Domański on the KPO Issue:

It always infuriates me when I see public money wasted.

As Minister of Finance, to use your expression, it always infuriates me when I see public money wasted. And here, every zloty must be checked; we must thoroughly audit and control the expenditures that have been made. Poles have the absolute right to be certain that these funds, even if they are EU funds, are being spent optimally. And here, the funds from the KPO are driving Poland's energy transformation in a way that raises no controversy whatsoever. We are using this money to insulate Polish homes - stated Andrzej Domański on the program “Gość Wydarzeń” on Polsat News. - [...] Tens of billions of zlotys from the KPO have been spent precisely on building railway networks, on investments in home insulation, and on investments related to energy grids. Well, this money will truly work well for the Polish economy. Of course, we inherited the so-called KPO project, delayed by two years. Why? Because our predecessors, PiS, for absurd, even shameful reasons, decided not to reach for EU funds - he continued. - We know that, we know that the president of PARP, who was responsible for implementing these investments at that time, no longer holds that position. I am convinced that the ongoing controls will be effective - Domański concluded.
