Szłapka:

Poland Cannot Have Two Foreign Policies

Michał Olech

Poland cannot have two foreign policies. Poland must have one foreign policy, and within this single foreign policy, the government always prepares the official position. The Chancellery of the President received the government's position for this meeting, and we were in contact – stated Adam Szłapka at a press briefing.

What's more, after this meeting, the next day, at the Prime Minister's request, a meeting took place between President Nawrocki and Prime Minister Tusk, where they also discussed that this is how tradition looks, and that this aspect of these meetings, if it simply turns out this way, functions better. It is a long-standing tradition that in Polish-American relations, the president takes the leading or greater part of the responsibility. In that case, we will simply work to provide the official position, Poland's position, so that the president can represent it – he continued.
