- I assure you that within a few months, the situation [in the Constitutional Tribunal] will change. Regarding the laws, I have significant doubts about the final step in the legislative process, namely the president's signature. However, I am referring to the replacement of judges due to the completion of their terms – said Piotr Zgorzelski in an interview with Patryk Michalski on WP's "Tłit" program.

- Yes, they should be elected. And they should be judges who, in addition to being outstanding lawyers, have the character to simply fight against what still remains from the PiS era – he stated.

- The process of electing judges to the Constitutional Tribunal will begin this year – declared the Deputy Marshal of the Sejm.

When asked if this was a coalition agreement, he replied: - I think so.

- I agree [that opinions on this matter are divided], but I happen to be on the side of the political discussion that believes we should begin the replacement process and propose candidates – he continued.
