Sobierańska-Grenda:

Hospital Consolidation Isn't Liquidation. It's an Improvement in Treatment Quality

- I am pleased with today, because today we managed to announce a competition for financial support for consolidation and reorganization activities in hospitals with an amount exceeding one billion zlotys. I am very hopeful that this will be a significant support for hospital directors and owners in adapting hospitals to meet today's challenges - said Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

- [Consolidation] is not liquidation. It is worth looking at examples that exist in Poland. […] I have visited consolidated hospitals in Toruń, and I have also been to hospitals in Lower Silesia. I am aware of the consolidation of the hospital in Gliwice. There are many cases in Poland that demonstrate consolidation, showing that we can then organize more efficient patient care through care coordination. We can also utilize medical staff within a larger entity that manages several hospitals - she continued.

- So for me, consolidation means an improvement in the quality of treatment, it means opportunities for patients. We truly no longer need to speculate today, because we have concrete examples in the country - she added.
