KRS Reform Awaits on Nawrocki's Desk. Żurek: We Want to Convince the President

- The main topic of today's conference is the amendment to the Act on the National Council of the Judiciary, essentially a finalized law. [...] As of February 4th, the law has been with the President. The President has 21 days to sign this law - said Waldemar Żurek at a press conference in the Ministry of Justice.

- We also want to convince the President and the representatives of his Chancellery today that this law is a genuinely good solution and that it will eliminate a certain chaos that prevails in the justice system - stated the minister.

- Of course, from the very beginning, I declared during the legislative process that we are open to discussions with the President. However, I am in the position of the Minister of Justice, and there has been no specific initiative to invite us on this matter to the Presidential Palace, so that we could discuss reforms of the justice system directly, rather than through the media - he indicated.
