President Vetoes Cryptocurrency Bill

Michał Lubowicki

- One bill, in addition to the four that the President signed, he decided not to sign, [...] he vetoed the bill on so-called cryptocurrencies, crypto-assets, that is, these digital payment instruments, which are becoming increasingly popular, which can also be a source of wealth, economic development, and are important for start-ups - said Zbigniew Bogucki in "Gość Wydarzeń" Polsat News.

As he explained: - This bill is an implementation of a European regulation, meaning other countries are also implementing such solutions. If I were to write, I have empty pages here, the Czech or Slovakian law printed, it would literally be a few or a dozen pages. And this is what the Polish bill looks like. This is deregulation according to Donald Tusk and this government: over 100 pages of regulations, various kinds of restrictions, which go beyond what the European Union expects from us, demands, or rather, specifically, what the regulation requires.

More details shortly.
