Most likely today, the Independence March association will file an appeal with the court against the decision by Mayor Gronkiewicz-Waltz to ban the Sunday demonstration. At 8:45 AM, the head of the Warsaw Office of Security and Crisis Management, Ewa Gawor, will hold her press conference on the gatherings planned for November 11th.
At 8:00 AM, President Andrzej Duda will visit the PGNiG headquarters. At 10:00 AM, a ceremonial session of the Warsaw City Council with the participation of Mayor Gronkiewicz-Waltz will take place to mark the centenary of independence. An hour later, at 11:00 AM, Minister Mariusz Błaszczak will present his ministry's initiatives on the occasion of the anniversary.
At 11:45 AM, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will meet with the U.S. Secretary of Energy, Rick Perry. At 3:00 PM, President Andrzej Duda will talk with Secretary Perry. A press conference after the meeting of the Polish and Czech Foreign Ministers is scheduled for 1:20 PM.
At 11:00 AM, the parliamentary committee for special services will – in a closed session – hear information on the results of the investigation and operational-recognition and analytical activities in the GetBack SA case. Materials will be presented by representatives of the Ministry of Justice and the Prosecutor General, ABW, and CBA.
At 12:00 PM, two parliamentary committees will consider a citizen's bill proposing the abolition of mandatory vaccinations. "We have accelerated the session on the act (...) in order to also conduct the second reading in the Sejm and reject this harmful bill on Friday. The decision is in the hands of the Marshal of the Sejm," wrote Bartosz Arłukowicz on Twitter.
At 2:30 PM, the parliamentary committee on regulations, deputies' affairs, and immunities will consider the request from the Head of the West Pomeranian Regional Branch of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Public Prosecutor's Office in Szczecin, dated June 24, 2018, for consent to bring criminal proceedings against MP Stanisław Gawłowski and to apply a precautionary measure in the form of temporary arrest.

- Nobody questions the merits of the environment that created and prepared this Independence March as a patriotic expression of celebrating November 11th. Despite the faces they tried to attach to this environment - said Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Piotr Gociek on "Sygnały Dnia" on Polish Radio Channel 1.
- Someone had to make a responsible, balanced, and prudent decision. This decision was made by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, after consultations between the President and the Prime Minister, by assigning the Ministry of National Defence the organization of the march, which will have the character of a state ceremony - Dworczyk added.
07:40
07:45
- At the beginning of the march, there will be military vehicles, several dozen military vehicles. Later, a ceremonial company, uniformed services, and then veterans, scouts, and all Poles who wish to participate in this march – informed Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Piotr Gociek on Polskie Radio Program 1's "Sygnały Dnia" (Signals of the Day).
07:55
- I don't think there's any kind of setup here [between the ruling camp and the Warsaw City Hall]. I am convinced that this decision by the President [Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz] regarding the dissolution of the march [on November 11th] is a decision driven by responsibility. I don't assume there's any element of political gamesmanship here. The stakes are the safety of Warsaw's residents - stated Paweł Rabiej in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".
- After reading the justification for this decision, I am absolutely deeply convinced that the President was guided by one thing - responsibility for the safety of Warsaw. Listening to and reading this justification, I am convinced she was right - he added. - A responsible president and mayor must have absolute certainty that there will be no riots. I'm not even talking about slogans, but about the fact that there will be no threat to safety and life - stated Rabiej.

Gliński:
We Know from Experience These Marches Were Used for Provocations, by HGW's Team Too
- We know from experience that these marches were indeed used, and by Gronkiewicz-Waltz's team at that, for various types of provocations. Don't you remember those masked individuals who were provoking? Her political option, PO with PSL were ruling Poland then. Don't you remember Budka and the testimonies? - stated Piotr Gliński in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.
- That is my opinion. If you believe it wasn't proven in court... The whole of Poland knows that those marches served as provocations by the authorities against their political opponents - added the Deputy Prime Minister.
08:31
- I am appealing to the organizers of the [Independence] march, because it must be acknowledged that they have been organizing these marches for many years and, consequently, they have some civil right to do so, not only civil, as the law on cyclical gatherings also speaks of this. I am appealing for a reasonable approach to this and for them to join the government march, because in Poland, state events still take precedence over others – stated Piotr Gliński in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.
08:31
Gronkiewicz-Waltz:
I didn't consult the decision with PO. I consulted with Trzaskowski, I informed him. He said yes.
"[The decision to ban the march] has nothing to do with the end of my term. I am responsible for security until November 16th and I am doing my job until the end. I did not consult the decision with PO. I consulted with Rafał Trzaskowski, I informed him. He said yes" - said the Mayor of Warsaw, Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, in an interview with Karolina Lewicka on Radio TOK FM's Morning program.

"These are real actions aimed at ensuring energy security. I want to emphasize, moreover, not only for Poland but also for Central Europe, because I believe that thanks to these two investments, it will be possible to bring such an amount of gas to Poland that we will be able to ensure this security not only for ourselves but also for our neighbors, if they consider it appropriate, if they are in need. I am extremely pleased that this agreement is being concluded precisely with a company from the United States. Poland very closely wants and cooperates with the United States in the field of security. Today, American military units are present on Polish soil. I am glad that this cooperation is also developing in the area of energy security. When I look at this, I can boldly say: this is exactly the true transatlantic partnership between Poland and the United States that President Lech Kaczyński dreamed of," said President Andrzej Duda during the signing of the gas supply agreement.
09:02
„We will do everything to prevent any provocations or excesses. The services will act very decisively. The police and other state institutions responsible for maintaining security. Prime Minister Morawiecki discussed the details yesterday with Ministers Brudziński and Błaszczak” – said Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin on Radio Trójka.
09:02
Gowin:
Poland's Image Must Not Suffer Due to Potential Provocations or Irresponsible Actions by Marginal Groups
„There will be enough [police forces]. If there is a need, they will be brought in from across the country, because Poland's image must not suffer as a result of potential provocations or irresponsible actions by marginal groups or individuals. One poster, one banner with racist or anti-Semitic slogans is enough. The world's media will show us as anti-Semites” - said Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin on Radio Trójka.

“I don't want to comment on this matter [November 12th]. With full awareness, I did not participate in either one vote or the other. For 20 years, I was an entrepreneur and every day I had to work very hard to pay salaries to people on the 1st of every month, for whom I felt morally and legally co-responsible, my colleagues. I believe that entrepreneurs were put in an unenviable position by this decision. As a former entrepreneur, out of solidarity with their situation, I did not participate in the vote. For me, it was not the right decision” - said Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin on Radio Trójka.

Czaputowicz:
We Evaluate Merkel's Role Positively, as a Stabilizer of the Political Situation in Europe
- It is difficult for me to comment on the political processes in other countries, but I am glad that these consultations took place, and they concluded successfully. We, the foreign ministers, adopted a joint declaration where we outlined paths and areas for future cooperation. We want to strengthen our relations - said Jacek Czaputowicz in an interview with wPolsce.pl.
- The political process is ongoing there, a reassessment is happening on the German political scene, which is a result of elections in individual federal states. We will see what the final decisions will be. However, we evaluate Angela Merkel's role positively, as a stabilizer of the political situation in Europe, and we emphasize this – Czaputowicz added.
11:11
- It was a poor statement. I see no threat of Polexit, nor any will here on the part of the authorities or political forces, none of the forces represented in parliament, to bring about Poland's exit from the European Union. It's a slogan that serves to criticize Poland. It portrays something that doesn't exist, namely this anti-European sentiment within the Polish political class that is currently in power - said Jacek Czaputowicz in an interview with wPolsce.pl.
11:12
Budka:
Tusk Would Be the United Opposition's Best Presidential Candidate
- Donald Tusk undoubtedly knows how to win. He is a world-class leader, and if he so wishes, in my assessment, he would be the united opposition's best presidential candidate. From the right to the left, there are voices saying he could effectively confront a rather weak President Andrzej Duda. It would be a clash of a world-class politician with a person who has not come close to such a format – stated Borys Budka in an interview with Marek Kacprzak on WP's program "Tłit".
11:26
Ziobro:
Prosecution Indicts for Four Judicial Murders, European Arrest Warrant Issued for Judge Stefan Michnik
- The prosecution has gathered evidence and brought charges including the commission of four killings, judicial murders. This concerns the judge, Mr. Stefan Michnik, and the prosecution has not only effectively brought these charges but has also obtained a temporary arrest warrant from the court and a decision from an independent court for a European Arrest Warrant, the purpose of which is to bring to the country, bring before a court, and hold accountable for his crimes that Stalinist judge – informed Zbigniew Ziobro at a press conference.

Szydło:
Some probably think I'll get scared now and sit quietly. I won't, I won't be scared. I ask for this order to be withdrawn.

- The role of ensuring security [on November 11th] will be performed by the Polish police. This is the task of the Polish police. I was the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration for two years. I know that the Polish police is an efficient formation, it will cope excellently, just as it did last year, two years ago. It will cope excellently with ensuring security. Of course, it is important to lower the emotions that accompany the march, which is why I invite everyone to join us in marching together in a white-and-red march, exclusively under white-and-red flags. Let us commemorate, let us honour the holiday of regaining independence - stated Mariusz Błaszczak at a briefing.
13:49
„Regardless of convictions and political views, let us meet on November 11, 2018, at 3:00 PM at the Roman Dmowski Roundabout in Warsaw for the State March on the 100th Anniversary of Regaining Independence and march together for the glory of the Independent Poland!” - wrote Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in his appeal.
„The march will be an opportunity to show that we can celebrate independence with dignity” - the Prime Minister added.

Two parliamentary committees have recommended rejecting a citizen's bill that would abolish mandatory vaccinations. As reported by Bartosz Arłukowicz, a letter has been sent to the Marshal of the Sejm requesting the bill be introduced for its second reading in the Sejm as early as today. This would allow for a vote on its rejection during tomorrow morning's session.

Mazurek:
Our Decision is That Vaccinations Will Be Mandatory. Nothing Will Change on This Matter
- We said that we would not reject citizens' bills in the first reading. Today was an opportunity to listen to experts. However, our decision is that vaccinations will be mandatory. Nothing will change on this matter. We are not working on new solutions - stated Beata Mazurek at a briefing in the Sejm.
14:43
- I would like to publicly ask if TVN paid for the organization of this report, and if the people publicizing this topic, while manipulating the facts, were aware of the damage they are causing to Poland and Poles. Who made the decisions to air this program, and most importantly, why was this program broadcast after seven months, at a time when we were experiencing a crisis in Polish-Israeli relations, and what is TVN's position today, as these shocking facts come to light. These questions are all the more justified because today Minister Ziobro also confirmed that there is a thread concerning the organizer receiving 20,000 PLN, and that the condition for receiving this money was the participation of a certain lady in this entire undertaking, who turned out to be a TVN journalist - stated Beata Mazurek at a press briefing in the Sejm, referring to today's publication on wPolityce.pl.

The parliamentary Rules Committee has given a positive opinion on the request to lift the immunity of Civic Platform (PO) MP Stanisław Gawłowski, and to authorize his temporary arrest.
The Szczecin prosecutor's office intends to bring two further charges against Gawłowski: money laundering and corruption.

- First and foremost, a huge mess was made. Please note that literally minutes after Mayor Gronkiewicz-Waltz announced her decision, there was an immediate decision from national circles that they would march anyway. If Mayor Gronkiewicz-Waltz's decision is upheld, then we are dealing with an illegal event, and the only thing the Polish state can do is send law enforcement forces to prevent this march. So, we have guaranteed riots, and it is obvious they will occur. We absolutely did not consider such a situation with the Prime Minister, and we said 'enough,' we are taking this risk upon ourselves. We are taking this responsibility upon ourselves, meaning the state authorities – said Andrzej Duda on TV Trwam and Radio Maryja.
19:05
- I had a concept that the march should form in a 'starburst' pattern, that the president would announce his march, the Prime Minister his march from the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, the Speakers of the Sejm and Senate would announce their marches. We would walk together, meet at Rondo de Gaulle’a, in this starburst fashion, meeting with the march organized by the Independence March association - said Andrzej Duda on TV Trwam and Radio Maryja.
- Unfortunately, there was no such agreement from the community organizing the Independence March. The response was no, the President can walk in our march – added the President.
19:09
19:40
- I am willing to shake hands with anyone who comes to the march with a white-and-red flag (...) I am very pleased by the declaration that Paweł Kukiz will attend the march. I hope other politicians will also come - stated President Andrzej Duda on Telewizja Trwam and Radio Maryja.
19:46
The administrative court has overturned the ban on organizing the Independence March, issued by Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, the former Mayor of Warsaw. This decision means that the event can proceed. The ban was previously in place due to security concerns.
The Independence March, held annually on November 11th, Poland's Independence Day, has often been a focal point of nationalistic sentiment. While for many it is a celebration of Polish sovereignty, it has also been associated with far-right groups and instances of violence and xenophobia, leading to public debate and controversy over its organization and permitted scope.
The court's ruling is expected to be met with mixed reactions. Supporters of the march will likely see it as a victory for freedom of assembly, while critics will express concern over potential public order disturbances. Authorities will now need to focus on ensuring the safety and security of participants and the general public during the event.
19:47
- It is untrue that someone is trying to blackmail someone. However, the fact that law enforcement services are preparing to ensure this march proceeds peacefully and to guarantee the safety of all its participants is something obvious and there is nothing extraordinary about it – said Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program “Wydarzenie i Opinie” on Polsat News.

300POLITYKA has seen an invitation extended to Polish and Ukrainian politicians, artists, and businesspeople for a privately organized celebration of the 100th anniversary of Polish independence. The invitation comes from Sławomir Nowak, head of Ukravtodor, the Ukrainian state road agency, and Remigiusz Paszkiewicz, vice-president of Ukrainian Railways, formerly president of PKP PLK.
Leading Ukrainian politicians, including the Ukrainian Minister of Infrastructure, MPs, and Polish-Ukrainian business representatives are expected to participate. The building of the Kyiv National Theatre will be illuminated in the colors of the Polish national flag, and following a concert of Fryderyk Chopin's music, a toast is planned for the freedom and independence of both nations: Polish and Ukrainian.
20:17
- I cannot comment on the court's decision, which I learned about upon entering this studio. I didn't anticipate it, as court decisions can vary greatly. Therefore, we are now dealing with a situation that needs to be analyzed from a legal perspective, while from an organizational standpoint, nothing changes. At the time the decision about the march was overturned, a decision was made that the march would take place, bearing the character of a state ceremony. An appropriate notification or information has been sent to the Warsaw City Hall, and this state march is being prepared. I believe everyone will join it - stated Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Monika Olejnik on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" (Dot on the i), when asked about the court's decision regarding the Independence March.
20:26
“There were no legal grounds [to ban the organization of the Independence March]. It was obvious. It was a kind of hysteria. It was known that the court should revoke it, and we expected that. Regardless, the November 11th march will be a state march, organized by state authorities, and I am very happy about that,” said Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Gliński on “Gość Wiadomości” on TVP Info.
20:28
Gliński:
The political camp associated with Gronkiewicz-Waltz is behind the provocations during marches when our predecessors were in power
21:33
On Friday at 9:30 AM, a voting block will commence, during which a motion to reject the citizen's bill proposing the abolition of mandatory protective vaccinations will be voted upon. Earlier, parliamentary committees recommended the rejection of the so-called anti-vaccination law. Following Beata Mazurek's words, it is practically certain that the bill will be rejected.
22:11
- The agreement we signed today is the best agreement that could have been negotiated, while also understanding all of the government's arguments. It is not perfect. I wish it were better. Nevertheless, as of today, I consider it a milestone step in the relations between the social side and the Minister, the Ministry of Interior and Administration. I believe that today we have begun this true and real dialogue - informed the Chairman of the Main Board of the Police Union, Rafał Jankowski.
- I do not recall a moment when the social side signed such a beneficial agreement for thousands of Polish officers - he added. - I inform everyone that on behalf of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uniformed Services, we are ending the protest action today - informed Jankowski.
- I want to thank the social side very much for their readiness for dialogue, for discussions, for this final outcome, which is the signing of this agreement, but I also want to thank them for the readiness expressed during our many hours of dialogue today, that this is not just a return to work, to ensuring the safety of the excellently trained officers of various uniformed services present here, but it is also an appeal to all those who, for various reasons, considered different steps during this protest, to return to their duties as soon as possible, because it is not work, to engage in their service - said Joachim Brudziński.
- The most efficient Minister of Interior, ready for dialogue and discussions, would have achieved nothing, would have done nothing, if he did not have the goodwill, readiness, and openness on his side to implement the just demands of the female and male officers of the uniformed services, if this goodwill and readiness for genuinely changing the face of the uniformed services were not present on the Prime Minister's side. In particular, I would like to thank Prime Minister Morawiecki - added the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration. Brudziński also thanked Minister Czerwińska.
- As part of the agreement reached, from January 1, 2019, officers of services subordinate to the Ministry of Interior and Administration will receive a raise of 655 PLN gross. Another raise of 500 PLN gross will occur from January 1, 2020. The Ministry of Interior and Administration has committed to waiving the requirement of completing 55 years of age when retiring. Officers will also have the right to fully paid overtime hours - informed the Ministry of Interior and Administration.
