Przydacz:
I'm Surprised Minister Sikorski Didn't See Fit for Direct Contact with Presidential Chancellery
– Is policy really decided between spokespeople...? Perhaps I would suggest to Mr. Wroński, the MFA spokesperson, that perhaps Minister Sikorski himself should be making calls – said Marcin Przydacz on RMF FM, when asked about contact between the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland (KPRP), the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in the context of arrangements for Poland's presence at talks in Washington and reports that the President's spokesperson was not answering the phone.
– Minister Sikorski did not call me, nor do I know if Minister Sikorski called the President; I doubt it. I spoke with the MFA, with those individuals whom I consider substantively competent for such a discussion on security policy, and I naturally tried to establish certain issues as well – he continued.
– It's difficult for me to have complete information in a situation where neither the minister nor the prime minister are willing to make a phone call and inform about what the discussions entailed – he went on.
– I spoke here with our ambassador to NATO [...] Jacek Najder [...]; he served for me as, I would say, an intermediary [...]. I am a little surprised why Minister Sikorski, specifically, did not deem it appropriate to be in direct contact. Perhaps he is, I don't know, outside Warsaw; I have no idea – he concluded.
