– The key aspect of what the president said was the emphasis on the necessity of spending 5% of GDP, on the one hand, on the modernization of the Polish army, but also on increasing its numerical strength to 300,000 – said Rafał Leśkiewicz on Radio Republika.

– He also announced work on a security constitution. This is, of course, linked to Poland's new security strategy, on which work will begin soon. Here, of course, in cooperation with the Polish government, the National Security Bureau (BBN), headed by Prof. Sławomir Cenckiewicz, will participate in these works, and undoubtedly, the time has come to seriously sit down and prepare a new security strategy – he continued.

– I hope that the Polish government, the Minister of National Defence, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, and the Prime Minister will also seriously take President Karol Nawrocki's announcements and the need to seriously discuss Polish security – he pointed out.
