Poland's President is an Anti-Communist, the Sejm Marshal is a Post-Communist. Nawrocki on Cooperation with Czarzasty

- I am glad to be with you – said President Karol Nawrocki on Radio Wnet, greeting host Krzysztof Skowroński and the listeners.

- No, I wasn't as happy when I heard that Włodzimierz Czarzasty had become the Marshal of the Sejm. Such is the will of the Polish parliament; I will have to cooperate with Mr. Marshal – he continued, when asked if he was equally happy today upon learning that Włodzimierz Czarzasty had become the Marshal of the Sejm.

- Today, we have a situation in the country where the President of Poland is an anti-communist and a former head of the Institute of National Remembrance, and the Marshal of the Sejm is a post-communist. We have very distant visions of the state, the past, and I think, also our future, but we will be observing how this cooperation between the president and the marshal looks – he added.

- We know the Marshal's statements regarding the communist system or the values that are close to me and a large part of society. Regardless of this, as President of Poland, I naturally respect the choice of the Polish Sejm, the parliament. I profoundly disagree with it; I wish we were in a different place, but I respect Polish democracy – he added.
