Marcin Przydacz published on social media the content of the congratulatory telegram that President Karol Nawrocki sent to TISZA leader and future Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar.

“I wish to extend my congratulations on the victory of the Respect and Freedom Party in the parliamentary elections in Hungary. The high turnout and the result you achieved give you and the TISZA grouping a strong social mandate, which you will be able to effectively utilize upon taking office” – reads the letter.

“I wish you success in fulfilling this responsible mission”

“I am convinced that – as Prime Minister – you will take actions aimed at pursuing policies conducive to the economic and social development of Hungary. I wish you success in fulfilling this responsible mission, which is an expression of the trust the Hungarian nation places in you” – stated the National Security Bureau.

“I trust that the good traditions of Polish-Hungarian relations will be preserved thanks to your efforts”

“I trust that the good traditions of Polish-Hungarian relations will be preserved thanks to your efforts. The attachment to the brotherhood of our nations remains an important element of the bilateral relations between our states, which should be based on numerous common goals and aspirations” – he further wrote.

“Therefore, I received with satisfaction your announcement of making your first foreign visit as Prime Minister of Hungary to Poland. I am convinced that it will create an opportunity for a substantive exchange of views and for outlining directions for further cooperation” – he indicated, referring to Magyar’s announcement from the previous day.

President Open to Cooperation with Magyar

The Polish President expressed hope “for close cooperation in shaping regional cooperation and within international formats such as NATO and the Bucharest Nine, through which we can counteract threats to our region from the Russian Federation.”

“The Visegrád Group also remains an important forum for dialogue, which – despite the differing approaches of its member states to certain issues – plays an important role as a forum for discussing regional matters” – he noted.

“Furthermore, I count on cooperation with your government within the framework of the Three Seas Initiative, especially in the area of the region’s energy security, which is gaining particular importance in the current geopolitical conditions. I am also open to exchanging views on the future of the European Union and the directions of reforms it needs” – he indicated.

“I Express Hope for Opportunities for Direct Talks in the Future”

“Once again, I extend my congratulations and wish you success, expressing hope for opportunities for direct talks in the future” – he concluded.
