The Presidential couple continues their official visit to Bulgaria. The Central Anti-Corruption Bureau (CBA) has detained a former minister. The news was reported by Radio ZET on Twitter. According to the radio station, the detained individual is the former Minister of Infrastructure and Development, Andrzej Adamczyk, who served in the Law and Justice (PiS) government. The CBA has confirmed the detention to Radio ZET, but has not yet provided details regarding the reasons for the arrest. Reports suggest that the investigation concerns alleged irregularities in the management of public funds during Chrzanowski's tenure. Further information is expected to be released as the investigation progresses.

"From the very beginning when this matter came to light, all state organs have been working very efficiently, and the [arrest of Chrzanowski] fits into the actions of the appropriate services appointed for this purpose. The Prime Minister reacted swiftly upon receiving information about the situation surrounding the KNF. This led to the rapid resignation of the head of the KNF. The Prime Minister tasked the relevant services. First, an acting head of the KNF was appointed, and in recent days, a new head. Today we hear about the arrest. All these facts are proof that the state functions efficiently and manages even in crisis situations," said the Head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, Michał Dworczyk, on Polish Radio's Program I.

„There undoubtedly had to be grounds for this arrest. It seems to me that we should wait for the trial to conclude before passing judgment in this matter. It is the prosecution, and then the court, that must assess Mr. Chrzanowski’s actual role in this entire affair. Only after the court's verdict will we be able to speak unequivocally about what actually happened,” said Minister Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Jedynka radio.  

„Minister Szczerski announced yesterday that we will advocate for strengthening sanctions against the Russian Federation. This is consistent with our ongoing efforts, namely our non-acceptance of Russian aggression against Ukraine. We cannot tolerate such actions. We see that Russia is constantly very active and has no intention of observing international law. The events in Ukraine show how crucial it is to care for Poland's security” - said Minister Michał Dworczyk on Radio Jedynka. 

“I am very pleased that there was an opportunity to discuss a common program and cooperation. I regret that the decisions of party leadership – of the PSL or other formations – prevented a broader dialogue, mainly at the level of local government officials. It is local government officials who should discuss what is good for their regions. These conversations were largely led by local government officials, local politicians. I am glad that I could support these actions, and thanks to this, PiS was indeed able to take responsibility for 8 voivodeships,” said the Head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, Michał Dworczyk, on the First Program of Polish Radio.

The President is there to safeguard the Constitution. The leader of the SLD and of every party is there to safeguard the principles within that party.
