Sikorski's proposal for Bąkiewicz:

I hope he does in Moscow what he tried to do in Berlin.

- As you have just heard, at the request of successive Polish governments, Germany has made a positive decision. A location has already been designated, and by December, a competition will be decided for what we hope will be an impressive sculpture that will remind Berliners of what the German Third Reich did in Poland - said Radosław Sikorski at a press conference.

- This matter has been positively resolved, so Mr. Bąkiewicz could not fight for the monument to be erected because it is already in the process. It seems to me that he came here not only to cause a commotion but to achieve some political goal, so it was probably about disrupting this process. And then the question arises, in whose interest he is doing this. Certainly not in Poland's - he continued.

- Mr. Bąkiewicz already has legal troubles for creating paramilitary groups that try to act as Border Guards or Police. If he wants to guard the border, he can join the Border Guard; we have vacancies there, but I have a more fundamental suggestion for him - he went on to say.

- The crimes of the Third Reich against Poland are already documented and will soon be even more emphatically commemorated in the capital of Germany. However, the Yezhov Operation has never been commemorated in the capital of Russia. By a decision of the Soviet Politburo, the entire Polish minority in the Soviet Union was murdered. Over 100,000 people were murdered, and over 100,000 people were deported to Siberia - he added.

- If Mr. Bąkiewicz wants to show what a patriot and hero he is, then I hope that what he tried to do in Berlin pointlessly, because a monument will be erected here, he will do in Moscow, to demand remembrance for these Polish victims of Russian purges and murders - he stated.
