Thursday marks the second day of the informal summit of European Union leaders on migration and Brexit in Salzburg. Poland is represented by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. A working session of the summit is scheduled for 9:30 AM. At 1:00 PM, politicians will discuss over a working breakfast hosted by the Chancellor of Austria and the President of the European Council.

The Civic Coalition's candidate for the Mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski, will meet with residents of Żoliborz at 5:00 PM as part of the "18 Districts - One Warsaw" campaign. At 4:30 PM, SLD candidate Andrzej Rozenek will discuss with trade unionists. An hour earlier, the official registration of the SLD candidate will take place. The Minister of Justice, Zbigniew Ziobro, has presented a draft for a comprehensive reform of the Code of Civil Procedure. As the ministry informs, "the changes are intended to ensure that Poles have the opportunity to pursue their rights quickly and effectively, fair proceedings, and just verdicts".

"The reform introduces a series of revolutionary solutions aimed at resolving a significant portion of cases during the first hearing. It shortens citizens' path to courts – cases are generally to be heard near their place of residence. It limits the possibility of sabotaging proceedings through the submission of continuous appeals. It also guarantees the objectivity of proceedings by automatically disqualifying judges and entire courts in situations where their impartiality may be questioned," the Ministry of Justice announced in a statement.

"The goal is to resolve cases, where possible, especially minor ones, during the first hearing. If this is not possible, we want these cases to be resolved through rapid, intensive procedural action in court, rather than dragging on for years, as is happening today. This is one of the objectives of these changes, to bring courts closer to the people," Minister Ziobro argued.

This coming Saturday at 4:00 PM, the PiS convention in Warsaw will take place at the Palladium Theatre, with the participation of Patryk Jaki, Jarosław Kaczyński, and Mateusz Morawiecki. Jacek Saryusz-Wolski is also scheduled to speak.

In principle, that's exactly what we're aiming for. We will be expanding this type of facility. Finally, the third point is the construction of the Żoliborz Cultural Center.
