"The President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, based on Article 15a § 1 of the Act on the Supreme Court, by a decision of July 9, 2026, has appointed Maria Szczepaniec, effective July 9, 2026, to the position of President of the Supreme Court managing the work of the Chamber of Professional Responsibility of the Supreme Court" - the Chancellery of the President informed on X.

"In accordance with the cited provision of the Act, the President of the Supreme Court managing the work of the Chamber of Professional Responsibility is appointed by the President of the Republic of Poland, after consulting the First President of the Supreme Court, from among 3 candidates selected by the assembly of judges appointed to adjudicate in the Chamber of Professional Responsibility or the assembly of judges adjudicating in the Chamber of Professional Responsibility" - stated in the announcement.
