Can a President Sign a Law While on a Plane? Przydacz: Such Technical, Simple Matters Are Absolutely Feasible

Mateusz Nowak

- I heard the ruling camp today, from the government side, the liberal-left, [voices] questioning, casting doubt on the possibility of signing such a law on a plane, as if they had stopped around 2015 - said Marcin Przydacz at a press briefing, when asked if it was possible for the president to sign a law concerning fuel prices while on a plane or in the USA.

- For many, many years, there has been something like an electronic signature in Poland, and the President calmly possesses such instruments to be able to accept various kinds of decisions. I recommend that the government side update itself a bit and realize that Poland is no longer a backward country from the 90s, but a developed economy and its administration possesses the necessary tools - he continued.

- This shows a difference, perhaps generational, perhaps Mr. Donald Tusk has stopped in time and thinks that Poland, to quote a former foreign minister from those times, is an ugly bride for whom no one is queuing, incapable of anything - he went on to say.

- Calmly, really, such technical, simple matters are absolutely feasible, so the President can make such decisions in a formal sense anywhere, anytime - he added.
