Domański on the proposal for so-called zero PIT:
The government's role is not to fulfill the president's electoral promises, particularly those aimed at the wealthiest Poles.
I, of course, prefer to wait for the actual bills that the president has presented before looking at the calculations. Yesterday, a proposal concerning the so-called zero PIT appeared. And this is a cost of 30 billion zlotys for the budget. Well, that's a huge, huge amount of money. And as I said before, it goes to the wealthiest, to the top 20% in fact, the wealthiest – stated Andrzej Domański in the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.
The government governs, and the government's role is not to fulfill, to implement the electoral promises of the president, particularly those aimed at the wealthiest Poles. We currently have defense expenditures reaching almost 5%. This is our absolute priority. 187 billion zlotys planned in the budget for this year. We are increasing healthcare spending, another priority of our, our government. We are implementing a number of social programs, such as the now-famous 'babciowe' (grandma's allowance) or widow's pension. So, this government is implementing, on the one hand, what I believe to be a very intensive investment program, and on the other hand, we are taking care of the security of Poles, and we are fulfilling our social commitments – Domański continued.
