– Poland is, was, and was meant to be represented – and indeed participated – in meetings of European leaders with President Trump, and this was the understanding after this entire week, by President Karol Nawrocki, of course, after consultations with the government. These are the facts, – said Adam Szłapka at a press conference.

– The exact same group of participants who took part in the call on Wednesday and Saturday with President Trump attended yesterday's meeting [in Washington], – he stated.

– From the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, all information was conveyed, all notes were conveyed. Why the Chancellery of the President perhaps did not get more actively involved in this – that is a question for representatives of the Chancellery of the President, – he pointed out.

– However, with absolute certainty – and these are the facts – Monday's meeting was not a 'coalition of the willing' meeting. It was a meeting in the exact same format in which President Nawrocki decided to participate on Wednesday and Saturday, – he reiterated.

– If one decides to take responsibility for such an area on behalf of Poland [...], then one must bear that responsibility with all its consequences. It's not enough just to announce participation in a very important meeting; one must then also actively advocate for this format, – he added.
