Berek on his new government role:

It’s not that the government hasn't been working like this before…

- The government's policy encompasses everything the government is responsible for, and according to the Constitution, the government is responsible for all matters occurring within the country and for international relations, explained Maciej Berek on the program "Poranek TOK FM" when asked about his new role in the government.

- However, to be more specific about the area I am to be responsible for, and also to explain to listeners a bit about the role we are currently implementing, we have agreed with all my colleagues in the government that, beyond the usual daily work which involves dozens of prepared documents, draft laws, and so on, each of them will highlight two or three matters that are, from the perspective of the given minister, a priority, the most important to achieve, so that within this parliamentary term, the time in which we are working, we can state what results we will have achieved - he continued.

- Sometimes these are things to be completed entirely within these two-plus years, sometimes these are topics where we will be able to show some stage over this period. When we talk about energy, for example, all these projects, by their very nature, require time that extends beyond a two or even three or five-year perspective - he said.

- No, it's not that the government hasn't been working like this before. However, never in the Council of Ministers, neither the current one, nor the previous one, nor preceding Councils of Ministers, has a place been created where this was collected in such a systematic, process-oriented manner, right? And that's what my team and I are doing now. We will approve this within the Council of Ministers - Maciej Berek concluded.
