European commissioners are to decide today on a potential complaint against Poland to the Court of Justice of the European Union. The document is reportedly ready, and politicians will officially decide whether to send it to the CJEU and, if so, when.

A concert featuring Patryk Jaki, the United Right's candidate for Mayor of Warsaw, will take place in Warsaw's Szmulowizna. This is the result of a collaboration between Jaki and rapper HCR. It starts at Kijowska Street at 17:00. Earlier, at 11:30, a press conference by the PiS candidate will be held, followed by a press conference from the election campaign staff at 12:15.

Leaders of the Civic Coalition will visit Silesia. In Katowice, a Shadow Cabinet meeting of the Civic Platform will be held, dedicated to the use of European Funds and energy policy. Press conferences in Katowice are scheduled for 11:45 and 14:15. Further conferences will be held in Bytom at 15:30, Rybnik at 17:00, and Sosnowiec at 18:30. Today, a court must also rule on an election lawsuit filed yesterday by the Civic Platform against Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. The case concerns the Prime Minister's statement about the number of kilometers of roads and bridges built during the PO-PSL coalition's governance.

Today also marks the start of an EU summit on security and migration. EU heads of state and government will hold a two-day informal meeting in Salzburg, Austria. Poland will be represented by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

- I don't think they feel loyal [towards the Minister of Justice], because a judge who felt loyal towards this or that political grouping shouldn't be a judge at all. Because one of the qualities a judge must possess is independence, freedom from all pressures, and being apolitical - added the presidential minister.

- This comparison, of course, favors President Przyłębska. Judge Rzepliński is an active politician who has temporarily donned the robes – stated Paweł Mucha in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

- This is an ongoing process [regarding new Supreme Court judges]. It is progressing as the resolutions of the National Judicial Council (KRS) become final. Some have arrived, others will arrive. There will be presidential decisions, and the president has no deadline here. It is not a deadline set by statute or the Constitution. These are serious decisions, resolutions. „I hope Polish authorities will comply with the ECJ ruling. I can't quite imagine [them not complying]. In a sense, it is a form of opting out of the European Union, because you either respect the principles that apply within it, or you don't. And it will certainly have an impact on Poland's image within the EU, the image of the Polish judiciary. It will weigh on whether our rulings are respected and honored, or not” - said the spokesperson for the Supreme Court, Judge Michał Laskowski, on Radio Zet.

"This is very important. It doesn't directly translate into finances or the execution of judgments, but it is crucially important for our image. It's terribly bad for our image, because it means that some judges from these countries have concluded that something is wrong in Poland. It's not the case that these are uninformed individuals, as the government claims, or that Polish judges have such enormous influence that it's enough for them to call a few colleagues in different countries and sort it out," said Judge Michał Laskowski about the suspension of the KRS (National Council of the Judiciary) in the European network on Radio Zet.

- The campaign for the president, who is seeking re-election, should have already begun. I still have a problem with this presidency, in that I don't see how President Andrzej Duda intends to build his political position. The District Court in Warsaw has dismissed the lawsuit filed by the Civic Platform (PO) against Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. The lawsuit concerned statements made by the Prime Minister regarding the "mafia" of former communist officials. The court ruled that the Prime Minister's statements did not constitute defamation and that he had the right to express his opinion.

- They do not want to allow, and they are very afraid of, us entering the city hall and seeing the invoices that are buried there. I am telling you, the reprivatization scandal is just the tip of the iceberg when we get in there – said Jaki.

"I would like to introduce a Youth Cultural Voucher in Szczecin. PLN 50 per month for every student from the age of 16 for theatre performances, festivals, alternative culture, but also for cinema, though only at Pionier [local cinema, not a chain - editorial note], for books, but only in our local bookstores, to support creators, to interest young people in culture" - says Nitras in a new, 30-second spot.
