Bodnar on Manowska's appeal:

She repeatedly contributed to the current state of affairs.

Michał Olech

I only saw the statement by Deputy Minister of Justice Dariusz Mazur, who very critically assesses this appeal. All the more so because President Manowska has, on multiple occasions, contributed to the current state of affairs. Let me remind you that even the issue of handling electoral protests and what happened before the Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs rather casts a shadow on what First President of the Supreme Court Małgorzata Manowska has been doing recently – stated Adam Bodnar in the "Poranek TOK FM" program, when asked about Małgorzata Manowska's appeal issued to resolve the crisis in the judiciary.

However, let me remind you that perhaps this attempt stems from the fact that in early July, a very serious motion was filed to waive Judge Manowska's immunity, due to her failure to convene sittings of the State Tribunal for many months, or her refusal to execute legally binding court rulings. I think this is quite an important aspect of this whole story – he noted.

Probably yes, if everything proceeds in such a way that these neo-judges handle such motions, then it's difficult for them to act in an absolutely objective manner in such a situation. However, let's remember that there is also a second procedure initiated before the State Tribunal, because the State Tribunal itself must also rule on whether the immunity of the President of the State Tribunal can be waived in this case. And I believe that in such a situation, the mere fact that these proceedings are underway, the mere fact that the story of this blatant violation of the law is being publicized, that we are discussing and reminding people of it, is already of value to our public debate – he continued, when asked about the chances of waiving President Manowska's immunity.
