– Let me put it this way, Mr. Editor, as a long-time, experienced PSL member, I am a little surprised, so to speak, by this topic resurfacing again. Firstly, this is not part of the Polish People's Party's agenda, so I don't understand the activity of my younger colleagues on this matter. Secondly, it is clear from the Polish People's Party's statute and its 130-year history that on ideological and religious matters, there is complete freedom within the Polish People's Party. Therefore, I am somewhat surprised when I hear my leaders, both Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz and Marshal Zgorzelski, attempting to speak on behalf of the Polish People's Party on these issues – stated Marek Sawicki on the '24 Questions' program on PR24, when asked about PSL's support for bills concerning so-called ideological issues.

– I want to emphasize quite clearly that my leaders should be aware that they are bound by the Polish People's Party's statute. There is a party congress in November. If, at the congress in November, they change the statutory provisions and introduce party discipline on ideological or religious matters, then, of course, MP Sawicki will also comply with that – he continued.
