At 8:30 AM, Rafał Trzaskowski, the Civic Coalition's candidate for Mayor of Warsaw, will present the "We Support Families" program at a press conference.

At 11:00 AM, Marek Jakubiak will present his ideas for municipal housing, and Jacek Wojciechowicz at 11:30 AM will present proposals regarding communication and transport.

Patryk Jaki, the United Right candidate, will first appear at a press conference at 7:50 AM, and then – as part of the #100imyPodBlokiem (#100YearsUnderTheBlock) campaign – he will meet with Wilanów residents (from 5:00 PM).

At 2:30 PM, the parliamentary investigative committee for VAT fraud will convene for another session. Today, behind closed doors, MPs will undergo training on access to classified information and will be able to submit their first evidentiary motions.

- This is the Civic Platform's program from 2006. This is how they won in Warsaw. They promised that by 2014 they would build 38 new metro stations. Two terms. It was supposed to be 38 new metro stations. Not two, but three terms have passed, and how many have they built? 12. And you know what's funniest? More than a decade has passed, and my esteemed opponent is promising exactly the same thing that Civic Platform promised in 2006. It's high time to stop making jokes out of Warsaw residents. In 2006, they promised something they would do in two terms. Three terms have passed, they haven't even done half of it, and today they are promising the same thing. Enough of these lies - stated Patryk Jaki at a press conference. He emphasized that PiS is acting differently and has kept its word regarding 500+ or lowering the retirement age, and it will be the same with the metro.

- A typical example of a storm in a teacup that arose after the Prime Minister Gowin's statement. A statement in which there was absolutely nothing extraordinary. We could have listened for the last two or three days about Poland leaving the European Union - said Michał Dworczyk in a conversation with Beata Michniewicz on "Trójka's Political Salon".

- Did Mateusz Morawiecki reprimand his deputy? - Michniewicz pressed.

- I don't have that knowledge. However, I would be so surprised that there was no reason to reprimand anyone on this matter, because Prime Minister Gowin stated certain facts. He expressed hope that important bodies of the European Union will act in accordance with the law - Dworczyk added.

The Sejm will convene in two weeks after a more than month-long break. The initially planned 4-day session, which was set to begin on September 11th and last until September 14th, is to be shortened by one day, thus commencing on September 12th.

„I think that Law and Justice has little chance of regaining big cities. Polls show it. It might even turn out that they will suffer losses. I am convinced that these will be very interesting elections. I look with interest and great hope at Wrocław” - said the leader of Nowoczesna, Katarzyna Lubnauer, on the program „Kwadrans polityczny” on TVP1.

"It was a package deal: the [amendment to the] IPN law for a meeting. I saw what happened with the IPN law, when it was amended in the Sejm within a single day, in a completely absurd procedure that should never have taken place. This was done in order to backtrack on what was known to be building diplomatic conflict with Israel and the United States, and for there to be a reward in the form of a meeting at the White House" – Katarzyna Lubnauer said on TVP1.

"I spoke about the need to build the metro before Patryk Jaki was even announced as a candidate. Patryk Jaki announces his program, drawing lines with his finger on the map, without understanding the needs of Warsaw residents. After all, PiS ruled Warsaw, and only 2 metro stations were built then. Warsaw residents see how the metro has developed, they know how difficult these investments were, and how the metro has accelerated now. We want to accelerate it even further," said Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference.

“Today’s committee meeting will be closed-door, a working session. A preliminary analysis of the material, including that which is publicly available, currently allows for the identification and preliminary indication of roughly 10 threads that the committee should address. The first, obvious thread of work is to estimate the amount of losses due to poor VAT collection in the years 2007-2015” - said Marcin Horała, the chairman of the parliamentary committee investigating VAT fraud, at a press conference in the Sejm.

“We need to estimate the economic effect of the additional benefits that these 230 billion [złoty] would have brought to the budget. We need to estimate the losses of state-owned companies and, finally, the losses of private entrepreneurs who had to compete in the market from a losing position against criminal groups profiting from VAT fraud” - he added.

- We want to propose a concept to start immediately with systemic, general solutions. We don't have much time, hence the first witnesses will immediately speak about those who were responsible for systemic matters. We want to summon Professor Modzelewski, who is a tax expert, but also an active participant in various discussions, meetings, and contracts with the Ministry of Finance and other services - stated Marcin Horała at a briefing in the Sejm.

The second witness the committee plans to summon is Jan Vincent Rostowski. The committee also wants to summon former ministers of justice who were also attorneys general. These include Zbigniew Ćwiąkalski and Andrzej Czuma. Andrzej Seremet is also to be summoned.

- During the Convention of Seniors, which will concern the upcoming session agenda for September, we will submit a motion to expand the agenda point, to add a point that concerns explanations from the Prime Minister regarding all dismissed cases by the prosecutor's office involving politicians of Law and Justice, who were suspected or in relation to whom there are ambiguities, on issues such as the PCK scandal in Wrocław, this Radom scandal described in detail today, the KPP issue [Krajowa Policja Publiczna - a placeholder for a potential misspelling or abbreviation, context suggests a political/public sphere issue], the Warsaw issue, and all other places where PiS politicians might have counted on impunity due to their political activities and prosecutorial intervention. These scandals cannot remain unexplained. We demand detailed explanations from the Prime Minister. I hope that this letter will be supported by all opposition clubs at today's Convention of Seniors - said Andrzej Halicki at a press conference in the Sejm.

- It is interesting whether Jarosław Kaczyński was questioned as a witness in this matter. The same applies to Marek Suski, who, I would remind you, is one of the most important politicians in the Morawiecki government. Marek Suski, the head of the structures and the person who issued certificates of honesty or dishonesty for some PiS politicians. This is a bizarre and scandalous situation. Today, Jarosław Kaczyński, and we demand this of him, must speak out publicly on this issue, because a very serious shadow has fallen upon his person in the context of the Radom scandal. We also imagine that the investigation into this matter will be reopened very quickly – said Mariusz Witczak at a press conference.

- There is no such thing as selecting judges for a specific case, let alone influencing verdicts, so all I can say in response to this question is that I would like an independent court to indeed deliver an appropriate verdict in this case [of Władysław Frasyniuk], and I have nothing further to add. It was during the time of our predecessors that a situation occurred where a judge from Gdańsk, on the phone with a journalist from Warsaw, suggested that he would select a reliable person for one of the key cases at that time. We have eliminated such possibilities by implementing random case distribution. It is no longer the court president who decides; instead, we have enhanced the independence, impartiality, and objectivity of the judiciary by implementing the principle of random case distribution - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

“The first term, which will now last 5 years, is entirely allocated in the budget for the completion of the second metro line to Chrzanów and Bródno. All the funds designated for this purpose have already been contracted, and there is no more money. By 2023, considering that Warsaw must implement schools, kindergartens, and other investments, there is practically no financial capacity to commence work related to the construction of another metro line. During this period, one can think about the design of the third line and the design of those metro sections that, from a logical perspective, could be extended in the next term, namely Ursus and Zielona Białołęka. Warsaw can afford this, and can afford to, after the design in the first term, think about commencing the construction of the so-called third metro line, i.e., National Stadium - Gocław. This is something that, with good management and good city revenues, can be realized within two terms” - said Jacek Wojciechowicz, a candidate for the mayor of Warsaw, at a press conference.

Wojciechowicz also proposes further new tram line sections and the construction of P&R parking lots.

„PiS, through Minister Zalewska, has been destroying and dismantling what we managed to achieve with Polish schools, namely building a kind of community that school should be. In 2017, Totalizator Sportowy recorded its highest ever revenue for the state budget. These record results were the outcome of increased sales in the cash lottery and numerical games categories. However, groundbreaking changes to the Gambling Act meant that this year, and several subsequent ones, would go down in the company's history and that of the entire Polish gaming market.

Totalizator Sportowy is no longer just about cash lotteries and numerical games; it also encompasses slot machine arcades, an online casino, and the sale of previously mentioned products. Entering new business areas and sales channels will not be possible without acquiring qualified specialists with unique competencies. The numerical games and cash lotteries sectors also require continuous improvement and development.

The amendment to the Gambling Act signifies historic changes not only for Totalizator Sportowy but also for the entire industry associated with the so-called gaming market. According to information from the World Lottery Association, never before in history has a company fulfilling the state monopoly in the gaming sphere undertaken so many new and technologically complex projects simultaneously.

Last year was primarily marked by the introduction of the Eurojackpot game, which was made available to players at a rapid pace – in September, just six months after the amended Gambling Act came into effect. The game was very well received, evidenced by Poland securing a high fourth place in the sales volume ranking among 18 participating European countries.

At the end of June, a pilot program for slot machine arcades was launched to gather information on the solutions customers expect. Arcades are already operational in Bydgoszcz, Krzeszowice, Warsaw, and Białystok. By the end of 2018, approximately 50 more locations are planned, featuring at least 1200 machines. Ultimately, within 4-5 years, around 38,000 machines are expected to enter the market.

Notably, not everyone will be able to play on these machines. Players wishing to play must register, filling out a form that requires their first name, surname, PESEL number, date and place of birth, and residential address. As part of the responsible gaming regulations, players are obliged to set limits on their game activity and financial spending. Customer age is also verified.

In the third and fourth quarters of the current year, Totalizator Sportowy intends to launch an online casino and sell numerical games online and through mobile channels. In this regard, we can also speak of a true revolution and the application of the latest technological innovations. These areas represent the company's entry into the e-commerce segment, a company that, as an organizer of numerical games and cash lotteries, sells an average of even several million numerical game coupons on any given day without high jackpots. The procedure for selecting an online casino concluded at the end of February. Playtech, one of the world's leading providers of such products, was chosen. Totalizator Sportowy aims to pursue a direction of multi-channel commerce development, known as omnichannel retail, which involves integrating virtual and traditional purchases. It is worth noting that since February 1st, players at the company's own outlets, i.e., at LOTTO points belonging to Totalizator Sportowy, can pay for LOTTO products by card. This service is currently available in over 1320 points, comprising 870 owned outlets and 450 partner network points.

Preparations for these initiatives began back in 2017. The company conducted research and development work and acquired competencies within new business areas. These are multi-faceted projects requiring innovative solutions. Therefore, not only their implementation but also their subsequent maintenance presents a challenge for the company.

Totalizator Sportowy intends to create its own technological solutions in the form of applications and software. The company is building high-demand competencies, including in the development of such complex projects as casino games or gaming platforms. The company also plans to actively engage in the start-up environment, for example, in partnership with gaming market start-ups, which is closely linked to Totalizator Sportowy's development in the gaming market.

- Today, I am submitting several requests for evidence. Firstly, it's the story from about 2 years ago, when party leader Jarosław Kaczyński intervened in the case of someone convicted of VAT fraud, and as a consequence of this intervention, this convicted individual was released 16 months before the end of their sentence - stated Zbigniew Konwiński at a press conference in the Sejm titled "Is PiS Protecting VAT Fraudsters? - We Demand Access to Documents".

- Secondly, a few weeks ago in Sandomierz, Prime Minister Morawiecki spoke about how billions were taken from VAT mafias and transferred to the state budget. I would like to request at the next committee meeting that the committee ask Prime Minister Morawiecki to provide a list of criminal offenses he spoke about, along with their values and the amounts the State Treasury gained from them - added the Civic Platform MP.

New Szczecin's accession was announced by Civic Coalition presidential candidate Sławomir Nitras at a joint press conference with urban activist Igor Podeszwik.

- He is not a humble man. He is not a man who can be ordered around, who fits into certain frameworks. But he is a man who enriches any environment he joins - Nitras said at the press conference.

- TIR trucks drive through Szczecin because it's cheaper than the highway. Look how few people are here, because what offer does the city center have for people today. I was impressed by what New Szczecin and Igor did with that tenement house. They replaced the city mayor, who should be entering such buildings into the heritage register - Nitras added.

- First and foremost, proposals regarding transportation. There's a lot to be done here in Białołęka. Currently, in Tarchomin, we have one new tram line, but we want to build three new ones along Modlińska Street. Secondly, a new line to Zielona Białołęka and a line to Wschodnia Białołęka, along the route of the Northern Bridge. These are three new tram lines. We will start with the one to Zielona Białołęka. Also, in the plans for metro construction, there is a plan to build another metro line. A short one, from the last station at Młociny, through the areas at the Northern Cemetery, under the Vistula River, all the way here to Tarchomin, to Mehoffera Street, where the last station will be. We talk about transportation solutions here very often, residents ask about them frequently. The other two issues that you can see here are new schools and kindergartens. This is incredibly important because the district is developing incredibly dynamically and this infrastructure is lacking here. There will be new schools, including in Tarchomin. There will be a new high school, as I have been asked many times whether there will be another one besides the one already here in Tarchomin. There will be one in Zielona Białołęka. Another matter, concerning more parks and recreational areas. We are also planning for that – said Rafał Trzaskowski.

The campaign #100imypodblokiem, which aims to bring politicians closer to citizens, saw Minister Patryk Jaki meet with residents in the Wilanów district of Warsaw.

The meetings, held in various locations, provided an opportunity for open dialogue between the Minister and the local community. Residents were able to raise their concerns and questions directly with Jaki, who in turn shared his perspectives and plans.

The initiative, #100imypodblokiem (which translates to #100facesundertheresidencebuilding), seeks to foster a more direct and accessible form of political engagement. By stepping out of formal settings and meeting people where they live, the campaign aims to build trust and understanding.

There is a fear that this is not a party that [will not] prevent this type of situation in the future. They say they will hold people accountable, and when accountability comes, they will enter into some shady arrangement with PiS” - said Ryszard Petru in Polsat News.

- At the head of national defense, at the head of this large budget, we placed a guy who established a commission, who dealt with votes from a bucket, as in the Smoleńsk catastrophe, who was looking for electromagnetic weapons. - This is the last thing I'll criticize the Law and Justice party for: not abandoning the policy that Bronisław Komorowski pushed through in Poland. Rigid, high expenditures. This is not PiS's achievement, but Komorowski's – Kamiński added.
