A Busy Day in the Sejm

Today marks the second day of the Sejm's session. The main part of the proceedings will be dedicated to an address by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski, on the tasks of Polish foreign policy in 2026 (the so-called exposé by the head of the MFA), followed by a debate. This item is scheduled from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

President Karol Nawrocki will be present for Sikorski's speech. Around 10:25 AM, the President is scheduled to address the media.

At 5:30 PM, MPs will consider the PiS motion of no confidence against the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Stefan Krajewski.

From 7:15 PM to 7:30 PM, a short voting session will take place, during which MPs will decide whether to include a contentious item on the agenda: a resolution on restoring constitutional standards for the election of judges to the National Council of the Judiciary (KRS). The draft resolution was submitted by representatives of the clubs forming the governing coalition: Civic Coalition, PSL, The Left, Poland 2050, and Centre. If the item is included in the agenda, the debate on it will last until 9:00 PM.

The final substantive item is the second reading of the government's deregulation bill concerning the so-called "anti-blackout package," scheduled from 9:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

Nawrocki at a Ceremony

At 12:00 PM, President Karol Nawrocki will participate in a ceremony presenting identification notes to the families of victims of totalitarianism.

Armenian Prime Minister Visits Polish Prime Minister and President

Today, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is visiting Poland. At 12:30 PM, he will be welcomed by Prime Minister Donald Tusk. Subsequently, the two politicians will proceed to a meeting. At 1:10 PM, a delegation meeting will commence. A joint press conference by Tusk and Pashinyan is scheduled for 2:30 PM.

Following this, the Armenian Prime Minister will visit the Presidential Palace, where he will meet with President Karol Nawrocki at 4:00 PM.
