- We wanted to present our position regarding the project that is being developed [...] by Donald Tusk's government, which involves amending 4 laws leading to the merger, to the fusion of Pekao S.A. and PZU. In our conviction, this is an attempt by the current authorities, people associated with Donald Tusk and the coalition of December 13th, to enrich themselves on state assets - said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

- Everything that constituted the achievement of the Law and Justice government, i.e., the return of Pekao S.A. into Polish hands, into the hands of the State Treasury, will be forfeited through the action proposed by the government of the December 13th coalition. The dispersal of ownership will cause those who today control Pekao S.A. bank and PZU to enrich themselves on these assets - he continued.

- This cannot be allowed to happen, therefore, firstly, we announce that the Law and Justice Parliamentary Club will oppose it, and secondly, we will mobilize public opinion to protest these actions - he went on to say.
