Tuesday's Political Agenda: No-Confidence Vote Talks, Amber Gold, Civic Platform Investigative Team, Government Session, and President Duda's Continued Visit to Greece Today is scheduled to feature discussions regarding support for a motion of no-confidence against the government. This was announced yesterday by Grzegorz Schetyna. "I will be talking with the leader of the Polish People's Party, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, and I also want to speak with the leader of Nowoczesna, Ryszard Petru. We discussed this by phone, and I will be inviting them, urging them to debate, and beforehand, to support this motion," stated the PO leader. Ryszard Petru will hold a press conference at 10:30 AM in the Sejm. Tuesday marks the final day of the Presidential Couple's visit to Greece. Today's schedule includes President Duda's participation in the Polish-Greek Forum on Innovation and Green Technologies, as well as a meeting of the Presidential Couple with representatives of the Polish community in Greece. At 10:00 AM, the Amber Gold investigative committee will question a police officer in a closed session. Subsequently, at 2:00 PM, the committee will question Zbigniew Pakuła, the former Municipal Police Commander in Gdańsk. During its session at 11:00 AM, the government will address, among other matters, a draft amendment to the act on the principles of state property management. According to the proponents, the draft expands, among other things, the Prime Minister's competencies concerning the coordination of the State Treasury's rights in companies and ensuring a uniform method of exercising rights from shares belonging to the State Treasury. At 1:00 PM, Prime Minister Beata Szydło will participate in the ceremony marking the entry into force of the agreement on the headquarters of the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, Frontex. Between 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM, Minister Anna Zalewska will take part in a conference titled "Investment, Education, Innovation," organized by the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone. At 1:00 PM in the Sejm, the third session of the investigative team for state security threats, established by the Civic Platform club, will commence. The topic is: Two Years of Destroying the Polish Army by the Minister of National Defence, Antoni Macierewicz. At 2:00 PM, during a session of the Sejm committee on regulations, parliamentary affairs, and immunity, the first readings will take place of the amendment to the act on the performance of the mandate of a member of parliament and senator, submitted by PiS, as well as a draft resolution on the Sejm's rules of procedure. In practice, this concerns expanding the grounds for reducing the salary of a member of parliament or senator, and limiting questions during voting. At 4:00 PM, the Sejm committee on administration and internal affairs will consider a motion to establish an extraordinary commission to review the government's draft law on the State Protection Service and the committee's draft law on the Marshal's Guard, along with its implementing provisions.
