Work Resumes on the Project: Tusk and Czarzasty on the Future of PIP Reform

- A good project, in our understanding, is one that will not grant excessive, independent power to an official, but at the same time will be a system that effectively protects employees from the abuse and misuse of flexible employment forms - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

- The pace of work and the outcome should be such as to maximize the chances of retaining a portion of the funds from the KPO - the head of government continued.

- We are going to work, as the Prime Minister said, we are resuming work on the project, the sooner the better - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty, responding to the question of when the project can be expected.

- The simplest path is through the government, also due to the competencies, especially those of Minister Dziemianowicz-Bąk, where we had, as you know, a certain difference of opinion and we found a way out of this situation. I am glad that the minister also showed, I would say, such an ability for joint thinking - Tusk said, responding to the question of whether it would be a government path or a regulation.

- So, I am completely calm about this. Today, the minister will receive our recommendation to start work as soon as possible with Minister Żurek. We also discussed this, that the role of courts must be taken into account here, labor courts devastated by the previous team [...] I am an optimist about the good development of events - the head of government added.

- It will certainly be the case that the final instance will be the court, and I think we will go in this direction, that until the court issues a decision, the official's decision will not be determinative in this matter. But be aware, we are interested in concluding the matter related to the dishonest application of 'junk' contracts - Czarzasty noted.
