Przydacz:

We Don't Expect 'Thank You' from Ukraine, but Solidarity and Realistic Relations

Michał Lubowicki

- It's not about us expecting the word 'thank you' today, because the Ukrainian side, the President of Ukraine, has said this word many times. It's not about just exchanging words. We expect a certain solidarity and a realistic approach to these relations - said Marcin Przydacz on Polsat News' 'Gość Wydarzeń'.

- Ukrainians ask us to help them with something, and we ask, for example, to be able to bury those murdered in Volhynia. Or Ukrainians ask us to make Rzeszów Jasionka airport available for their transport needs. We understand, please do - but we need Catholics in Lviv to be able to go to the Maria Magdalena Church - he listed.

- Ukrainians need the Polish border to be open. We understand, we can help - but we expect Polish businesses to have suitable conditions created for them in Ukraine when the reconstruction process takes place there with international funds, God willing - he continued.

- Such expectations in the realm of history, in terms of respect for identity. Well, it is difficult to close our eyes to a process of certain glorification of people whom we are convinced and certain were criminals. So these types of expectations, sometimes very specific, and sometimes, of course, quite broad. The broader they are, the more difficult they are to realize, that's clear. But sometimes these are really small things - he pointed out.
