– Yesterday's meeting in Washington took place in precisely the same format of a call with Donald Trump as on Wednesday. Therefore, if it is indeed the case that there is an established practice, a tradition, that the President bears greater responsibility for representing Polish interests [...] in Polish-American relations, then such responsibility also comes with consequences, – said Adam Szłapka on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń."

Asked why then President Karol Nawrocki was not invited to the meeting, he replied: – Either the still incomplete experience of the President's aides – because the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) was active here, trying to convey all information – or for some reason the White House, Donald Trump, decided that a representative of Poland was not needed. But in such a situation, one must actively seek inclusion.
