are open to the possibility of forming a pro-European bloc with parties with whom we haven't always seen eye to eye, but we recognize that the European Union is an immense value – said Włodzimierz Czarzasty during a press conference at the International Cultural Centre in Krakow.
- I am thinking of Civic Platform (PO), Nowoczesna, the Polish People's Party (PSL), and I am also thinking of our brothers and sisters on the left, including the Labour Union (Unia Pracy), the Feminist Initiative, and those structures with which we currently cooperate. We will make decisions on this matter at the turn of January and February – added Czarzasty.

Morawiecki:
Poland Would Not Exist Without the Labor of Miners
- Poland would not exist without the labor of miners. Without what happened at the dawn of our independence. Without the great heroes of the Silesian Uprisings and without the years that followed. During the Second Polish Republic, mining constituted an absolute foundation, it was the absolute foundation of the economy – said Mateusz Morawiecki during the ceremonial St. Barbara's Day academy of Polska Grupa Górnicza S.A.
- I thank everyone who has contributed to the fact that we can look with pride into the future of the Silesian Voivodeship and the entire mining community. Long live the mining profession. Godspeed – added the Prime Minister.

Mosbacher:
There is no excuse for my typos. My spelling is chaotic, I am embarrassed by it. It cannot be defended.
- [The situation] is unusual because a letter leaked to the media. However, against the advice of my advisors, I will say this. There is no excuse for my typos. My spelling is chaotic, I am embarrassed by it. It cannot be defended – Georgette Mosbacher said in an interview with Marcin Makowski for "Do Rzeczy," the full version of which will be published next Monday.
- I am ashamed of it and cannot express it more directly than now. Ultimately, it is my responsibility – Mosbacher added.

„We are dealing with aggression against Ukrainian statehood, which is why this visit, planned for some time, takes on a different dimension, an international dimension. I am going primarily to express solidarity with the Ukrainian state in this difficult situation and, in a sense, as the first representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of an EU country, on behalf of a broader community of states. Ms. Federica Mogherini asked me to do this” – said Minister Jacek Czaputowicz before departing for Kyiv.

Just 3 days ago, the National Council of the Judiciary (KRS) submitted a motion to the Constitutional Tribunal (TK) seeking an examination of the constitutionality of certain provisions of the KRS Act, and the Tribunal has already scheduled a hearing for January 3, 2019. The TK will consider the case with a 5-judge panel: Julia Przyłębska - presiding judge, Grzegorz Jędrejek - rapporteur, Zbigniew Jędrzejewski, Michał Warciński, and Andrzej Zielonacki.
The motion is intended to counter arguments from the opposition and legal circles that the KRS was established unlawfully. It may also serve as an argument in relations with the EU. As we reported on 300POLITYCE, although PiS conceded on the Supreme Court, questions arise whether there will be an attempt through European institutions to reverse changes in the KRS and the Disciplinary Chamber.

300POLITYKA has seen the hall at ATM studio, where a major meeting with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki is scheduled to take place on Saturday at noon. The central and only decorative elements will be the flags of Poland and the European Union. As we learn, apart from the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers, including Beata Szydło, are also expected to speak. The Prime Minister's strategists have opted for the town hall format, known from American politics and in Poland from the final stage of Rafał Trzaskowski's winning campaign. During Saturday's meeting, invited representatives of various social groups are to pose questions to the Prime Minister.
"Unity brought victory in 2015, and without unity, victory in 2019 will not be possible. The party went into the elections then as one team, led by President Jarosław Kaczyński. At that time, personal ambitions did not matter; the result and the victory of the entire team mattered," says one of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki's closest associates in an interview with 300POLITYKA.
On Saturday at 12:00 PM, the town hall "Work for Poland" will take place at ATM Studio. As our interlocutors say, it is intended to show that "after three years of government, the current authorities are still close to the people, can speak honestly, and are not alienated from society." The aim is to demonstrate the Prime Minister's closeness – therefore, during the event, the head of government is to establish direct contact with people in the audience.
The conference is also intended to showcase and summarize what the government has managed to achieve in the last three years, but – as our interlocutors emphasize – not in a spirit of triumphalism. "Morawiecki has shown that open meetings, speeches in the Sejm, before a large audience are his element. His speeches show the strength from the local government campaign, during which he had nearly 200 meetings, 200 conversations with fellow citizens," notes one of his associates.
300's interlocutors also admit that the ruling party needs to find a new line of debate, to set the agenda for the election campaign, but in their opinion, it is too early for that, as there is no electoral atmosphere today, and Poles are more likely thinking about the holidays and their own problems than about a classic political dispute.

Lubnauer:
I have the impression that the Now! party is activating individual members in various places to create the impression of problems within Nowoczesna, preparing material titled: '40 People Are Leaving'
- The regional leader (Subcarpathian Voivodeship – ed.), who indeed wanted to leave for the Now! party, had not been collecting dues for a long time, so that one hundred and several dozen people would be struck off for non-payment of dues and to announce that these two hundred people are moving to the Now! party – said Katarzyna Lubnauer in an interview with Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".
- Do you know how many people left the West Pomeranian region? One. One, who wrote this letter about those 40. This has become a, let's call it, media fact. Several dozen people have left since May of this year, and some of them have joined the Now! party. Several dozen people, and they weren't our members, and one person who left. Therefore, I have the impression that the Now! party, in order to create an impression of problems within Nowoczesna, is activating individual members in various places to prepare material titled: well, here 40 people are leaving – Lubnauer added.
20:25
- We have the grounds to say that even if they don't want to, they are foolish enough to cause Polexit. Just as Cameron led to it in Great Britain - said Katarzyna Lubnauer in an interview with Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".
