The 69th Sejm session will commence at 10:00 AM. At 12:00 PM, MPs will address the government's draft bill on the Local Roads Fund. The government will convene at 11:00 AM. The agenda includes 9 points, among them a draft resolution on the establishment of the multi-year government program "Meal at School and Home" for the years 2019-2023. – It pains me that Morawiecki is behaving like a tourist who has gone to the Polish countryside. - Of course, the [local] elections will set the starting position for the parliamentary elections. The better the PSL's result, the better our position will be for the parliamentary elections. - We are not close to reaching an agreement [with the Civic Coalition and Grzegorz Schetyna]. The fact that we are talking to each other does not mean we are reaching any understandings in this regard. There are no discussions. There will be none before the local elections, because they will provide the first reliable poll - added the PSL leader. - We are going our own way in the political center. Some have turned sharply to the right, Platforma has moved more to the left, and the PSL has remained in the political center - he stated.

„It's not wonderful, it's not great, and it's not rich. I considered and still consider many of the demands presented by the social side to be justified. As for the protest itself – I will not allow, and I mean political competitors, to pit the head of the [Internal Affairs and Administration] ministry against the officers” – said Minister Joachim Brudziński on Polskie Radio Jedynka.

I hope that in the interest of both Poland and the Prime Minister, this matter will be clarified as quickly as possible. It's a constant return to the question of who controls these tapes, who managed them, who ordered their recording, and frankly, I don't have the impression that we are close to the truth, despite the court's verdict."

- From the Prime Minister's perspective, this is a dangerous and uncomfortable situation. I wish the Prime Minister a swift clarification of this matter and I hope it can be resolved. Sooner or later - said Sienkiewicz.

- From the course of not even the scandal itself, but a series of facts that subsequently came to light or were revealed by journalists from various media outlets, both right-wing and liberal, a rather disturbing picture emerges, which I took the liberty of summarizing in my book 'The Theoretical State.' I am unable to assess the veracity of these facts, but I know one thing: this scandal was swept under the rug. This means we are not certain whether the true masterminds of this procedure, this crime, were convicted or not. We will have to return to this someday. I hope before independent courts - stated Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

- There is no certainty who else [was involved in this procedure]. The data that has appeared publicly over the last 4 years shows a rather dangerous picture, also from the perspective of the state. It is difficult not to notice the increase in people from the Wrocław CBA [Central Anticorruption Bureau] with numerous ties to PiS [Law and Justice party], who were evidently protecting this procedure - he added.

- I understand these demands, especially when it comes to salary increases. What's there to say, we have this image: Poland is a land flowing with milk and honey, where there is finally enormous money allocated to people. This is the official government narrative. Meanwhile, the reality for many social groups has changed little or not at all - stated Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

- Police officers are struggling financially. They struggled when I was in office, they struggled under my predecessors. Of course, [I couldn't do anything about it either], I am not the one who controls the budget - he added. As the former head of the Ministry of Interior emphasized, he hopes that Minister Brudziński will be able to reach a real agreement with the trade unionists, who had been rooting for the current team and were extremely supportive.

This evening, after 9 PM, the Sejm will address the opposition's motion to express a vote of no confidence in Anna Zalewska – 300POLITYKA has learned. This item was added to the schedule today. Yesterday, the parliamentary committee on education, science, and youth issued a negative opinion on the motion. The vote on the motion may occur either tomorrow morning or on Thursday, during a longer session block.

"I asked Minister Czaputowicz for a meeting, and we will meet. He agreed to such a meeting. Among other things [regarding Polish-Russian relations], I would like him to explain why these relations are lacking. I think we might meet after the local government elections. Now is a busy time," said Kornel Morawiecki from WiS in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

"I don't want to answer the question [who is the First President of the Supreme Court]. I don't know the answer. In this whole uproar, because it is an uproar between the judiciary, between the judicial and legislative and executive branches, there is an unnecessary 'who-beats-whom' element, an element of struggle" - said Kornel Morawiecki of WiS on Radio Plus in conversation with Jacek Prusinowski.

The next Sejm session this month, scheduled for October 23-26, will be shortened by two days, meaning it will begin on Tuesday, October 23, and conclude a day later, on Wednesday, October 24.

Concurrently, as 300POLITYKA has learned, an additional Sejm session will be scheduled for November 8-9. In turn, the session planned for November 13-16 will be moved to November 21-23.

In other words, the Sejm will convene twice in November – after the local government election campaign – instead of once as planned. The second October session, held just after the first round of local government elections, will last two days instead of four. In total, therefore, there will be two sessions in each of the remaining months of the year.

- I am asking Civic Platform: do you truly lack the civil courage to honestly tell Poles what you will do about the retirement age, about the 500+ program, whether you are actually capable of making empty promises during every election, be it local, parliamentary, or European Parliament elections. Do you not have the capacity for civil courage, only for the constant repetition of lies, deceiving Poles solely to maintain power in local governments? - stated Beata Mazurek at a briefing in the Sejm.

I want to clearly and unequivocally emphasize once again what Minister Adamczyk said yesterday. There is no Radom arrangement. The decision regarding the S12 road, which we have all been talking about for several days, is to be made in the second half of 2020. From the very beginning, Trzaskowski has stated that he would like the conditions of this debate to be equal for all candidates. We wanted this debate to take place in a neutral location. The campaign teams of candidates vying for the presidency of Warsaw are currently in another meeting to discuss the organization of a joint debate before the first round of elections. The meeting aims to coordinate logistics and content for the debate, ensuring a fair and informative platform for all candidates to present their platforms and engage with voters.

- I am very happy to be able to present the Civic Coalition's program in the place where I grew up and went to school. Because it was here, nearby in Nowe Miasto, that I spent most of my life, and I can tell you a few words about the program we have prepared. The most important thing is one: Warsaw for everyone. This is the motto of this campaign, the program credo. This is incredibly important. Regardless of where someone was born, their age, financial situation, political views, sexual orientation, everyone who lives and exists in Warsaw is a Varsovian. We have prepared this program for them. Above all, through conversations with them, with the women and men of Warsaw. This is incredibly important; the whole team worked on it, but this program grows from the women and men of Warsaw, it responds to their aspirations. We want education in Warsaw to be at the highest possible European level. We will also equalize opportunities, subsidize additional classes for children so that Varsovians have the best possible education. That's not all. Let's also talk about spatial planning, about culture, which is particularly important to me. About a sporting Warsaw, about air quality, about health-related issues, because this is one of the matters that Varsovians talk to me about very often on the streets. We want Varsovians to be healthier. We will focus on prevention, organize additional duty hours in clinics, but most importantly, city clinics will be open on weekends and holidays. The section 'Solidarity Warsaw' is very important. Warsaw, as the richest city in Poland, can afford to take care of all those who need help the most."

- Warsaw needs a third and fourth metro line. This is our most important project, and it will be very similar to the 500+ program. Civic Platform said it couldn't be done; they've been promising metro to Białołęka for a long time, since 2006. What turned out to be true? They said there was no money for 500+, but we kept our word. It will be the same when it comes to building the 3rd and 4th metro lines. If I become the Mayor of Warsaw, I will immediately start the design and construction. I will simply do it. They can say whatever they want. This will be my most important project. I will simply do it, and I am very glad that I also have government support, from Minister Kwieciński - stated Patryk Jaki at the press conference.

- As a PiS government, we have shown that we can secure support for such large investments, crucial investments not only for Warsaw but also for Poland, because everyone comes to Warsaw from all over Poland. The fact that we started building the metro in Warsaw so late meant that Warsaw was lagging behind other European capitals in terms of transport infrastructure and public transport. In 2006, when there was a new government, and it turned out that the project for building the first metro line did not have financial guarantees from a special program, we, as the Ministry of Development, ensured support for the metro construction project from the operational program funds. At that time, the money was found for the construction of the first metro line. I would also like to say that it was then that Prime Minister Kaczyński's government placed the construction of the second metro line as a priority project for the 2007-2013 perspective. So, this second metro line was built as a result of a project decision regarding the financing of the second metro line by the PiS government. Now, the further expansion of the second line is happening right now. The relevant agreements were signed by my colleagues in 2016, and I must assure you, Patryk, that we will cooperate on expanding Warsaw's metro network - said Jerzy Kwieciński. He emphasized that such an investment should have government support and will have it in the next financial perspective.

„We are here to show how poorly cooperation functions between the National Health Fund (NFZ) and hospital units. We discussed the difficult situation of healthcare in Mazovia, but also matters like the closure of a hospital oncology ward due to the lack of a contract with the NFZ. There are many such places, many such issues, and that is why we want to address them” - said PO (Civic Platform) leader, Grzegorz Schetyna.

„Similar to yesterday, when representatives of the health committee, PO MPs, were in Przemyśl, where they visited striking nurses. On August 1st, we promised a law concerning the graves, the resting places of our soldiers, insurgents, all those who fought for independence and freedom. Today, on this day that marks the end of the Warsaw Uprising, we want to tell, to report to our soldiers, our heroes, that this law is ready. It was adopted today by the Council of Ministers and it secures funds for the purpose of searching, inventorying, and caring for the graves of our ancestors” - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

“The dates we have set in this law are the year 1768, when the First Polish Republic was nearing its collapse, and 1963, when the last cursed soldier died. Over these years, in many uprisings, battles, and wars, our ancestors fought for independence and freedom in various places around the world, and this law mandates the search for these graves and resting places so that the memory of them builds the future” - he added.

- During an event funded by the European Union, from the operational program concerning fisheries. During an event branded by the Ministry of National Defence and the Polish Army, an event also co-organized by the Military Gendarmerie, there was clear manipulation, there was election campaigning conducted by Minister Mariusz Błaszczak – stated Jan Grabiec at a press conference.

- We are dealing with an event funded by the European Union, an event patronized by the Ministry of National Defence, which is co-organized by soldiers. Meanwhile, in its content, we are dealing with a regular election rally of the PiS party and the presentation of a PiS candidate for mayor. This is an unprecedented scandal – continued the PO politician.

- Therefore, today I will file a complaint with the District Prosecutor's Office, on suspicion of committing a crime, consisting of violating the provisions of the Electoral Code, as well as the Penal Code. We won the lawsuit against the Prime Minister of this government. For the first time in free Poland, in the last 29 years, meaning since 1989, or perhaps in the entire history of Poland, a Prime Minister has lost a lawsuit because he lied. - I believe that these tapes were a scandal due to the recording, publication, violation of privacy, and the case even reached court from my lawsuit, where I remember that the then-Presidential Spokesperson, Mr. Magierowski, appeared as an expert for the weekly magazine 'Do Rzeczy' and explained that it was, of course, justified to publish such tapes because it served the public interest, etc. Today, it turns out that these tapes are simply double-edged. I believe that the conduct from the very beginning of the tapes affair encouraged everyone else to use illegal methods, meaning illegal wiretapping of people, and now we have the consequences. Only then it was done in PiS's interest, and today PiS is slowly becoming a victim of the same thing – stated Aleksander Kwaśniewski in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News's "Wydarzenia i opinie" (Events and Opinions). According to the former president, it was orchestrated by some people well-oriented in politics, connected with the services, but – as he emphasized – there is no evidence for this.

- There was such a case, quite unusual, that, I don't remember which of the tapes it concerned, but at one point a tape appeared that was not in the possession of the prosecution. As if it appeared in public circulation from a completely different source. This means that they will still play a role. The truth is, if all of Polish politics is built on tapes and on these reckonings, then in some time there won't be a brick left upon a brick in Poland, because this is a situation where we are missing a mass of key stories for our future and for what is happening - said Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz in an interview with Monika Olejnik on the program "Kropka nad i" on TVN24.

„The final decision on the route of the [S12] road will only be made after 2020.
