Tusk at the Belarusian Border:

At the Christmas tables, I would like everyone to remember them.

Michał Olech

- Winter has arrived, and Christmas is just around the corner. We are here, at the Polish-Belarusian border. Because I sincerely wish that all our fellow citizens, without exception, when they sit down at their Christmas Eve tables, remember all those who will be protecting our border that evening and throughout the following holiday days – all those in uniform, all those in civilian attire who will be on duty, whether it's the Polish-Belarusian border, as we are here, or a hospital shift, or a railway worker on a train – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press briefing on the Polish-Belarusian border.

- Wherever people will be fulfilling their service, wherever they will be thinking about their Christmas tables, I would like everyone at those Christmas tables to remember them. We are very grateful to them for guarding our security and order, and for saving human lives, sometimes in very difficult conditions, throughout the year, and when necessary, also during the holiday season. This is a very important thought and should accompany all of us, as this is also what solidarity, understood most deeply, is all about: one for all, all for one, when we need closeness and warmth – he continued.

- For someone to be able to celebrate, someone must keep watch, and once again, I would like to express my sincere thanks to all those who will be guarding our security here, on the Polish-Belarusian border – the Prime Minister emphasized.
