At 3:30 PM, the Sejm will also consider the draft bill on the Solidarity Support Fund for Disabled Persons. At 3:00 PM, Finance Minister Teresa Czerwińska will present information at a finance committee meeting on the actions taken by state bodies to clarify the so-called Getback affair. The agenda also includes information on securing GetBack's assets, as well as identifying the list of bondholders who suffered losses as a result of GetBack's activities.

At 5:00 PM, two Sejm committees will issue opinions on the motion to appoint an Ombudsman for Children. The sole candidate, nominated by PiS, is Agnieszka Dudzińska.

President Andrzej Duda will attend the funeral of Admiral Józef Unrug and his wife Zofia in Gdynia. The Holy Mass will begin at 10:00 AM, and the funeral at 12:50 PM. Earlier, at 8:00 AM, PAD will meet with the 2018 Volleyball World Champions at the Presidential Palace.

WKK:

PM is a very weak prime minister. We've never had a prime minister who lied so much

- Unfortunately, [Mateusz Morawiecki] is a very weak prime minister. We have never had a prime minister who lied so much. We've had various ones, better, worse. Some went to children's parties, others probably didn't make all the right decisions, but it's hard to find such a weak, such a deceitful politician, and a prime minister - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

07:49

WKK:

We Also Drew Lessons from What Happened in 2015

- We also drew lessons from what happened in 2015, when the slogan "Poland in ruins" seemed very impossible and abstract to us, that it could be repeated and later yield such abundant results, and now we will not allow any such babbling, nonsense, and lies - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

07:51

WKK:

Morawiecki Behaves Like a Tourist Visiting the Polish Countryside

It pains me that Morawiecki is behaving like a tourist who has gone to the Polish countryside. Thank God the chairman sent him to a barn first, for a press conference, so he saw what that barn looks like – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Piasecki's Interview".

WKK on Talks with Schetyna: We Are Not Close to an Agreement. Local Elections Will Provide the First Reliable Polls

- Of course, the [local] elections will set the starting position for the parliamentary elections. The better the PSL's result, the better our position will be for the parliamentary elections. We will have the first reliable poll in 3 years. I know how polls turned out for Theresa May, who was supposed to win the election with the biggest majority in history, and it ended as it did, and she has to look for coalition partners - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

- We are not close to reaching an agreement [with the Civic Coalition and Grzegorz Schetyna]. The fact that we are talking to each other does not mean we are reaching any understandings in this regard. There are no discussions. There will be none before the local elections, because they will provide the first reliable poll - added the PSL leader. - We are going our own way in the political center. Some have turned sharply to the right, Platforma has moved more to the left, and the PSL has remained in the political center - he stated.

Brudziński on Uniformed Services Protest: 'It's Not Wonderful, Not Great, and Not Rich.' I Considered and Still Consider Many of the Demands Presented by the Social Side to Be Justified.

It's not wonderful, it's not great, and it's not rich. I considered and still consider many of the demands presented by the social side to be justified. As for the protest itself – I will not allow, and I mean political competitors, to pit the head of the [Internal Affairs and Administration] ministry against the officers” – said Minister Joachim Brudziński on Polskie Radio Jedynka.

08:26

Sienkiewicz:

It's a constant return to the question of who controls the tapes, who ordered their recording, and I don't feel we are close to the truth

- Not now, because it seems this information was much earlier. We haven't had a chance to meet [with Mateusz Morawiecki at Sowa i Przyjaciele] - stated Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz in a conversation with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet. He added:

"I deeply sympathize with the Prime Minister, because I know how unpleasant it is and what the costs are. I hope that in the interest of both Poland and the Prime Minister, this matter will be clarified as quickly as possible. From what I have familiarized myself with these materials, they are information extracted from court documents, but the tape itself is missing. It's a constant return to the question of who controls these tapes, who managed them, who ordered their recording, and frankly, I don't have the impression that we are close to the truth, despite the court's verdict."

- From the Prime Minister's perspective, this is a dangerous and uncomfortable situation. I wish the Prime Minister a swift clarification of this matter and I hope it can be resolved. Sooner or later - said Sienkiewicz.

08:30

Sienkiewicz:

The Tapes Scandal Was Swept Under the Rug. We Don't Know If the True Masterminds Were Convicted

- From the course of not even the scandal itself, but a series of facts that subsequently came to light or were revealed by journalists from various media outlets, both right-wing and liberal, a rather disturbing picture emerges, which I took the liberty of summarizing in my book 'The Theoretical State.' I am unable to assess the veracity of these facts, but I know one thing: this scandal was swept under the rug. This means we are not certain whether the true masterminds of this procedure, this crime, were convicted or not. We will have to return to this someday. I hope before independent courts - stated Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

- There is no certainty who else [was involved in this procedure]. The data that has appeared publicly over the last 4 years shows a rather dangerous picture, also from the perspective of the state. It is difficult not to notice the increase in people from the Wrocław CBA [Central Anticorruption Bureau] with numerous ties to PiS [Law and Justice party], who were evidently protecting this procedure - he added.

08:40

Sienkiewicz on Uniformed Services Protest: 'I Understand the Demands, Especially Regarding Salary Increases'

- I understand these demands, especially when it comes to salary increases. What's there to say, we have this image: Poland is a land flowing with milk and honey, where there is finally enormous money allocated to people. This is the official government narrative. Meanwhile, the reality for many social groups has changed little or not at all - stated Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

- Police officers are struggling financially. They struggled when I was in office, they struggled under my predecessors. Of course, [I couldn't do anything about it either], I am not the one who controls the budget - he added. As the former head of the Ministry of Interior emphasized, he hopes that Minister Brudziński will be able to reach a real agreement with the trade unionists, who had been rooting for the current team and were extremely supportive.

08:45

Sienkiewicz:

Błaszczak left an almost bloody mark on the Ministry of Interior, concerning the destabilization of services and what happened next

- [Mariusz Błaszczak] left, I don't hesitate to say, left an almost bloody mark on the Ministry of Interior, concerning the destabilization of services and what happened there afterwards - stated Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

Nowacka on Giertych's Words: I'm Not Looking for Friends in Politics, Only Effectiveness

- I'm not looking for friends in politics, I'm looking for effectiveness in politics. We differ diametrically in our views. Roman Giertych is not in the local government elections and not in the Senate elections. This trivialization, that someone could befriend someone, is simply childish. We are not in politics to have friends - stated Barbara Nowacka in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News' "Polityczne Graffiti", when asked about Roman Giertych's words that he could become friends with her.

08:58

Nowacka on Schetyna's Words: 'I Will Do Everything to Persuade Them to Change Their Minds'
I will do everything to persuade them to change their minds. Only a change of mind and a real discussion on women's rights will be possible when the rule of law is restored – stated Barbara Nowacka in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News' "Polityczne Graffiti," when asked about Grzegorz Schetyna's remarks regarding abortion proposals.

09:08

Petru on Schetyna's Social Proposals: I Was Surprised There Was No Counter from Nowoczesna

To my utter surprise [Grzegorz Schetyna] said there should be a thirteenth pension, that the retirement age would not be raised, and that 500+ should be for the first child. I was surprised that there was no counter from Nowoczesna. There can be a counter within a coalition partner, because a coalition relies on different groups having one goal – winning elections – but having different programs” – said Ryszard Petru on TVP1's "Political Quarter Hour".

PiS Releases New Campaign Spot:

Empty Promises of the Civic Platform.

The increase in retirement age is the subject of a new clip that PiS has published on social media. The spot uses recent words from Grzegorz Schetyna, who announced there would be no return to the higher retirement age, and also recalls how PO and PSL politicians justified the increase in this age after the 2011 elections.

Sejm to Address Motion to Dismiss Zalewska This Evening

This evening, after 9 PM, the Sejm will address the opposition's motion to express a vote of no confidence in Anna Zalewska – 300POLITYKA has learned. This item was added to the schedule today. Yesterday, the parliamentary committee on education, science, and youth issued a negative opinion on the motion. The vote on the motion may occur either tomorrow morning or on Thursday, during a longer session block.

10:02

Kornel Morawiecki: I asked Czaputowicz for a meeting, and we will meet. I want him to explain why Polish-Russian relations are lacking.
"I asked Minister Czaputowicz for a meeting, and we will meet. He agreed to such a meeting. Among other things [regarding Polish-Russian relations], I would like him to explain why these relations are lacking. I think we might meet after the local government elections. Now is a busy time," said Kornel Morawiecki from WiS in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

10:03

Kornel Morawiecki: I Don't Know Who the First President of the Supreme Court Is
"I don't want to answer the question [who is the First President of the Supreme Court]. I don't know the answer. In this whole uproar, because it is an uproar between the judiciary, between the judicial and legislative and executive branches, there is an unnecessary 'who-beats-whom' element, an element of struggle" - said Kornel Morawiecki of WiS on Radio Plus in conversation with Jacek Prusinowski.

Changes to the Sejm Schedule: Shorter October Session, Additional Session in November

The next Sejm session this month, scheduled for October 23-26, will be shortened by two days, meaning it will begin on Tuesday, October 23, and conclude a day later, on Wednesday, October 24.

Concurrently, as 300POLITYKA has learned, an additional Sejm session will be scheduled for November 8-9. In turn, the session planned for November 13-16 will be moved to November 21-23.

In other words, the Sejm will convene twice in November – after the local government election campaign – instead of once as planned. The second October session, held just after the first round of local government elections, will last two days instead of four. In total, therefore, there will be two sessions in each of the remaining months of the year.

Mazurek Questions Civic Platform on Retirement Age and 500+ Program

- I am asking Civic Platform: do you truly lack the civil courage to honestly tell Poles what you will do about the retirement age, about the 500+ program, whether you are actually capable of making empty promises during every election, be it local, parliamentary, or European Parliament elections. Do you not have the capacity for civil courage, only for the constant repetition of lies, deceiving Poles solely to maintain power in local governments? - stated Beata Mazurek at a briefing in the Sejm.

10:20

Mazurek:

There Is No Radom Arrangement
I want to clearly and unequivocally emphasize once again what Minister Adamczyk said yesterday. There is no Radom arrangement. The decision regarding the S12 road, which we have all been talking about for several days, is to be made in the second half of 2020. If anyone today believes that the decision has been made and it is different, then show your cards. Show me that decision. Stop lying, stirring up trouble, and attacking us again. Let's talk about the concrete problems of Poles, about proposals. We, as PiS, are focusing on presenting our offer. Our concrete solutions that will be good for Poles and their small homelands. On the other hand, Civic Platform and the entire total opposition are focusing solely on insinuations, slander, and lies. We do not want such a campaign – stated Beata Mazurek at a briefing in the Sejm.

10:30

Mazurek:

Cards on the Table. If You Have Tapes, Show Them. If Not, Stop Insulting
- This is a rehashed issue [the tape recordings] from years ago. I'll say this: cards on the table. If you have tapes, show them. And if you don't have tapes, then stop insinuating - stated Beata Mazurek at a briefing in the Sejm. - Today, they are attacking a person who is one of the faces of the PiS campaign, which is well-run, well-received, and a person who enjoys considerable support. Why are they attacking him? Because he is strong, and one always attacks the strongest. I say: cards on the table. If you have anything, show it - added the PiS spokesperson.

10:51

Jaki:

The More People Participate in Elections, the Stronger the State

- The more people participate in voting, the stronger the state will be. That is why we want a strong Poland, we register to vote, and we will vote in the upcoming local elections. I would like to thank the Ministry of Digital Affairs for making this possibility available online and I warmly encourage everyone to use it. However, because we care about broad social participation, I will say this: for those who will not be able to use the digital service, I will today launch a campaign to promote the possibility of registering to vote also in an analog form - stated Patryk Jaki at a press conference with Marek Zagórski. - We are very keen, regardless of who you vote for, on participating in elections. The more people participate in elections, the stronger the state is - he added.

11:46

Trzaskowski Wants to Participate in Debate. PO Announces Another Meeting for 12:00 PM

- Today, another meeting regarding this matter [the debate] is planned for 12:00 PM. Jarosław Szostakowski will attend this meeting. We emphasize what Rafał Trzaskowski, the initiator of these meetings, has said. Trzaskowski wants to participate in a debate of all candidates and hopes that such a debate will take place. From the very beginning, Trzaskowski has stated that he would like the conditions of this debate to be equal for all candidates. We wanted this debate to take place in a neutral location. The suggestion of some candidates, as well as the television station, is for the debate to be held at the TVP headquarters. This is a very difficult condition, because for a long time in Poland, and since the beginning of the local government campaign, we have had the impression that TVP is part of Patryk Jaki's election campaign team. However, since we were the ones who called for a debate, we want the debate to happen, because we deeply believe, and Rafał Trzaskowski believes, that such a debate is something that Warsaw residents are waiting for and have the right to. We will accept the conditions of the debate's location, but under one condition: that the terms of this debate are precisely written down - stated Marcin Kierwiński at a briefing in the Sejm.

11:57

Kierwiński Asked About Trzaskowski's Participation in Legia and 300POLITYKA Debate: "We Are Constantly Discussing This. An Answer Will Come Soon."

- We are constantly discussing this, including with Rafał Trzaskowski. I think you will soon have an answer to this question - stated Marcin Kierwiński at a briefing in the Sejm, when asked if Rafał Trzaskowski would participate in tomorrow's debate between Legia and 300POLITYKA.

12:40

Another Meeting of Warsaw Presidential Candidates' Staffs Underway Regarding Organization of a Joint Debate Before the First Round

The campaign teams of candidates vying for the presidency of Warsaw are currently in another meeting to discuss the organization of a joint debate before the first round of elections. The meeting aims to coordinate logistics and content for the debate, ensuring a fair and informative platform for all candidates to present their platforms and engage with voters.

13:37

Trzaskowski Presents His Program:

We Need to Talk Seriously About Warsaw

- I am very happy to be able to present the Civic Coalition's program in the place where I grew up and went to school. Because it was here, nearby in Nowe Miasto, that I spent most of my life, and I can tell you a few words about the program we have prepared. The most important thing is one: Warsaw for everyone. This is the motto of this campaign, the program credo. This is incredibly important. Regardless of where someone was born, their age, financial situation, political views, sexual orientation, everyone who lives and exists in Warsaw is a Varsovian. We have prepared this program for them. Above all, through conversations with them, with the women and men of Warsaw. This is incredibly important; the whole team worked on it, but this program grows from the women and men of Warsaw, it responds to their aspirations. We would like Warsaw, the city most important to me, to be able to develop in line with the aspirations of its residents - stated Rafał Trzaskowski at the conference. He added:

"Most importantly, if we want to talk about Warsaw, and everyone tells me this on the streets of my city, we need to talk seriously about Warsaw. Campaign tricks and PowerPoint presentations are not enough. You need a serious program for a serious discussion, and that is the program we are presenting today, in which we address most of the issues raised by Varsovians themselves. The capital of better communication, we are talking about the entire plan on how to prioritize and develop communication, not only metro but also tram lines, SKM, and conveniences for drivers. It is incredibly important for this system to function as a bloodstream. Another issue is, of course, care for seniors, an incredibly important matter, and we have many proposals here, both for active seniors and for those who unfortunately are struggling in life. Last week I was with seniors at the Senior Olympics, the Senior Parliament, and the Seniorada. We talked about the proposals that are in this program."

He continued:
"Of course, education, an incredibly important matter, especially for the women and men of Warsaw right now, when the PiS government has plunged us into unbelievable chaos. We want education in Warsaw to be at the highest possible European level. We will also equalize opportunities, subsidize additional classes for children so that Varsovians have the best possible education. That's not all. Let's also talk about spatial planning, about culture, which is particularly important to me. About a sporting Warsaw, about air quality, about health-related issues, because this is one of the matters that Varsovians talk to me about very often on the streets. We want Varsovians to be healthier. We will focus on prevention, organize additional duty hours in clinics, but most importantly, city clinics will be open on weekends and holidays. The section 'Solidarity Warsaw' is very important. Warsaw, as the richest city in Poland, can afford to take care of all those who need help the most."

13:59

Kwieciński to Jaki: We Will Cooperate on Expanding Warsaw's Metro Network

- Warsaw needs a third and fourth metro line. This is our most important project, and it will be very similar to the 500+ program. Civic Platform said it couldn't be done; they've been promising metro to Białołęka for a long time, since 2006. What turned out to be true? They said there was no money for 500+, but we kept our word. It will be the same when it comes to building the 3rd and 4th metro lines. If I become the Mayor of Warsaw, I will immediately start the design and construction. I will simply do it. They can say whatever they want. This will be my most important project. I will simply do it, and I am very glad that I also have government support, from Minister Kwieciński - stated Patryk Jaki at the press conference.

- As a PiS government, we have shown that we can secure support for such large investments, crucial investments not only for Warsaw but also for Poland, because everyone comes to Warsaw from all over Poland. The fact that we started building the metro in Warsaw so late meant that Warsaw was lagging behind other European capitals in terms of transport infrastructure and public transport. In 2006, when there was a new government, and it turned out that the project for building the first metro line did not have financial guarantees from a special program, we, as the Ministry of Development, ensured support for the metro construction project from the operational program funds. At that time, the money was found for the construction of the first metro line. I would also like to say that it was then that Prime Minister Kaczyński's government placed the construction of the second metro line as a priority project for the 2007-2013 perspective. So, this second metro line was built as a result of a project decision regarding the financing of the second metro line by the PiS government. Now, the further expansion of the second line is happening right now. The relevant agreements were signed by my colleagues in 2016, and I must assure you, Patryk, that we will cooperate on expanding Warsaw's metro network - said Jerzy Kwieciński. He emphasized that such an investment should have government support and will have it in the next financial perspective.

Schetyna:

We're Showing How Poorly the NFZ and Hospitals Cooperate

We are here to show how poorly cooperation functions between the National Health Fund (NFZ) and hospital units. We discussed the difficult situation of healthcare in Mazovia, but also matters like the closure of a hospital oncology ward due to the lack of a contract with the NFZ. There are many such places, many such issues, and that is why we want to address them” - said PO (Civic Platform) leader, Grzegorz Schetyna.

Similar to yesterday, when representatives of the health committee, PO MPs, were in Przemyśl, where they visited striking nurses. There too, the heartlessness of the authorities and the lack of basic reflection mean that a hunger strike has lasted for 30 days, and there is no real support or dialogue from the regional authorities” - he added.

14 Candidates, 6 Questions, 90 Minutes of Discussion: Campaign Teams Agree on Organization of Joint Debate for Warsaw Mayoral Candidates
“We have concluded negotiations regarding the organization of the Warsaw debate. 14 committees have signed the conditions in the form we proposed. This is the fulfillment of Mr. Rafał Trzaskowski’s invitation to organize a debate. The debate will be organized by three television stations: TVN, TVP, and Polsat. TVP will be the producer. In our opinion, TVP does not guarantee sufficient credibility in conducting this debate, which is why it was very important for us to meticulously draft the conditions of this debate and for them to be accepted by the politicians, which has also happened today,” said Jarosław Szostakowski, Rafał Trzaskowski’s representative, after another meeting of the campaign teams. “The debate will take place on October 12th at Woronicza at 8:30 PM. It will last up to 90 minutes. Three journalists, representing the three main television stations, will ask questions. These will not be individuals who host current affairs programs on these channels. Each candidate will answer 6 questions. For each question, they will have 45 seconds, and additionally, they will have 30 seconds for an open response – in the form of a retort or a summary of the entire debate,” he added. https://twitter.com/rochkowalski/status/1047086100597153792

14:44

PMM:

On August 1st, we promised a law regarding the graves of our soldiers. Today, on the anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising's end, we report the law is ready.
On August 1st, we promised a law concerning the graves, the resting places of our soldiers, insurgents, all those who fought for independence and freedom. Today, on this day that marks the end of the Warsaw Uprising, we want to tell, to report to our soldiers, our heroes, that this law is ready. It was adopted today by the Council of Ministers and it secures funds for the purpose of searching, inventorying, and caring for the graves of our ancestors” - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

The dates we have set in this law are the year 1768, when the First Polish Republic was nearing its collapse, and 1963, when the last cursed soldier died. Over these years, in many uprisings, battles, and wars, our ancestors fought for independence and freedom in various places around the world, and this law mandates the search for these graves and resting places so that the memory of them builds the future” - he added.

Grabiec Files Criminal Complaint: EU-Funded Event Witnessed Clear Manipulation and Election Campaigning by Błaszczak

- During an event funded by the European Union, from the operational program concerning fisheries. During an event branded by the Ministry of National Defence and the Polish Army, an event also co-organized by the Military Gendarmerie, there was clear manipulation, there was election campaigning conducted by Minister Mariusz Błaszczak – stated Jan Grabiec at a press conference.

- We are dealing with an event funded by the European Union, an event patronized by the Ministry of National Defence, which is co-organized by soldiers. Meanwhile, in its content, we are dealing with a regular election rally of the PiS party and the presentation of a PiS candidate for mayor. This is an unprecedented scandal – continued the PO politician.

- Therefore, today I will file a complaint with the District Prosecutor's Office, on suspicion of committing a crime, consisting of violating the provisions of the Electoral Code, as well as the Penal Code. It cannot be the case that the authorities, by violating regulations, conduct an election campaign. At the expense of voters and funded by the European Union – Grabiec added.

The statement in question is by Mariusz Błaszczak from September 22 in Legionowo, during which, according to PO politicians, he allegedly supported Andrzej Kalinowski.

Wouldn't it be more transparent if Onet ran its own list for the Sejm?

The Deputy Prime Minister is referring to Onet's publication of a recorded conversation with Mateusz Morawiecki.

Dworczyk on Tapes Published by Onet: This Should Be Treated as Part of a Dirty Campaign

- Primarily, it is difficult to say that what Onet published is the revelation of some conversation. To put it colloquially, it's a 'reheated cutlet.' These are conversations, or rather a conversation, that has been known for three years, has been described and commented on by various journalists and various media outlets. Today, it's hard to resist the impression that in the context of the Prime Minister's and the government's very good trust ratings, very good assessments, as shown by the latest polls, and the Prime Minister's diligence and activity, the opposition and media unfavorable to the government, lacking other ideas, for example, substantive proposals that could be presented during the campaign, are resorting to a dirty campaign. This is how it should be treated, as an element of a dirty campaign in the local government elections - said Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Edyta Hołdyńska on wPolityce.pl.

19:24

Schetyna:

I am convinced that the electoral clash with the Prime Minister will end in court
He lost the lawsuit against us. Because he is indeed active, he talks a lot, not always thoughtfully. Now it's a bit better, because he was instructed by the court, he had to issue a correction. The campaign has its own tempo, and I can also travel during the week; it's harder for the Prime Minister because he has government duties. We do clash indeed, at conventions, meetings, opinions, assessments, and I am convinced that this clash, including the electoral one, will end as it did in court - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News's "Wydarzenia i opinie" (Events and Opinions), when asked about a poll according to which Mateusz Morawiecki is the most active politician in the local government campaign.

19:25

Schetyna:

I Sleep Worse in Warsaw Than in Wrocław
I sleep worse in Warsaw than in Wrocław. I'm here in Warsaw more often. I sleep 5.5 hours - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News' "Wydarzenia i opinie" (Events and Opinions).

19:34

Schetyna:

For the First Time in Free Poland, a Prime Minister Lost a Lawsuit Because He Lied. We Proved It.
We won the lawsuit against the Prime Minister of this government. For the first time in free Poland, in the last 29 years, meaning since 1989, or perhaps in the entire history of Poland, a Prime Minister has lost a lawsuit because he lied. We proved this to him - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News' "Wydarzenia i opinie" (Events and Opinions). - I am involved in pure politics, not PR. I state very clearly and directly: you cannot lie in politics. Especially the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland does not have such a right. If he lies, he must apologize - added the head of PO.

19:39

Schetyna:

The decision to raise the retirement age influenced the 2015 elections, and we must draw conclusions from it

- Today, we will not be raising the retirement age. I have stated this very clearly. I will not change [my mind]. I am a pragmatist in politics. Indeed, that decision influenced the 2015 elections, and we must draw conclusions from it - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News' "Events and Opinions".

19:45

Schetyna on the PMM tape: It seems to me it's to cover up the Radom affair
- When I look at the Radom affair, what PiS MPs are doing, how they are carrying out the route of the road so that – to put it bluntly – colleagues or friends profit from it, and suddenly a tape appears… In reality, it is a tape of the recorded Prime Minister. It seems to me that it is to cover up that matter [the Radom affair] – stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News' "Wydarzenia i opinie" (Events and Opinions). When asked if he thought PiS politicians suggested releasing this tape to cover up the Radom affair, the Civic Platform chairman replied that he "thinks so." Schetyna also emphasized that this topic is not being covered by the media today and he doesn't understand why, as in a normal situation everyone would be talking about it.

Kwaśniewski on the Tapes Affair: Back then it was done in PiS's interest, and today PiS is slowly becoming a victim of the same thing

- I believe that these tapes were a scandal due to the recording, publication, violation of privacy, and the case even reached court from my lawsuit, where I remember that the then-Presidential Spokesperson, Mr. Magierowski, appeared as an expert for the weekly magazine 'Do Rzeczy' and explained that it was, of course, justified to publish such tapes because it served the public interest, etc. Today, it turns out that these tapes are simply double-edged. I believe that the conduct from the very beginning of the tapes affair encouraged everyone else to use illegal methods, meaning illegal wiretapping of people, and now we have the consequences. Only then it was done in PiS's interest, and today PiS is slowly becoming a victim of the same thing – stated Aleksander Kwaśniewski in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News's "Wydarzenia i opinie" (Events and Opinions). According to the former president, it was orchestrated by some people well-oriented in politics, connected with the services, but – as he emphasized – there is no evidence for this.

Sienkiewicz:

The Truth Is, If All of Polish Politics is Built on Tapes and Reckonings, Soon There Won't Be Brick Upon Brick Left in Poland

- There was such a case, quite unusual, that, I don't remember which of the tapes it concerned, but at one point a tape appeared that was not in the possession of the prosecution. As if it appeared in public circulation from a completely different source. This means that they will still play a role. The truth is, if all of Polish politics is built on tapes and on these reckonings, then in some time there won't be a brick left upon a brick in Poland, because this is a situation where we are missing a mass of key stories for our future and for what is happening - said Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz in an interview with Monika Olejnik on the program "Kropka nad i" on TVN24.

Brudziński on the Radom Scandal: It's Nothing New That PO and TVN Announce Revelations Against PiS. When They Lack Substance, They Sell Smoke

The final decision on the route of the [S12] road will only be made after 2020. The fact that Civic Platform and TVN are announcing various revelations against Law and Justice, one would like to say: nothing new. When they lack specifics, they sell smoke. There’s as much of a scandal here as there is a cat’s tear. Minister Suski has announced lawsuits in this matter” – said the Minister of the Interior and Administration, Joachim Brudziński, on TVP Info regarding the so-called Radom scandal.

Sienkiewicz on Pension Cuts for Security Services: 'This is Inhumane and Stupid Law'

- I meet such officers, formerly of the Border Guard, and they often approach me and say: Sir, why am I a beggar now, when I worked as a secretary, here and there, here as a guard - Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz said in a conversation with Monika Olejnik on the TVN24 program “Kropka nad i”.

- This is an inhumane and stupid law. Made solely for ideological purposes. It is a manifestation of the fight against communism, 30 years after communism disappeared from Poland. This stupidity is glaring and must be fixed someday, because it is simply a shame for the Polish state - Sienkiewicz added.

Brudziński on Tapes Scandal: A Concentrated and Brutal Attack from Polish-Language Stations Owned by Our Western Neighbors
Indeed, it's a reheated cutlet. These transcripts have been appearing in public discourse for a long time. I can only repeat that such a concentrated and brutal attack, which we are witnessing from Polish-language stations owned by our western neighbors, directed at the Polish Prime Minister, is the best proof that all the actions that have been taken and will be taken by the PiS government – actions resulting in the fact that hundreds of billions of zlotys that have been flowing out of Poland for decades are now staying in Poland – are causing such fury,” Minister Joachim Brudziński stated on TVP Info’s “Gość Wiadomości”.

PMM:

Minister Zalewska Truly Deserves a Medal for Her Accomplishments
- Minister Anna Zalewska truly deserves a medal for what she has done. First and foremost, I will begin with civilization-defining, major projects that are significant for our economic development. Namely, this is broadband internet. She deserves great thanks, because within the next year and a half to two years, we will spend PLN 4 billion on connecting all primary and secondary schools to broadband internet - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in the Sejm, during the consideration of the motion to dismiss Anna Zalewska. - The second civilizational project that Zalewska is implementing is the project of vocational and technical schools, which are being created and re-established in partnership with entrepreneurs - he continued.

- In 2007, Prime Minister Tusk announced the education voucher, which was supposed to be a solution and serve parents in making good choices for their children's education. What happened? 8 years passed, and there was no education voucher. Meanwhile, Minister Zalewska, together with our government, announced the 'Dobry Start' (Good Start) ' wyprawka' (starter pack) in April, and after 5 months, the starter pack has been implemented - stated PMM.

Morawiecki:

15 Billion PLN in VAT Revenue in One Month Due to Anti-Evasion Measures

- What you did, and what we are effectively reversing, is your anti-family policy, which we have reversed and introduced a pro-family policy. Your policy of selling off national assets, our national treasures, various enterprises. We are repolonizing, buying back these enterprises for the Polish state. Your policy of indulgence and allowing gigantic, the largest in Poland's history, tax leaks within VAT. I have a message here for you. Excellent news for Polish society. After September, as a result of further anti-evasion measures, this frenzy that now grips our opponents, 15 billion PLN flowed into the budget – in just one month – from VAT revenue – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in the Sejm, during the consideration of the motion to dismiss Anna Zalewska.
