Spychalski:

The President Cared About Two Issues in the Supreme Court Act: Extraordinary Appeal and Disciplinary Chamber. Both Remain. Decision on the Amendment Within 21 Days

As soon as a decision [on the amendment to the Supreme Court Act] is made, we will communicate that decision. Today, the situation is quite clear for us, the Presidential Palace. The ruling that was issued by the CJEU, to the extent that it concerned the President’s activities, focused on two matters: that the President should not appoint the IPSN and that the President did not appoint the IPSN. The second issue was related to the President not filling new positions with judges vacated by judges who retired due to the change in the Supreme Court Act. The President has not filled any such vacancy” – said Minister Błażej Spychalski in “Śniadanie w Polsat News”.

The President [in the Supreme Court Act] cared about two issues: the extraordinary appeal and the Disciplinary Chamber. Both remain. I will not predict what decision the President will make. This is a personal matter for the President” – he added.

Mucha on the Supreme Court Bill Amendment: Before the European Elections, PiS Must Present Itself as a Party Without Conflict with Europe

PiS is preparing for the upcoming elections. That is the one and only goal of this entire change [to the Supreme Court Act]. We are once again dealing with a mystification, with putting on a mask. Before the European elections, PiS must present itself as a party that is not in conflict with Europe. Numerous statements by PiS representatives show that this is a law that is being introduced now, but it can be withdrawn at any moment” - said Joanna Mucha from Civic Platform (PO) during „Śniadanie w Polsat News” (Breakfast on Polsat News).

Sasin:

No Retreat from Judicial Reform, Including the Supreme Court

We are retreating in relation to judges who were already in the Supreme Court, but these solutions remain relevant for all new judges entering the court. In no way are we talking about abandoning the judicial reform, including the Supreme Court. The issue of the Disciplinary Chamber in the court remains. The reform of the Supreme Court has also become a fact” - stated Minister Jacek Sasin on "Śniadanie w Polsat News" (Breakfast on Polsat News).

PM on Brexit: This agreement, which we will discuss today, reflects all the conditions Poland needs at this stage
Today, I hope, will be a very good chord, one of the final chords of the negotiations regarding the United Kingdom's withdrawal from the EU. This agreement, which we will discuss here today, reflects at this stage all the conditions and elements that are very important to Poland. We were very keen to ensure that this agreement appropriately addresses all the provisions we care about, both in terms of security, but especially also trade conditions and the rights of Polish citizens in Great Britain. But it is also extremely important for Poland how the United Kingdom's budget obligations are treated, and here, what should be emphasized, all Polish projects included within the EU budget are reflected in the United Kingdom's payment obligations until the end of this financial perspective, which is what we particularly cared about. Poland also wants to forge unprecedented conditions within the new agreement, and the seeds of such provisions are found in this agreement, which we will discuss today. It is clear that the United Kingdom's withdrawal from the EU creates a completely new perspective, but we are keen on the closest possible relations with Great Britain, both for security reasons, foreign policy, matters related to trade, investment cooperation, and the economy, and all these elements are maintained within this agreement - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in a conversation with journalists in Brussels.

PMM on the Brexit Agreement: Poles' Rights Secured. Poland Pleased with Agreed Terms

The rights of Poles are secured due, in part, to our bilateral agreements, but these bilateral agreements will be strengthened by this agreement between the EU and the United Kingdom. I hope this agreement will also be voted through in the British parliament. This agreement is a compromise. I am convinced that this is a good, healthy compromise that, in particular, reflects contemporary realities and our objectives, what Poland and other EU countries need. Poland is certainly very pleased at this stage of the withdrawal process with the terms that have been agreed upon” – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Brussels.

Spychalski:

The Foundations of Judicial Reform Are Being Implemented As Much As Possible

- The foundations of this [judicial] reform are being implemented as much as possible. The Disciplinary Chamber, the extraordinary appeal – these are things that interest us and interest people – stated Błażej Spychalski on TVN24's "Kawa na ławę" (Coffee on the Bench).

Neumann:

We Managed to Halt Part of the Reform. But We Still Have a KRS Elected Unconstitutionally and a Constitutional Tribunal Reduced to a Mockery
- We managed to halt part of the [judiciary] reform. After all, they haven't reversed everything. We still have the KRS, which, in our opinion, is an unconstitutional body, elected in an unconstitutional manner. We have a hijacked Constitutional Tribunal reduced to a mockery. So, in reality, nothing significant has happened - stated Sławomir Neumann on TVN24's "Kawa na ławę" (Coffee on the Table).

Neumann:

PiS Extends a Protective Umbrella Over Neo-Nazis

- I see [absolute logic]. The absolute logic of power. A protective umbrella over neo-Nazis, fascists, or neo-fascist or far-right national movements, which PiS has been extending since the beginning of its rule, allowing these brown-haired heads to rise higher and higher. That's the logic. It's not just a matter of the ABW raiding the TVN operator. In a moment, he will be the main defendant, along with the journalist who made the undercover material. Those from the 'Duma i Nowoczesność' (Pride and Modernity) association are not bad, only those who recorded it are bad. This is typical for PiS - stated Sławomir Neumann on TVN24's "Kawa na ławę" (Coffee on the Bench).

Czarnecki:

UEFA Once Removed a Referee Who Appeared in a Barcelona Jersey Weeks Before a Cup Match
- If any Mr. Kowalski or Mr. Nowak, during questioning by a high court, were asked something by the high court and responded: "Uh, I’m not going to answer that," they would receive a fine, or perhaps a warning first, and be forced to answer. However, here, the judge, who previously appeared in a "Constitution" jersey during Mr. Wałęsa’s testimony, said "okay" to Mr. Wałęsa’s refusal to answer. This is very concerning. A similar situation occurred before a cup match: a Norwegian referee was photographed in a Barcelona jersey a few weeks before a Barcelona match, and when UEFA found out he was a Barcelona supporter, from photos on social media, the referee was removed – said Ryszard Czarnecki in Woronicza 17 about the course of the Kaczyński-Wałęsa trial.

Apel:

I Stand on the Side of Decency; What Mr. Wałęsa Wrote Was Simply Indecent
- I stand on the side of decency; what Mr. Wałęsa wrote was simply indecent, regardless of whether one likes Wałęsa or Kaczyński - said Piotr Apel from Kukiz'15 in Woronicza 17.

Polish PM on Brexit Deal: Fully Meets Our Expectations, Covers All Aspects We Cared About

It was certainly a very good, groundbreaking day on this crucial matter for the European Union, which is the development of the terms of Great Britain's exit from the EU. This agreement, which we discussed today, first among the 27 states, then with Prime Minister May, fully meets our expectations. It covers all those aspects that were primarily important to us. It is also an expression of the pursuit of compromise, which Poland has always supported, of course” - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference in Brussels.

We have always strived to develop appropriate, creative, and flexible solutions so that this compromise could be achieved. And it has been achieved today. We are keeping our fingers crossed for the vote in the British parliament. It will be a very important vote. Within this agreement, we have guaranteed the rights of Polish citizens on the islands, rights which were an absolute condition for us from the perspective of the entire negotiation process. These rights are guaranteed not only by a bilateral agreement but also by a broader agreement” - he added.

PMM:

We Want Relations with the UK to be as Close as Possible

"We want relations with the United Kingdom to be as close as possible, because security, the security of our borders, internal security does not recognize the fact of the United Kingdom's departure from the European Union today. The risks and threats that existed before will remain. Therefore, the political declaration gives us a very good starting point to negotiate something more in the area of foreign policy, concerning security and cybersecurity, but also in the field of trade policy" - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference in Brussels.

PM on amendments to the Supreme Court Act: "Changes are perceived very positively by the European Commission, as a very constructive step on our part"

I had a conversation with Jean-Claude Juncker today. It was a very positive conversation, which confirmed from President Juncker's perspective that these changes we have implemented are perceived very well, positively, by the EC. They are seen as a constructive, very constructive step on our part. We also talked about matters related to other problems that the entire European Union is grappling with, but it is certainly worth noting, and emphasizing, that such a positive meeting took place” - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Brussels.

Modern Opposition MP: Kałuża Recommended by Secretary General's "Manual Control," Rosa. Conclusions Must Be Drawn. I Demand Szłapka's Resignation. Immediately

- We had an excellent candidate in Silesia, Mr. Bartłomiej Gabryś, who has been the secretary of Nowoczesna from the very beginning of the party. He was replaced by a traitor. The head should roll in Nowoczesna over Silesia. The Secretary General of Nowoczesna - stated Piotr Misiło in a conversation with Jacek Nizinkiewicz in "Rzeczpospolita".

- Ms. Kałuża was recommended, through the manual control of the Secretary General, by Monika Rosa. Conclusions must be drawn. I demand the resignation of Adam Szłapka. Immediately. In the fight against PiS, we can never again afford such schoolboy errors - added the MP from Nowoczesna, vice-chairman of the parliamentary club.

Prime Minister in a special video from Brussels: It's worth negotiating effectively and substantively. We have achieved the best possible compromise for Poland and Poles.
- This was a difficult process for us, but we had to guarantee the rights of Polish citizens living on the British Isles, and this has been fully achieved. And something that was extremely important to us – ensuring British funding for all EU projects currently underway in Poland and those that may still commence in the coming years, within the current budget perspective. We are returning to Poland with this good news. It's worth negotiating effectively and substantively. We have achieved the best possible compromise for Poland and Poles – said the Prime Minister in a special video recorded before his departure from Brussels.
