Poles longed for normality, wanted to breathe after PiS with the feeling that someone was governing well in their name. It was enough to take care of public finances, stop the wars, ensure politicians did not steal, gradually restore neglected standards, tell the truth, and address the problems neglected by PiS. And solve them. But the new government unfortunately had different priorities: revenge on enemies, flattering a bloodthirsty, hardcore electorate, fueling an internal Polish war, avoiding unpopular decisions, sowing xenophobic aversion to migrants. They didn't even keep an eye on their politicians, hungry after eight years in opposition, to prevent them from stealing.”
