– "This is clearly a political matter. In my opinion, the point is precisely to prevent us, as the Border Defense Movement (Ruch Obrony Granic), and me as ROG leader, from operating effectively. We have exposed a certain ineptitude, an indolence of the Polish state, and therefore we must bear the consequences, and they need to turn us into criminals and thugs," – said Robert Bąkiewicz on Super Express's "Morning Ring" program.

– "Since there's no proof that we are actually criminals and thugs, fictitious attempts are being made to take action so that the public watching us would be convinced that Bąkiewicz is, after all, a criminal," – he continued.

He assessed: – "These are absurd charges, unfounded in fact, and this Polish-German border is just the icing on the cake, because it shows that this is not about insulting officers of Polish services, but rather about preventing us from approaching the border."

– "The prosecutor's office is leveling trumped-up charges, forced by Korneluk to do so, even though it states – because the prosecutor's office in Gorzów Wielkopolski says this – that there are no grounds for bringing these charges. In other words, a political factor is forcing prosecutors to bring charges," – he added.
