- I believe everyone in our country has also understood that securing the eastern flank, together with countries that border Russia or have problems in the Baltic Sea, like Sweden with Russia, should involve cooperation - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press briefing in Helsinki, before the Eastern Flank Summit.

"They Realistically Reduce the Threat from Russia"

- I participate in these meetings with great satisfaction. They truly and realistically reduce the threat from Russia. They also help Poland, Finland, and other countries in this format, I am referring here to Sweden, and of course the Baltic states; they also help us utilize European funds for the protection of our eastern border - the Prime Minister continued.

- As you know, we in Poland were the first to start building the "Tarcza Wschód" (Eastern Shield) in connection with the war in Ukraine and the Russian threat. We are currently investing billions of zlotys in this. It was very important for us that this be a common [unclear word - ed.] European initiative, and this format, which includes Scandinavian and Baltic countries, as well as Poland, and also Romania, greatly facilitates action on the international stage regarding support for this initiative - he continued.

"The Goal is to Build the Most Modern Anti-Drone Wall"

- Our goal is to build the most modern, effective anti-drone wall, a wall saturated with technology, so that the threat from Russia is not as troublesome as it is currently - emphasized the head of the Polish government.
