Bogucki on Nawrocki's Participation in Teleconference with Trump:

That is the President's Role.

- Well, if the government were governing, then probably the government or the prime minister would have been at those talks. Well, it is clear that it is not the case that the government is governing in such a way that the American side, that President Trump, would consider them an appropriate partner for this conversation. The facts speak for themselves - stated Zbigniew Bogucki on Radio Wnet.

- Mr. President Nawrocki is active when it comes to these transatlantic relations, when it comes to relations with the Washington administration, with Mr. President Donald Trump. These relations are very good. This is also evidenced by the conversation that took place yesterday, but also by various signals that came even during the campaign, and later after the concluded campaign, after Mr. President Nawrocki's election victory, while Donald Tusk's administration practically has no relations with the United States. This is unfortunate, because I would like the Polish government to govern - he continued.

- Of course, the President is active in international relations, in this case particularly in relations with Mr. President Trump, because that is the role of the President. The President is not just, so to speak, a person who is supposed to sit in the palace, but has to actively work towards realizing Polish interests on the international stage. Because these are also the prerogatives of the President. We sometimes forget about that - Bogucki continued later in the interview.
