Glapiński:
Inflation May Temporarily Increase in the Coming Quarters, But Should Not Exceed 3.5%
- Poland is currently not threatened by a significant increase in inflation, such as occurred during the energy crisis triggered by Russian aggression in 2022. The current situation in Poland, and in the global economy as a whole, is completely different from four years ago. We can talk about a certain stabilization of the situation - said Adam Glapiński at a press conference.
- It is true that in the coming quarters, inflation may slightly increase temporarily after taxes on fuels were raised in Poland, have already been raised. This period of a special government program has ended, fuel taxes have increased, and inflation will rise slightly. However, according to current forecasts, inflation will remain within the deviation band from the target, meaning it should not exceed 3.5% - he continued.
