– During the election campaign, the then-candidate, and today President Karol Nawrocki, promised that within 100 days there would be cheaper energy bills and cheaper energy, and I think we are dealing with a very serious lie – stated Adam Szłapka at a press briefing.

– A bill lay on the president's desk, prepared by the government, whose precise aim was to lower energy prices for Poles, short-term – because this bill included an energy price freeze for the upcoming third quarter – but also long-term, because it contained a very good solution for the development of wind energy and onshore wind turbines. These are the most effective from the perspective of energy transformation, and they are accepted by the majority of society, because according to recent polls, significantly over 50% of Poles accept such solutions – he continued.

– The president's decision is, first of all, simply not consistent with what he promised, because it is effectively hitting Poles in their pockets. Whether this is mere malice directed against the government, or if it is simply incompetence – it is simply a bad decision, it is a fundamental mistake – he went on to say.

– It's only Thursday today, and this week the president has already made two terrible mistakes, and both are bad from Poland's point of view. Of course, the government – the Ministry of Climate, the Ministry of Energy – will not give up. Of course, we will also prepare solutions that will strive to make the development of onshore wind energy possible – he added.

"We will not give up"

– This bill was really good, because the final decision on building such turbines could be made by local communities and local governments, and within distances of 500 to 1000 meters, there was a special bonus for households: 20,000 annually to be shared among households that decided to have such a turbine installed, meaning additional sources of funding – noted the government spokesperson.

– We will not give up; we will continue to work on good solutions – he said.
